I love the pen trimmer that's included with the device, which I found useful to use on upper lip and facial hair before and in-between treatments.The device itself is comfortable to hold and very intuitive to use. Although it has a cord attached, it doesn't get in the way and it's a good length so you don't have to sit close to the mains. I personally didn't feel any pain whilst using the device, however, on high settings you do feel slight warmth and a sensation like a rubber band snapping, which isn't overly uncomfortable. It comes with three different attachments for body, face and bikini/underarms which are easy to interchange.I would have preferred a more robust storage box/container to a cloth zip bag, since the attachments are quite fragile (the microchip sticks out of each attachment) and could snap easily if squashed which would render them unusable.Overall, I think that it's a fantastic device with which you can achieve long-lasting near-permanent hair removal at a fraction of the cost of salon treatments. It's not for those who expect immediate results, as it takes a number of treatments to notice results depending on your skin/hair type. It takes patience but you won't be disappointed!

Its instructions are comprehensive, easy to follow and understand, and very descriptive in helping the reader understand exactly how to use it along with many recommendations and safety advice.The heat from the product's light is very gentle and barely noticeable, with a selection of heat settings for your preference. The pulse from the light is very bright even when pressed hard against the skin, which is something worth noting.It will take time for results to show, but from an operational point of view this product provides a very friendly user experience. It is intuitive and easy to operate and simple and clear instructions.

This is my first IPL product and I was worried that I might not know how to use and thus the results will not be effective. However, this product came with very good user manual that has clear instructions to guide me along and the product itself is really simple and intuitive to use! That’s only one button to toggle the different modes and a trigger to press for the light so operation is really easy. Setting 3 is very comfortable on my lower leg and the initial results after the 1st treatment is really promising, so can’t wait for subsequent treatments! This product is cheaper as compared to IPL salons and I can do it anytime I want at home, saves me the hassle from making a trip to IPL salon!

Integrated safety features ensure the flash can not be activated unless correctly positioned, and will automatically disable if it detects too dark a skin tone so as to avoid skin reactions.This is a hair removal treatment that requires a little patience but within the first couple of weeks after my initial treatment, I noticed areas where hair was no longer growing and after using for just over 6 weeks (3 treatments), the hair free areas are increasing and in those areas where there is still some hair it is finer than usual, and is as a result of the nature of the growth stages of hair so, with continued use every 4 weeks or so I look forward achieving and maintaining long term hair free skin.
I have a lumea that I purchased in 2011. So easy to use but the battery life became short and I wanted a replacement to keep on top of all those years of hard work! I purchased this one and used it on my legs and under arms for the first time today. I’ve found that it doesn’t always make contact with skin first time so I’m readjusting it and it can take a few attempts. Even when I use the small attachment on my underarms, it’s a struggle. Such a shame because I have no doubt that this device is probably more advanced than my old device. It’s just time consuming and I am in a position to compare because this is my second lumea. 🤞let’s hope it was worth the struggle !
I bought this product after getting fed up of having to shave my legs everyday because the hair would grow back super quick. I am pale and have black thick hair which should be the perfect skin /hair type for this product. Been using it for 10 weeks now but the hairs still grow back after 2/3 days. Yes there has been a slight reduction and it has slowed down the growth but nothing like the advertised 100% hair free. I’ve tried it on other areas like my arms, armpits too to see if results would vary but I am not hair free anywhere. Quite disappointed as after reading all the reviews I really though this product would be what makes my life easier.
So glad I bought it. I saw immediate results. It does take longer to treat than stated when actually using it on different parts of your body, but it’s worth it in the longer term. I have a low pain threshold so in some parts it did hurt me - I just lowered the setting to manage it. Initially it only heated up once and I had to turn it off, but I was able to reuse it after a minute. After using the device around 8 times, the cooling recovery time is longer, so you do have to wait for around 4/5 mins to allow it to cool down. It happens about 2/3 times in a large area (e.g half a leg).But overall, I would recommend this product, it’s great and I should have bought it sooner.

You won't be able to download from playstore nor from the url provided. The few Philips staff that I engaged with had assist to "escalated" the issue of the "App not available in your country/region" and most said the technical team will get back within 24-48 hours. After 6 days.. they got back and said that they will release the App in April. I bought the product in early march and I was told to wait for the App release. If the App is not ready, why did Philips sell the product.Secondly, I am considered a pretty fair Asian. With their key statement "Suitable for a wide variety of hair and skin types". It is NOT TRUE.
