Needed to light the area around my front door purchased 2 of these lights which are both attractive and really light up the area beyond my expectation. Have received several compliments from neighbours.

The outside lights that I purchased we well made, easy to fit and came with all the fixings I needed and decent instructions.They are attractive and light the garden well. The clever bit is the app that controls the lights through the Philips Bridge ( sold separately) . They can be timed, dimmed and set to come on randomly in many ways. The Bridge allows up to 50 lamps to be connected so as my existing lamps fail I shall replace with the Philips ones. Not cheap but fun.

I am going to do this review in two parts, one for the Tuar porch light assembly and one for the Hue control element. This is because you could add the Hue control element to your home by simply purchasing and installing a Hue bulb (without the assembly) in your current porch light.The Tuar light assembly goes together well and mounts on a wall very easily. However, the build quality is simply average. it is not a substantial unit and feels rather cheap. The plastic white enclosure is also rather cheap and only time will tell if it fades, discolours or changes shape over time. However, rather than doing this, we have set the Hue system to switch our light on at sunset and off at sunrise and this works well. We also, sometimes, override this as required.All in all quite expensive considering the build quality and the fact that there is no motion sensor built it. But it does install easily and work well. We control Hue using Amazon Alexa and this also works well.
