It is extremely important, ESPECIALLY right now during the pandemic that we know our 3 little ones are eating from and using items that are clean and sterilized. Can’t get over how much the sterilizer actually holds either, it’s quite impressive! We absolutely LOVE this sterilizer and will be buying 2 more for the grandparents houses! It had instructions for multiple sterilizer, and it was difficult to differentiate between them. The on/off button was not clear, and the instructions stated to keep it on for 10 minutes. I could not for the life of me find if it had an actual timer to stop it automatically or if you had to set a timer!Overall, the sterilizer did its job and was able to hold a lot- which made it super convenient. With saying that, it’s not something small that you would want to leave on your counter all of the time. It’s a decent size (which is a positive and can be a negative if you don’t have much counter space!).

With all the bottles, pacifiers, and small toys that need to be cleaned daily I really need something that is quick and effective at sterilizing and this product does the job! Because of the width of the opening of the flanges, they basically each took up the space two bottles would use, leaving only two additional spaces for actual bottles in the large segment. This was ok for us and our needs, but problematic if you use more bottles than we do.The bad: This sterilizer did not have a drying function, which means that you then still need to dry each of the newly sterilized items by hand, inside and out, which kind of defeats the purpose, since whatever you use to dry the items renders them no longer sterile. The next time I used it, I tried leaving the items in the sterilizer longer thinking they would drip dry; this didn’t happen, even with an extra hour sitting in the sterilizer. The other thing to remember is that this is a sterilizer only; all items still need to be washed before putting them in.In conclusion, this is a nice-looking product with a lot of promising features in theory, but in execution, it really didn’t function in a way that saved us any time or aggravation. We still use the small compartment of the sterilizer for pacifiers and teethers, but for bottles and larger pump parts, we typically just use the dishwasher sterilizer function as part of a regular wash cycle. For our needs, I do not think I would have purchased this product.

I can start it whenever we just have a couple items dirty. I also like that I can use two baskets at once and when we have lots of bottles, I can load it all up! This machine is so much more convenient than the other machines and methods I have tried since you can easily fit all of the products and can start it with the push of a button.My favorite feature about this product is the ability to dry after sanitizing. I have had sanitizers before but they did not dry so all of the items would be soaking wet when the machine finished. The dry cycle takes a little longer, about 30 additional minutes after the sanitizing method, but totally worth it to have dry products.There was one feature that was a little hard for me. The instructions recommend using distilled water. Rather than have buildup and need to descale the machine I am using distilled water but I now have to make sure I always have some on hand because I love to be able to run this machine whenever I want to at the touch of a button! I love that this Philips sterilizer is designed to sterilize not just bottles. It's roomy and has a sleek design where u cannot see everything as it's being sterilized. Anything that helps look less cluttered is a plus for me. I used to just boil water in a pot but it took forever for the water to start boiling and I would have to watch it constantly. With 2 kids under 2 years old, that's difficult. I love that you can just plug in this Philips sterilizer, press a button, and just leave it. In 10 minutes, you're done. So easy. If I'm being honest, I have sterilized our baby items once, maybe twice. But when I started using the Phillips Avent bottle sterilizer, I started sterilizing daily! Know better, do better - right? I love how compact it was on my counter. We're not daily bottle users, but I love that in only ten minutes, all of our stuff was sterile. I could use just the smaller section for baby spoons, teethers or just the big section for bottles. It can be customized based on what we used that day.
