I struggle to figure out the exact best grind level for taste while not creating a mess within the machine. Cleaning the brew device appears simple in the video, but I have coffee grounds in a bunch of places and I’m not sure if that is user error from too fine a grind, or some issue inherent in the device. The flavor is generally good. I keep up with my filter changes (expensive as we have hard water so have to change more frequently). We had a similar machine years ago that lasted 10+ years, so we are hopeful this one will last as well.

It has an adjusting dispenser for different size cups & you can adjust the coffee strength. Machine includes the ability to make expresso, regular coffee, hot water & has a frother. You have the ability to use ground coffee or whole beans. It also pulls 2 shots at once. For all that it does, it is surprising compact on the counter. There is a learning curve, especially if you have no experience with an expresso machine but didn’t take too long to overcome. The only negatives for me were the awkwardly small size of the ground coffee hole. This could definitely be larger. Now Philips has created one similar to my last Saeco and the price was right, through Seattle Coffee Gear. This was a gift that my thoughtful partner gave me. It has far exceeded my expectations, and now no longer buy Starbucks (saving a pile of money) The frother is excellent silky, creamy froth, added bonus perfect for a cup of tea, London fog, Latte, Cappuccino, Espresso - so many incredible coffee drinks, that you would pay a fortune for - at home!
Was complicated to setup n had to order special filter from Amazon. Then it leaked n was very noisy! Sent it back for refund.

I have not ventured into use of the milk frother, as I am a "drink it black" person; but my spouse proclaims a desire for a latté so I will venture out to the realms of milk frothing. Cleaning the brew mechanism is actually quite easy, aided by the on-line video instructions from Philips; the manual is a bit sparse in this area, but the video instilled knowledge and comfort in performance.
