This is a hugely expensive LED strip light, mounted in a white stick.It is very well executed though. The base is heavy, and the elegant simplicity of the light make it worth the investment. The light even comes wrapped in a little cotton bag, to make you confident you overpaid for the item!The light can be controlled through Bluetooth, or WiFi using the hub (sold separately).The gradient feature is fun, though you can only specify three "points" using the hue app. You choose the start, middle and end colours, and the light makes a nice gradient between them.As someone addicted to Hue lights, I can easily see me buying another one of these.

I am delighted with this gradient lamp, which had added another dimension to my lounge lighting set up. It works extremely well with both the Hue app and Apple home app.The biggest bonus, however, is how excellent it is as a reading lamp, simply by choosing a scene from the Hue app.I was lucky enough to buy it on special offer, as well as taking advantage of John Lewis's fairly regular offers for money off purchase over a certain amount. These offers are a great idea, not to be missed! Made an expensive lamp much more affordable.

Found this in John Lewis Swindon after ages searching. It's great with excellent mood settings. Changed the room ambience. A real feature and conversation starter.
When not lit this lamp looks just like a plain stick! I have placed it in my dining room in a corner behind a marble column topped with a large plant. In the evening this now gives an exceedingly beautiful coloured glow around the wall. Luckily I bought it whilst on offer, otherwise I would have considered it far too expensive.
I have two of the previous design and this new design looks much simpler. Undecided yet which I prefer as new one strikes me as looking a little less of a 'premium' product. Maybe it just needs more time to grow on me. Interested to know what others think...
Wanted this for corner lighting behind a tall plant and it works brilliantly. Good service from John Lewis (was also one of the few retailers to have the item) with the item despatched quickly and delivered promptly. As with all Hue items it installed with ease and actual use is a breeze with the app. Highly recommended.
I purchased this lamp to use in the lounge area of my kitchen where it creates a unique ambience. It looks stylish when not lit and has a very wide variety of colour options which light the wall. I use it in conjunction with Hue television lights.I highly recommend this light despite the price.
Pros: Great product. Does the job and more. Love the look. So unfussy.Cons: Minor scratch from plug moving about in packaging. Could have just put a protector over the metal prongs to solve this.
