I purchased a norelco trimmer years ago and it was great but it finally went kaput at the end of last year. I purchased this one end of December as a comparable updated replacement. out of the box, I was happy. It's waterproof so i can use in the shower and clean it. But I quickly got annoyed by it. the button placement makes it easy to turn off with your thumb. and the power of the motor is so weak! I'm upset that I just past the 30 day period and am stuck with it. may end up giving it away or using them for dog grooming.

Like every other device out there.The only thing is I wish it was waterproof just to be able to wash it all as it would be faster to clean. The head/blade is waterproof at least. The series 7000 is waterproof.But, this is the one I bought 3 and a half years ago or 4 and a half, I forget, and it still works great today, August 2022.

This model is a major downgrade from my previous 5000 Series model from several years ago. It's NOT waterproof and cannot be rinsed with water to clean it. The attachments are limited and finding the proper length for hair and beard is nearly impossible due to lack of sizes for the guards. It's also made with a rubber coating that makes it easy to hold, but which also collects A LOT of dirt that cannot be cleaned off, since it's not waterproof.Considering it's a 5000 Series like my last one, it's sickening that they would make it a vastly inferior product. I feel like I was scammed.
I was drawn to this razor after shopping for quite a while. Good for both men and women. I like that it is light weight, the exterior material is soft and comfortable and will not slip from your hand. The balance of the unit is fanominal. The on/off button is a soft touch, the unit is quite and has a low frequency vibration. Over all I really like the unit. For younger people with taught skin it would be a 5 star product. But for those of us who are staring to age and have some sagging skin and use a blade cover, pulling to make skin taught, you tend to get harsh nicks, especially on the curves of your body. If Philips makes a unit that would address the problem I described I would Love to sample the unit.
