Philips Norelco OneBlade 360 Face, Hybrid Electric Beard Trimmer and Shaver with 5-in-1 Face Stubble Comb, Frustration Free Packaging, QP2724/90

The Philips Norelco OneBlade 360 is a revolutionary new electric grooming technology designed for men who wear facial styles, beards, or stubble. Its dual- protection system, a glide coating combined with rounded tips, makes shaving easier and comfortable. Its shaving technology features a fast-moving cutter (12000x per min) so it’s efficient, even on longer hairs. The innovative 360 Blade can flex in all directions to adjust to the curves of your face. The design enables constant skin contact and control. Easily trim and shave hard‐to‐reach areas, with fewer strokes and greater comfort. Create precise edges with the dual-sided blade. You can shave in either direction to get great visibility and see every hair that you’re cutting. Line up your style in seconds! OneBlade doesn’t shave as close as traditional blade – so your skin stays comfortable. Unique 5-in-1 open comb design provides an efficient trim without clogging and interrupting your routine, even on long and thick hair. OneBlade is fully waterproof, so it is easy to clean. Just rinse it under the tap. You can shave wet or dry, even in the shower. No shaving foam needed. Stainless steel blade lasts up to 4 months of use** to keep that fresh feel. An eject icon will appear on the blade when it’s time to consider changing the blade for the best shaving experience. Fully rechargeable, the OneBlade 360 Face delivers 45 minutes of continuous shaving power after an 8-hour charge. USB-A charging cable included (wall power adapter not included).

360 Blades don’t fit the Face+Body clip-on guides

So, 360 blades are not compatible with the clip-on guides, but not usable without the guides. Obviously, I cannot return the blades because I didn’t discover this incompatibility until after I opened the package and attempted to use them — thanks to the lack of any notice or warning on the packaging that these replacement blades are incompatible with prior models. I’m going to assume most retailers have stopped, or will stop, selling the standard replacement blades and only stock the new 360 blades. So get ready people: you can either buy a new 360 One Blade handle for $30 and a 360 Face+Body Kit for $20, or attempt to order the old style blades online and hope the seller doesn’t send you the new, predominant 360 blades — erroneously thinking replacement 360 blades are interchangeable.

But sadly you need photo is to collect which isn't possible on the lockers. So now my shaver is trapped in a ups locker and I can't get it.49 mins on the phone to ups and they are looking into it.I have made two complaints to Phillipa the first one they offered me discount on future purchases (yeah right). Still awaiting to hear about the second complaintBut it's been like a month with no shaver so why am I paying for a subscription for something I don't have.Very poor Phillips. The way the blade moves according to the movements across my neck and face have made a big improvement on the original. However, I am only giving a 3 for three reasons, the attachment that might be used to trim my beard, is so fiddly to put on and take off that it is pointless spending so much time putting it and taking it off. I have no idea what the other attachments are for and how to put them on. They have never been used nor will they be, unless I can find a use for them and how to put them on. Finally the app. It is completely pointless, other than looking at the guides which are of very limited use, as several of them relate to a different model. It has not been opened in a long time and I will never bother with it again, without a significant upgrade.

The best electric razor I've ever used
5 February 2023

My first use with the OneBlade 360 was straight after a shower (wet shave). I had around 2 weeks of hair growth and I used it to shave parts of my neck and face (tidying up my beard). It cut through the hair very well and was extremely close to matching the closeness of a regular razor blade. As with other electric razors it required going over the same area a number of times. However I found the blades didn't seem to heat up like other electric razors I've used and seemed to glide over my skin a lot better without any irritation. My second usage was to test how well they would shave my head. Again, I had a couple of weeks hair growth (4-5mm), though this time it was a dry shave. Again, I had a couple of weeks hair growth (4-5mm), though this time it was a dry shave. To my surprise it cut through my hair very well, almost as well as my electric clippers but with a much closer shave. This is something I've always struggled doing with other electric razors as they can't seem to cut through longer hair very well.I charged the OneBlade when I received it before the first use. I've used it a few times since then and not had to charge it again yet. A big plus for me is that the battery is lithium so it charges a lot quicker when compared to other types of batteries used in electric razors and clippers. In summary the OneBlade is the best electric razor I've ever used. It is able to cut through head and beard hair at varying lengths without issue, giving the closeness of a regular razor without the risk of cutting or irritation. I will be using this a my primary method of shaving both my head and facial hair. My one issue was that I was unable to match the straightness of my beard lines when using a regular razor (shavette) but this was probably due to the difference in technique and may take some practice.

It's remarkably easy to switch between settings and the blades are durable, making this a cost-effective choice in the long run. The OneBlade's battery life is impressive too, ensuring that it's ready to perform whenever you need a quick touch-up or a full grooming session.Ease of use is a standout feature. The intuitive design meant that there was no need for a lengthy manual read-through. I was able to get a perfect trim on the first try, which is a testament to the product's user-friendly nature. Cleaning is just as simple, with the blade head being water-resistant for a quick rinse under the tap.Overall, Philips Norelco OneBlade is a revolutionary product that has set a new benchmark for electric trimmers and shavers. It's a five-star grooming tool that offers a superior shave, remarkable ease of use, and leaves your skin feeling smooth and refreshed. I would highly recommend the OneBlade to anyone looking to streamline their grooming routine without compromising on quality.

Included in the box is the OneBlade handle, a OneBlade 360 flexible head, a guide comb with 5 length adjustments, a blade travel cover and a USB charging cable. You will need to supply your own charging brick, which most household have one of these days so you should be fine. If not any charging brick from Best Buy will do.The OneBlade handle has a nice lime green and black finish that has little grippers on the side. It feels comfortable in your hand pretty much anyway you hold it while shaving. I use it on my head and neck and the line my beard. I have sensitive skin and always struggle with razor burn with any blade razor and normal foil trimmers. No matter what I use I get them. This is the first trimmer I have used that doesn't give me razor burn! I’m able to glide it over my skin perfectly flat because of the flat surface between the cutting blades and just run it back and forth trimming away unwanted hair.Because of this design it does NOT cut as close as a razor blade, but I find it to be just fine. Yes, you can feel the stubble, but you can't really see it. Best I can describe it as is the length of stubble you would have 8-10 hours after a fresh shave in the morning. And since this isn't a razor blade or foil trimmer you can cut any length of hair with it, so if you've missed a few days and got some gnarly stubble or you’re wanting to take care of your eyebrows or facial hair you’re set with this.Another cool thing is the 360 Blade head. They not only pivot front and back they pivot side to side. I found this very helpful on my head as I didn’t have to try and hold the handle just right so the blade could cut. It was able to pivot around my funky noggin and get those hard-to-reach spots. I found the spring stiffness a bit too much for my neck however, so I had to move the handle around more to get everything trimmed, however it's easier to see my neck than the back of my head so this isn’t too bad. And your mileage may vary with the spring stiffness. If you don’t find you like the 360 Blade heads, they do sell the regular heads that just pivot front to back. The blades have a replacement indicator that appears in the center when it's time to change them as well. The trimmer had been used near daily for the last two weeks and still has charge in it. Its comfortable to hold and works just fine in the shower. I really like the OneBlade and it's become my go-to for my hair trimming needs.

[Rewarded Review] Good face trimmer at a good price! Quiet too!
15 February 2023

The Philips Norelco OneBlade 360 Face does a great job. It's very quiet compared to other trimmers I've owned! The main unit feels really sturdy and it's 100% waterproof, so you can use it wet or dry. It seems to do a fine job in either situation. The blade mechanism has decent contour movement. It does take a bit of practice figuring out which way to hold the unit for the best angle depending which area of your face you're trimming. I found it easiest on the front and sides. The neck area took a little playing around to figure out. The little area right under the nose I couldn't quite get the hair length to match with the way the comb sits on the blades. The little area right under the nose I couldn't quite get the hair length to match with the way the comb sits on the blades. I had to pop the comb off and do a little fine adjustment to the length of the hairs for it to match the rest of the mustache. If you want a smooth shave in certain areas, you'll want to go over those areas with a normal shaver. When using the trimmer without the comb in the neck area under the chin I did experience a decent amount of irritation afterwards for a little while. This should lessen as my skin gets used to the new shaver. The rest of the face area was fine no irritation, so I think it's probably partly the angle of the blade I was using. The device is really light and would be quick to grab and take with in a bag while traveling. The power is a little interesting because it plugs into a USB port, but the end that plugs into the device is not USB. You'll have to supply your own USB port as no charging brick was included. The battery life with the Nimh battery is pretty good and will get you several shaves from a full charge. They say for a full charge to leave it charging for 8 hours in the manual. There is a light on the front of the device that lights up when it's charging.Replacement blades are pretty reasonably priced at 28 dollars for a 2 pack at the time of this review. I haven't had the trimmer long enough to have a good idea how before I'll need to change blades. The unit also has a little plastic cover for the blades that pops on if you want to keep the blades protected between trims.Overall, I'm pretty happy with the trimmer. For the price I think it's a great deal!

[Rewarded Review] Nice companion to the shave routine!

So, over the past few years since I started working from home all the time, I will say that my normal shaving cadence has stretched out quite a bit. My electric shaver does great after two days, but once it gets past that, there are some comfort issues unless I go over my entire face once going with the grain of my beard (to allow the middle trimmer style blade to reduce the size of the stubble), then the normal shave. This was a better alternative than using the pop-out trimmer to do the first pass as that wasn't the most comfortable. While I had seen the original OneBlade before and was intrigued, I just wasn't sure if I really needed something like that. This was a better alternative than using the pop-out trimmer to do the first pass as that wasn't the most comfortable. While I had seen the original OneBlade before and was intrigued, I just wasn't sure if I really needed something like that. Now, with the new OneBlade 360 series, I figured I would give it a try.The handle for the OneBlade 360 Face is a good size. It has the push-button on/off and an single LED battery indicator (to give you a basic idea on how much charge is left). There is a textured rubber grip, which is nice (but can make it a little harder to clean the trimmed hair off). On the bottom, there is the charging port for the USB-A to proprietary port cable (and by the way, it does not come with the USB charging block, so hopefully you already have one available). The blade on the new OneBlade 360 is very similar to the previous version, but now it has added side-to-side tilting along with front-to-back tilting with the idea to allow it to follow the contours of your face as you use it. While I understand the idea, I personally don't see any benefit (at least for the side-to-side portion) as it takes quite a bit of pressure to get it to tilt and it actually gets a bit uncomfortable (the corner areas outside the cutting blade edges will start to push into my skin). Just a general guiding along my face to trim everything is all that is really needed. It does come with an adjustable comb for keeping your beard at just the right length. Now, the main functionality of the blade, the beard trimming, is great. It isn't designed to give an extremely smooth shave, but in my experience, it does get it down to a 10-12 hour shadow. It works fairly quick, and as an improvement over my previous process, it doesn't really leave any missed hair. I've tried using it several times, with the beard length ranging 3-4 days, and there is not an issue with the length. With using it as a pre-shave trim down, it allows me to get the final pass with my regular electric shaver done very quickly (about a minute). While I'm not too keen on the "360" aspect of the blades (which you can get the non-360 replacement blades that will still work with the handle), the overall functionality is a great first step in my lazier shaving process.

[Rewarded Review] Philips Products Don't Disappoint
9 February 2023

Philips is a brand I trust and I personally own several Philips health devices, from my CPAP Machine, to my Sonicare Toothbrush. To be honest, I'm not too fussy about shaving, but I do have a goatee and mustache. This OneBlade from Philips Trims, Edges and Shaves in one easily used convenient device. It's also waterproof, so you can use it the shower.Out of the box, you need to charge it for about 8 hours. I was surprised to see it uses older NiMH Battery technology as opposed to Lithium Ion, but even though NiMH is older, it's still reliable and safe. Once charged, it can provide up to 45 minutes of use (so says Philips). I can't confirm that as I won't ever find myself in a situation which requires using this for 45 minutes. And when not being used, it will be plugged in to charge for the next use. This is very simple to use. You get a 360 Blade, with fast moving blades, which move 200 times per second and moves in just about any direction to adjust to the contour of your face. You also get a 5 setting cutting comb, which you can use to trim hair, such as a beard or mustache. It comes with a USB (standard USB A, not USB C) cable, but no charging brick. Most of us have loads of charging bricks sitting idle in a drawer, so not an issue. And you get a cover for the blade, which protects it when not in use.Blades are said to last up to 4 months before needing to be replaced. Philips suggests as you use the shaver, over time a replacement symbol will appear, which when fully visible lets you know it's time to replace the blade, which you can order from Philips or your BestBuy Store. It comes with a full two year warranty, it's from Philips a name you can trust and is a nicely designed, simple to use grooming device.

[Rewarded Review] Smooth & great for edges - adjustable comb just ok
14 February 2023

I normally use a razor to edge my beard and shave my head, but I was looking for something a little more convenient for quick touchups. I have tried other electric razors before, but they were too big and the edge trimmer function did not get close enough. This shaver is lightweight, and the design is perfect for edging around my beard and sideburns like a razor can. It even worked ok with the longer hair on my head - while it didn't get stuck you definitely have to slow down a bit. It is not as smooth as a razor, but with a few passes it looks good and did not cause any irritation. You can shave wet and rinse it off. I like that they include a protective cover for the blade and that you can use any USB port to charge it. I didn't run it until it was empty, but I was able to trim my neck, face, and beard out of the box without issue - so the quoted 45min of run time on the rechargeable battery is accurate (just plan ahead, because it can take up to 8hrs to recharge from empty according to the helpful FAQ on Phillips website). The only thing I don't like about the shaver is the included adjustable length comb (guard). Even all the way extended it is still very short (5mm) and it is cumbersome to use - the head flops around, it only sits flat on a large area of skin thanks to raised edges needed to allow space for the adjustment wheel, and the teeth of the comb are way too long. It is also worth noting that the head/blade will eventually need to be replaced (the Phillips website recommends 4-month intervals, but there is a built-in wear indicator on the blade).
