The actual device is well built and has many different parts depending on which application is needed (i.e. beard trimmer, nose hair trimmer, eyebrow trimmer, etc.). As I got older and the hair receded from my head, it seemed to sprout from my nose and ears instead.Because of that, I’ve used these trimmers for many years. The ones I’ve found and purchased before are very cheaply made, and when you need them the most, they fall apart. This one is different. From the moment I opened the case to install the included AA battery (and it’s a lithium one, which usually costs more than others) I could feel the quality. On the others I’ve used, the battery cap practically falls apart in your hands. You turn this cap to the “unlock’ position and you can feel the quality as the cap and battery holder are released. The attachments go on the device in a solid matter also.Included are a few different eyebrow trimmer attachments. I’ve never seen those on trimmers before and they’re useful. I also used them to clean closer around the ear lobes than the regular included ear trimmer attachment.I also like the included drawstring pouch. It makes it easy to keep all the small attachments together, not losing any of them.The only negative I could find is in the picture on the Best Buy website for this device. It shows a gray trimmer attachment that is not included in this device, or in the list of attachments in the included instructions.Bottom line, for the price this a really good unit and one I think you’ll be happy with.
The Norelco Nose Trimmer 5000 does exactly what it is designed to do: it cleans up the nose and ears while shaping the brows and details of other areas as well. My favorite feature of this trimmer are the interchangeable heads that are easy to switch and all work so very well. Having used trimmers before, I normally do not look at the directions, but I took a moment to read the ones that came with the Norelco 5000 Trimmer, and they were quite helpful and easy to understand (this would be excellent for those new to using this type of product). I have tried other products in the past, and found that you either have to lug around a cord and look for a plug to recharge, or you do not get a very strong amount of power with battery usage. The Norelco Nose Trimmer 5000 runs nice a strong on a battery. The item is lightweight, but quite sturdy and does come with a two-year warranty. The only improvement I would like to make to this product is that some people have much thicker hair and often it takes several swipes to shape or trim down hair if the blade is not sharp enough. I truly recommend the Norelco Nose Trimmer 5000, especially for those who travel, to keep in your overnight or makeup kit, for models, actors, and actresses to always look their best, and for all makeup artists (and they know how valuable a great hair remover can be).
