Something ive learned about my baby with bottle feeding is that he tends to like a faster flowing nipple on his bottle during the day time and a slower flowing nipple for his night time feedings. Having the option to interchange the sizes out on our bottle while still being able to keep the advantages that the advent anti collic bottle provides is so important. Our baby prefers this bottle shape and design and the anti collic attachment that sits just inside the bottle to help reduce the intake of gas for his feedings is a huge bonus for us both! It's like this bottle and nipple were designed to make cleaning easier when using a bottle brush. They fit perfectly together. The wide bottle and nipple allows the room and space for the wide bottle brush to get in all the little shapes for a really good clean that leaves no residue behind due to not fitting. No matter how old your baby is I would recommend this bottle to any parent whether you are newly introducing a bottle or if your looking for better options out there. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle nipple set.

I was very pleased to try the Philips Avent Anti-colic Bottle With AirFree Vent and the flow 1 nipple 2-pack. Not only is Philips Avent a well known and used brand but their design was quite different from others I have tried. The AirFree vent is a singular piece that once you tip up it locks the formula or milk in the nipple for the rest of the feeding. This allows for paced feeding without the nipple emptying and allowing air into the babies mouth, resulting in more gas and discomfort. This is the winning feature in my book!! It isnât a deterring factor as I will still continue to use and purchase the product, but having to buy nipples in increments of 2 when the bottles are sold in increments of 3 creates extras which are not needed.

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this nipple to test out!My little one is 6 months and started out as a breastfed baby, but due to being premie and not latching, turned into a bottle baby with breast milk. When we were continuing to try and breastfeed and bottle feed, I learned a lot about bottle nipple flow rate and correct bottle nipple shape and latching. This nipple shape is not great for correct latching to avoid air getting into the babyâs mouth. The top of my babyâs lip would curl under and it took a lot of effort to get the correct latch on the nipple which left my little one frustrated and me feeling defeated that it wasnât just an easy and great bonding time during the feed. The flow rate was too slow for my now exclusive bottle fed baby, but the flow rate is great for a newborn, or breastfed baby that doesnât need a faster flow rate. The nipple shape also makes it hard to clean really well when washing since it is a drastic change from the base of the nipple to the top. The nipple material was really sturdy and would not be broken down easy for teething babies, so that is a plus! It is also very helpful to have a variety of flow rates to choose from for each stage of feeding!Overall, this nipple may work for some babies and parents, but I wouldnât recommend for breastfed babies, or parents looking to get a natural and easy latch and easy to clean nipple.

I received the Philips Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottle Flow 4oz bottles as part of a trial from Stellar Product Testing Panel. They were used with my third child, currently a newborn. We have tried no fewer than 15 types of bottles over the course of three children and these are amongst the top two. I will be purchasing the 8oz bottles as baby get bigger.I started using the Philips Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottle Flow 2 Nipple system on week 3 of having baby home and fed them with expressed milk. The level one nipples allowed for slow intake of milk to avoid gas build up and cramping. This resulted in less gas and discomfort for the baby. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle nipple set.I really love that Philips Advent bottles have a variety of nipple flow rates to choose from. They sent me a flow rate #2 set which is for babies 0+ months. My baby is currently 3 months and we had previously been using nipples with flow rate #1. I was hesitant to move up to the next flow rate as the #1s were still working for my little one. I can happily say I shouldn't have worried as the flow rate increase was gradual enough that he wasn't sputtering or having any difficulty in adjusting to the new flow at all.As I had previously been using the same nipple shape, just a different flow rate, there wasn't any change in my baby's gassiness or amount of spit up.While there ... MoreThanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle nipple set.I really love that Philips Advent bottles have a variety of nipple flow rates to choose from. My baby can get the while nipple in his mouth which I believe is not the appropriate way to feed from this nipple. I prefer shapes that spread out to a wider base, mimicking the breast. I'm sure this nipple shape is something a baby who is exclusivity or mostly bottle fed can get used to but my baby only uses bottles a quarter of his feeds per day. He's also silly so he light just enjoy sticking the whole nipple in his mouth.Overall, this is a good nipple. It doesn't collapse, is easy to wash and assemble onto the bottle, and has a good flow rate for my little one. I would recommend these nipples to anyone using the Philip Advent Anti-colic Bottles and anyone looking to change bottles with the intent of reducing colic and gassiness.
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle nipple set! I have always used the Philips Avent ânaturalâ bottles and nipples for my kids, but when I started trying these with my 1 month old son, I realized that I like these anti-colic nipples even better. What I love:- I have had other nipples leak from the ring area, and these nipples have NEVER leaked on me. They fit into the ring very securely and easily.- These nipples are slightly firmer than other nipples and this helps prevent my baby from collapsing the nipple. Sometimes he gets frustrated while drinking from other bottles, and I think it may be because the nipples are too soft.- With other nipples, my son seems to require many breaks while eating and it seems like it ... MoreThanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle nipple set! Sometimes he gets frustrated while drinking from other bottles, and I think it may be because the nipples are too soft.- With other nipples, my son seems to require many breaks while eating and it seems like it takes forever for him to drink a bottle. This gets frustrating during the middle of the night feedings. He drinks much better from these nipples. He has only ever finished a bottle without needing a break when using these nipples. With other nipples, he has needed a break every time.- The flow rate is good and as expected. The bottles came with size 1 flow, and I also received size 2 from the Stellar Product testing panel. My son dribbles a lot when eating, so it was so helpful to experiment between the sizes to see if his dribbling was due to flow rate. My son just turned 4 weeks, so right now it seems like he still prefers the size 1 flow rate, but I think we will be sizing up to the 2 pretty soon. The ONLY con I can really think of is that I didnât really notice any difference in my babyâs gas with these nipples or with other nipples. He usually has a very large burp after feeding that I can help him release pretty easily through burping, and his burp seems the same with these nipples as it was with his previous bottles. So, I canât really tell if these nipples truly help with gas, but my son is able to release his gas without gas drops and he definitely prefers these nipples regardless of whether they help with gas or not.
I received these Philip Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottle Flow 2 Nipples from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and they are quite good. I am not as big of a fan as these as I am the natural nipple and screw ring, but my son has not been phased in the least by our mixing these nipples into our bottle feedings. He is actually nursing more than ever, so thereâs a good possibility these may work great for nursing moms. It really depends on babyâs preference andI like that philips avent offers different flow speeds to their nipples. This helps baby feed quickly and with this particular bottle set, without adding too many air bubbles into the feed. We donât currently use formula, but I can see the appeal of these for formula-fed babies, or for use by those who are pumping exclusively. When thee Anti-Colic nipples are used with the anti-colic bottles and vents, the vent allows the nipple to fill completely without the milk or formula escaping back down the bottle. This, combined with the way the vent pulls bubbles away, reduces gas for baby. Less gas usually means a reduction in fussiness - and who doesnât want that?If you have a gassy baby (oh boy do we), I highly recommend these. The ability to change the flow rate can not only help reduce gas, as you can slow the feeds down if baby has been gulping too much air, or you can speed them up if things are under control and taking a long time.Overall, these nipples are great as a part of this anti-colic system. If you have a gassy and thus fussy baby, you would be smart to choose them.
Big thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with these Philips Avent Anti-Colic size 1 nipples. I was very excited to try these size 1 nipples along with the Philips Avent Anti-Colic bottles. The bottle functioned exactly as promised and I was able to easily pace-feed my little guy. He had no trouble latching to the wider nipple, even though he is used to drinking from âstandardâ sized nipples. Nipples come in a variety of sizes (1,2,3&4) and are easy to swap. An easy switch for this size 1 nipple slowed the flow for my little guy. He has always needed a shower nipple than most - as a full term newborn using âpreemieâ flow nipples and as a 4 1/2 month old continuing with a size 1 slow flow nipple.I appreciate the ability to easily swap the nipple to adjust the flow rate. These nipples work with any size Philips Avent anti-colic bottle (4oz or 9oz or 11oz). They can be used with or without the anti-colic vent in these bottles, and provide venting when used on their own. Upon a quick online search, these nipples are easy to find and purchase - same-day in stores or shipped to your home.I have no hesitancy recommending these anti-colic nipples to any bottle feeding parent. I look forward to continuing to utilize these in our bottle feeds.
Since day 1, our daughter struggled with reflux and having a hard time getting a good latch. The Philips Avent bottles have been a miracle product! We received the bottle set and size 1 and 3 nipples and it has made adjusting the flow rate super easy. We actually use both sizes of nipples at different times during the day. When our daughter is more awake and alert, we use the size 3 and when weâre putting her down for a nap or bedtime, we use the slower flow since sheâs sleepy. My favorite part about the bottles and parts are how easy to clean, sterilize and reassemble they are- mom win for sure! She has a really high palate and would lose suction creating a huge mess by the end of the feeding- also meaning she wasnât getting every last drop of milk. She never makes a mess anymore and has had less spit ups occurring.Thank you to Stellar Product Testing Panel for gifting us this set of bottles to test and review. We now have piece of mind knowing our baby is getting every last drop of milk and that sheâs comfortable.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend these bottles even though they do have some potential, in theory.I am so grateful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel to allow us to test these bottles and nipples particularly right when my son was having so many feeding issues we were trying to work through!
