This product arrived very promptly. Its instructions are comprehensive, easy to follow and understand, and very descriptive in helping the reader understand exactly how to use it along with many recommendations and safety advice.The heat from the product's light is very gentle and barely noticeable, with a selection of heat settings for your preference. The pulse from the light is very bright even when pressed hard against the skin, which is something worth noting.It will take time for results to show, but from an operational point of view this product provides a very friendly user experience. It is intuitive and easy to operate and simple and clear instructions.

This is my first IPL product and I was worried that I might not know how to use and thus the results will not be effective. However, this product came with very good user manual that has clear instructions to guide me along and the product itself is really simple and intuitive to use! That’s only one button to toggle the different modes and a trigger to press for the light so operation is really easy. Setting 3 is very comfortable on my lower leg and the initial results after the 1st treatment is really promising, so can’t wait for subsequent treatments! This product is cheaper as compared to IPL salons and I can do it anytime I want at home, saves me the hassle from making a trip to IPL salon!

I have considered buying this device for a long time, and had read all the reviews, so I had high expectations. I have done 3 treatments now and I am blown away by how good it is. I already don't need to shave between treatments, it's just incredible. I epilated my legs for years, so I'm not that surprised that they have slow and patchy regrowth, but I shaved regularly elsewhere and couldn't really last more than a day or two without shaving again. I also used to really suffer from ingrown hairs on my legs from epilating, but these have all gone now.

Fast delivery, bought on 15 February and product got delivered on 17 February. Very easy to use with the quick instructions and it’s not heavy at all. Comes with a bag for storage. I have used it once only because the instruction says first treatment once every 2 weeks. I have very sensitive skin and I don’t see any bad skin reaction to it. I use it on my legs. I tried the light intensity from 1 to 5 and it doesn’t hurt at all. It has this flash light to indicate your skin tone is safe for use. Try not to look at it while you press it to release the flash. It’s super bright.

The first attempt was difficult as it was hard to find the right light intensity due to my dark skin under the armpits. It wasn't paining but there was the stinging sensation in your skin which is in any case nothing compared to waxing or plucking, as far as I'm concerned. The next sessions were smoother with reduced light intensity, thanks to Philips Lumea app. After 4 sessions I have observed that the hair growth is at a lower pace. I've bought Lumea and first 4 months followed the instructions, but I have been doing weekly sessions, I was shaving twice per day and it wasn't working at all on my light skin and dark thick hair. I thought I've bought the wrong Lumea because mine doesn't have facial extensions. After 4 months, tired of shaving in the mornings and evenings, I have plucked everything I could and used the lamp again. After only few weeks the hair started growing much lighter, thinner and not so noticeable. So glad I bought it. I saw immediate results. It does take longer to treat than stated when actually using it on different parts of your body, but it’s worth it in the longer term. I have a low pain threshold so in some parts it did hurt me - I just lowered the setting to manage it. Initially it only heated up once and I had to turn it off, but I was able to reuse it after a minute. After using the device around 8 times, the cooling recovery time is longer, so you do have to wait for around 4/5 mins to allow it to cool down. It happens about 2/3 times in a large area (e.g half a leg).But overall, I would recommend this product, it’s great and I should have bought it sooner.
I have used the Lumea twice and the hair is already growing back patchy. I can actually see where the machine has been, the shape of the light flash and where I have missed. I am quite pale under the arms and I keep my legs covered so they are very white too and my hairs are brown to black so a good candidate for good results. I got the lumea on sale so price was great. Quality is what I would expect from any appliance which does what it says it does. I’m 40 and would definitely recommend this product to a friend. HEAPS cheaper than going to a clinic.
So far so good! Still using it in its early stage of treatment but i must admit its easy to use and absolutely love the App that guides and reminds you when using the IPL. Excited to see the results, love the fact you can do it at home. Happy to say to date this has been a great purchase for myself personally. Currently doing my underarms and bikini line, which are my main areas of concern. Only just done the 2nd treatment so still early to see results yet- but confident to see it through, even if it does a little, i will still be happy! Thankyou Lumea!
Not too sure if the previous reviews are real. But here is a 100% genuine one.Firstly, the Philips Lumea App is not available in Singapore. You won't be able to download from playstore nor from the url provided. The few Philips staff that I engaged with had assist to "escalated" the issue of the "App not available in your country/region" and most said the technical team will get back within 24-48 hours. After 6 days.. they got back and said that they will release the App in April. I bought the product in early march and I was told to wait for the App release. If the App is not ready, why did Philips sell the product.Secondly, I am considered a pretty fair Asian. With their key statement "Suitable for a wide variety of hair and skin types". It is NOT TRUE. I have tried it both on myself and my husband. With both of us pretty fair, our pits area doesn't not work. Its forever in "orange"- which means "it is too dark for this product it will automatically stop emitting pulses." In this case, I couldn't even use the product at all. In fact it is mostly orange on parts of my legs at well which are considered fair and definitely in the range of Philips "suitable" skin type.Not really recommended for purchase unless you are like snow white..Pretty disappointed with this product.. its not cheap either..
