Thanks to to the cracked latch reviews I approached the removal of the inner lid for cleaning and accessing the steam vent cap for cleaning with great care, and success. The user manual is deficient in many ways including how to remove and replace the inner lid, this is what I did:1. Open the lid facing you2. Recognise that the edge silicone gasket must face you when replacing (not back to front)3. Grasp the two lower latches and firmly but slowly and gently lift them up and inwards, they will click and release4. Tilt forwards lifting the fixed top latch out from its slot, you can now access and easily remove the steam vent cap for cleaning5. Replace by first inserting the upper fixed latch into its slot6. Firmly but slowly and gently push the lower ... There was no concise notes or booklet on how to use the machine. The little notes that WERE provided were very basic indeed. And what happened to the recipie book you used to get with appliances. On how and what to cook in appliances
I bought Rice Cooker 3000 series few months ago. It is amazing. Very handy and helpful for 2 to 4 people cooking specially for ones who are not ar home for cooking. I put everything in it and go out to for other things. When I come back, everything is ready. It is really good for cooking meet, stew and rice as well. Very happy for having that. Highly recommended.
The inner body of the cooker gets stained easily for no reason...The problem started from day 1 before I started using it. ...I was extremely careful in putting in and removing the inner pot as well the lid before and after cooking. I also wipe with a dry and damp cloth carefully. The service staff said the stains cannot be removed. They also suggested water and vinegar but didn't work.
Call Philips service centre and asked to WhatsApp the rice cooker model and inner lid picture. Was informed no stock for this inner lid. Wanted to know is there any follow up from Philips. Or I need to call Philips every now and then.
