Am using the White Ambiance downlights over the dining room table, tried a colour one but it makes your food look weird, so this is the perfect light for over the dining table. The colour downlights better suited for living, bed or theartre rooms. The White Ambiance still has a range of soft yellow lighting options all the way to bright white, and also very good whe just one downlight needs to suffice rather than a gang on the same wall light switch.

Speedy, friendly and a bit extra!I ordered quite a few lights, they came in 48 hours, and they checked to see if I had a hue bridge (I did), just in case I was a hue newbie and didn’t know I needed one! Order was exact. Would recommend, great price and really fast delivery. When I need more, I’ll be back.reviews.me

These bluetooth downlights work so well. Love them! We can turn them on remotely just before arriving home, we can get our google home device to turn them on for us when we talk to it. So handy. We changed all our lights in the living room, hallway and dining room. Just brilliant, no more searching for the light switch in the dark.

I've fitted out my house with Hue and Lifx Smartlights and switches. Hue works so much better than Lifx. Never a delay when turned on. Fast and easy to use. Pair with a Hue Switch and works even better. I have mine paired though Apple Homekit and its breeze walking in to my home at night with the lights on waiting for me and automatically turning off when I leave the house
These are expensive but they are very good. The low light dimming range is exceptional, as is the full gamut of white colour control. Pairing with the bridge allows programming and easy control via the app. Control with the motion sensor add on is very good too. The switches have been a bit more hit and miss for me.
Philips lighting is usually very good quality and are my usual choice, but this is my first Hue light. Most of the Hue lights seem overly expensive, but this Chinese made one is more affordable and seems to work well. However the range of colours you can get from it is rather limited unless you have the Hue bridge. You can dim it and have some basic timing functions, but to be honest I haven't found I use those after initially playing with it. This is probably only worth considering if you want to use it as part of a more sophisticated setup with multiple Hue lights.
Really liked the idea, they work well but need Location services (GPS) to operate. I have tried taking this up with Philips support, who are unable to explain why their software needs Location services to operate a Bluetooth communications protocol.This location requirement was not mentioned in any of the reviews I had read, and these products were purchased to replace (wifi) network controlled devices...They are a great product let down by by excessive requirements and prices. I'd be really happy with my purchases if they had been true Bluetooth controlled downlights.
We were thinking about putting in a dimmer to control the lighting in our lounge room. Than we considered using the Philips hue downlights. Best discussion as we can now control the lighting via voice with the appropriate product or via Bluetooth. The only disappointment is that they don’t do colours.
I have several of the lights. They all sync wonderfully to the Hue Hub and function as expected. Four stars is for the fact I wish these lights were a bit more wattage/higher lumens.
Install this down Light a month ago and it has been good so far. It’s a nice premium Light that was easy to install. Works well when linked with Hue hub and paired with a Hue Motion Sensor. Good dimming Gradient.
