I purchased this because the other one that I had just wasn’t making a good cup of coffee. After having to descale it every 50 to 100 cups was becoming a problem. This one I haven’t had to descale yet. Bee using it about 3 months now and no problems. No matter what kind of coffee you like, it comes out great. Love the iced coffee feature. First using it I was disappointed with the taste of the coffee. Was weaker than I expected. But after making a few cups it got much better. I’ve seen a few very low ratings from some people, I feel that they didn’t give it a chance or really didn’t know how to use it. They say it makes a lot of noise when grinding the beans. We are enjoying the coffee machine. It makes a great expresso, coffee and latte. It is an upgrade for us and does require more attention such as emptying the drip tray and coffee grinds daily, oil removing, oiling, and frequent changing of the water filter. Mostly, we are good with all of these and feel they are worth the enjoyment of a better brew.The aqua clean filter has been an issue for us. It should last for 3 to 6 months but ours was used in 6 weeks despite the fact that we only use water that has been previously filtered. It is a must to preserve the warranty so quite an additional extra expense. This component definitely needs improving.No more plastic cups is a big plus.

To begin, the ground coffee option (for decaf) doesn't work well and the coffee was watery. Next, the water needs to be filled when it is still half full and a lot of water fills in the bottom of the machine instead of going in the coffee. The main issue I am having has to do with the americano function. I am able to make one americano, but when I make the second cup, no water comes out after the espresso is dispensed. I have completed all of the trouble shooting recommended on the website and also called customer service. The issue has not been resolved unfortunately. The customer support representative, had no idea of my review or the issues I had with my machine. They directed me to the Facebook page for Philips. Every component of this espresso machine is really well designed. Kudos to the engineers who came up with the LatteGo System. Brilliant way to make frothy milk using Venturi fluid dynamics! Simple user interface. Front-loading water reservoir. Easy access to brew unit for cleaning and maintenance. And mostly importantly, great coffee! My only concern is longevity, but Philips offered an extended 2 year warranty on top of existing 2 year warranty. On their website, they mention this model is discontinued. I am trying to understand why Philips discontinued this fabulous machine. Mystery to me!
This is my second 3200. The first one always said that the water container was empty even though it was not empty, so before 30 days were up I took it back, they replaced it. This is my second 3200 latte go I have a few pounds of great ground coffee that I cannot use on this machine because every time I put a scoop in the ground coffee container I just get dirty water out, not coffee! I have to run it about three or four times to make that component work. I feel if I’m spending close to $800 on this machine every aspect of it should work! I am a little worried about the longevity of this thing because it is fickle. There are a lot of moving components and often times the sensors are incorrect, especially on the water the water can have water in it and I have to add water or readjust the carafe into the base. For the light to go out in that coffee maker to continue service I don't know if that's a warranty issue or not but I am monitoring it very closely because I am within my first six months , other than that I have tried many beans and I kept the original adjustment on the coffee maker and it makes excellent everything that it offers. I would probably recommend getting an extended warranty just because I feel like something might or could go wrong with this when you see how many moving parts, and how many features it has coupled with the sensitivity of the lights , you might want to consider an extended warranty just in case something happens. Phillips will probably stay in beside their product no matter what and I'm sure that they will take care of me too if something happens.
