I recently got this to replace a different brand that was starting to die through old age. The trimmer blade itself looks weird compared to most other trimmers, but it definitely does work and safely trims hairs that would otherwise be hard to reach. Being able to remove the head easily to clean that is also a good feature.The only downside I found was it struggled initially to cut some of the longer hairs (it had been a while since my old trimmer had gone to trimmer heaven) my old trimmer could cope with - due to the design longer hairs I suspect sometimes lie down parallel to the blades so may need multiple attempts to trim. I've had previous trimmers that had cutting blades arranged vertically. Performed well enough, but this beast, with its cutting edge orientation really gets those unwanted hairs, and very easily! I also have a 3-head, rotating Philishaver and I find it amusing that this trimmer's cutting action is akin to a foil electric shaver. Using the eyebrow comb attachment makes doing the brows very easy and results in even length (I used to use a beard trimmer and handheld comb - care needed). Nice little pouch to keep all the bits together. Waterproof so no worries if used in the shower.

Before, I had overgrown nose hairs like the Jungle world of Dagobah. I found it increasingly difficult to breathe through my nose and often felt as if I had boogers lingering in my nostrils only to realise it was my excessive nose hairs. Well, I purchased my Philips norelco 3000 series 5+ years ago and only recently last year finally changed the battery. I am a woman, but still have issues with nose hair. It has never pulled or was unable to handle hair upon every semi weekly use. By the way…it is STILL working!

It's really an inexpensive item in general terms, but in relation to its direct competition in the marketplace it is twice as much. A least if you buy a cheaper trimmer you won't feel so bad about tossing it in the trash when it starts to run shabby.
