How excited can you get over a steam iron? Well, the Phillips 7000 is amazing! My 10 year old Sunbeam hand held steamer went bust so I was looking for another strong(er) hand held steamer. I actually bought another Sunbeam steamer but it was so heavy (with 300ml of water to hold onto) - that I had to return it. The Phillips 7000 has super strong steam function that goes vertically or horizontally. Great for dresses and shirts. In addition it can be used as an iron with its smooth iron plates - great for pants! So you can use it to steam whilst hung up, or you can put it flat on an ironing board and use like a conventional iron (with or without steam). It’s not heavy as the water reservoir is smaller - it can do 2 items before adding more water.

The handheld steamer is quick, easy to use, saves me from having to set up my ironing board. The larger water container lasts through steaming quite a few items.

The Phillips 7000 garment s steamer works well, but can be annoying to use.Every surface apart from the steamers front is rounded, this can cause it to easily roll around - off any table/ironing board, this is especially annoying with the refillable water holders in the bases handle, they are round, so they won't sit in one place either when empty or filled.Also the unit is larger than a normal Iron, so using on a ironing board can be problematic when wanting to put it down.Instructions are minimal and should be better, especially when it comes to emptying the steamer after use, the online manual is the same, more picture orientated than descriptive.Needs practice/use to get the best out of it, but does a good job once you get the hang of it.
