I bought this mainly because I wanted a portable CD player to use in the backyard or take on camping trips. It only offers FM radio. There's another Philips version with DAB if you are willing to pay more. Good sound, buttons are easy to press but the symbols are hard to read, you really need to squint to see the light gray print on the buttons. Its controls are very basic but easy to set up. For example, I just scanned the radio channels and used the 'preset' button to bookmark the ones I liked so now I have a selection of radio channels to listen to. The CD lid is opened by pulling or pushing down the lid and the CD must be pressed into the spinner. It's light and small, can fit into a backpack or shopping bag, so it's easy to lug around. You can plug it into a power point or use 6 x Type C (R14) alkaline batteries.
This Cd player works well. It uses Four C size batteries when there is no power supply. It has good speakers. The volume is controlled by up and down buttons rather than a dial. I like that feature. It is easy to use. It is more expensive than other portable CD Players but I think it is made better and will last longer.
I found this boombox to be of great value. It is exactly what I wanted - something small to fit on my shelf with good sound. Would recommend.
I like it because it is dual purpose and can be run using batteries and/or plugged in to an electric source. I like the size and sound. Very good value for money.
Very neat portable item, sound is great and comes with the added benefit of an FM station. Instruction are on the thin side but easy to work through. Good brand lives up its high reputation and very reasonably priced.Highly recommended.
Very small for the price. Everything works ok . Sound is ok for size. I find the display is hard to read when putting it on repeat mode.. had to read instructions twice then listen to cd all the way through to make sure it did repeat. Otherwise its good for what I wanted it for.
Delighted with my Phillips sound machine. Can't believe it sounds so good for such a small item. As usual , Appliances on Line came through. Regards
