This Phillips Norelco OneBlade Shaver is a decent electric shaver. I personally prefer to be clean shaven and the OneBlade technology did well for an electric shaver. However, I prefer a really clean shave with no hair remaining. This is very hard to achieve with an electric shaver including this Phillips Norelco OneBlade. I do think that it would be better for cleaning up existing beards/mustaches without completely removing them. The device comes with three different sized comb guards for different beard lengths, a blade case, and a charging cord. I received this shaver in exchange for an honest review. I’m loving it. I use it mostly on my upper body. I maintain a beard most of the year and I’ve been using this to shave the stubble on my next and trim/line up my beard. The fact that it’s very small compared to a traditional shaver makes it super easy to use and maneuver around your face. I’ve also used to during travel and it fits easily into my toiletry bag. The blade seems to last awhile and I have yet to find the need to replace it yet even after around a months use. I’m sure there are electric shavers that can get you a closer shave but the cost to value ratio along with its portability make this one of my favorite grooming devices.

A great value and a great shave.

I bought this specifically for the area under my jaw and chin because my primary electric razor doesn't do the job well enough. This little razor does it remarkably well, providing a smoother shave.I also tried this to trim down my mustache with one of the three included attachments. This got a closer and more consistent shave than my $80 Philips. I will say that it's a bit harder to style and trim around the outside of the mustache, but that's not a deal breaker.Overall, this is well worth the $20 price tag and a must for anyone that frequently shaves. I'd imagine that it works really well on arms, armpits, and legs.

False and Misleading Contents

The package and images say “3X” in bold implying that 3 blades are included. This is common for razor packs. However, what you get is 1 blade and 3 hair combs. It’s a bait and switch kind of marketing scam. The value for this package is NOT 23$. It is infuriating to be taken by such deceptive packaging. It made us so mad that we are not going to use OneBlade any longer. (Tip: It’s cheaper to buy a whole new battery handle that includes multiple blades than it is to buy new blades. It’s a climate and energy waste and it is just a bad look for Norelco Phillips.)

Flimsy design, disposable quality. Disappointing.

This is my third Oneblade razor, but my previous handles were the standard model. Admittedly, I went with this model for the lower price point since I have been getting by with my beard trimmer for some time, and a stupid hangup over the chartreuse accents found on other models. The light weight handle and basic styling is nice. And as a shaver, it gets the job done for my neck, but I don't think this model could replace a beard trimmer due to it's lightweight design. The razor head doesn't stay attached when swapping guards (minor quibble) and even the 'buzz' sound is anemic, like it needs to be charged or is underpowered. The lightweight design could be nice for travel but would likely need the charger, while the standard model can go a week or so without needing to be charged. But the smaller sized power adapter is my biggest grip—it's different from other Oneblades (it seems they have 4 different adapters across their shaver line) and non-standard. Honestly, you'd think the thoughtlessness of these designers would be an embarrassment! Nobody wants yet another adapter to pack for a trip, or cluttering the junk drawer long after the thing stops working, or yet another black cord dangling from the multi-plug outlet in our bathrooms! It's inconsiderate, not to mention unnecessarily wasteful.Message to you, Phillips—design product lines with a universal charger, or just use USB-C if there's no additional benefit like the handy waterproof charger use with your Sonicare line that also serves as a stand. Here's a thought, just use the same Sonicare nub and socket design for the Oneblade handles! Heck, you could even adapt the design with a wider slit across the socket to accommodate a USB-C port for on-the-go charging. Imagine that!
