Sonicare flosser has changed my life for the better! I was using a tabletop version of the Waterpik for several years but I couldn’t get myself to use it daily due to the fact that it was just not convenient for daily use. The Sonicare flosser is so quick and easy to use, it takes less than a minute to have your teeth flossed with no mess. It effectively removed any stuck foods between your teeth and gums. It’s powerful yet gentle so it works wonders. Add this to your daily routine and your dentist will thank you on your next check up appointment.

Plugged the unit in and sat it on my vanity. My vanity is a little small, but it didn’t take up too much space which I loved. Suction caps on the base would help it not move while in use and a smaller power plug would be fantastic, but this could be ideas for the future model. After filling the device with some warm water, I turned it on and gave it a go. The unit is nice and quiet and after finding the pressure setting I was comfortable with and getting into the rhythm of using it, its super easy. You need to keep your mouth over the sink as there is surprisingly a lot of water this little device pumps out quickly and make sure you turn it off before you take it out of your mouth… I did it once and wont again. After using it, my teeth had that ā€œjust been to the dentistā€ feel. They felt super clean and over the course of the week my gums felt less irritated after brushing and my partner commented on my ā€œmuch betterā€ breath. I am genuinely surprised with how effective the device is and how simple it is to use with such great results. There are more nozzle attachments to look at in future for me but for now out of the box its fantastic. If you were someone like me who hated flossing and felt guilty about lying to the dentist (they know anyways) I highly recommend this device. All the things hated about traditional flossing is gone and the Phillips Sonicare range is here to save you and your teeth.

Usage:Having water being shot into my mouth via a high-pressure device was quite confronting initially, but after testing it (directed at the sink) and going from the gentlest pressure to a comfortable pressure, I found the flosser quite easy to use. It does seem to clean my teeth a little better than a manual flosser, since I feel like there's a little more flexibility in how I'm directing the water at my teeth. It also works like an electric toothbrush, where you are prompted after a specific amount of time to change to a different area of the mouth. I think the only pit fall is that the water splashes everywhere. Not too much of a big deal and expected since it is a high pressure stream of water that is being directed at your teeth, and perhaps it's just user error (that I'll figure out as I continue to use the product). Overall:Overall, a useful product as a part of a good dental routine. Along with my electric toothbrush, this oral irrigator is a nice new addition to ensure I don't need any more root canals in the near future... [Rewarded Review] A quiet water flosser!!!
7 November 2021

If you’re looking for a quiet power flosser, look no further! The Philips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 is so quiet, no one knew I was using it, which is absolutely remarkable for anyone that’s ever used a power flosser. If you have one, or even live with someone that does, you know full well how they can sound like a mini diesel truck in the bathroom. It didn’t matter what brand or how much you spent, they were all obnoxiously loud, and it felt really weird that in this day and age of tech, no one made a quiet version. It’s the #1 complaint of all power flossers, and it’s funny to me that Sonicare created one, yet doesn’t even talk about how quiet it is in their marketing. It should be the total focus, because no one else offers anything close to this quiet. Don’t ...Ā MoreIf you’re looking for a quiet power flosser, look no further! Don’t get me wrong, it’s not totally silent, but it’s quieter than a loud bathroom fan, which is a huge upgrade for the category in general. No more being embarrassed of using it when guests are over, or thinking it’s too late and not wanting to wake anyone up. And best of all, it’s compact, the water tank comes with a lid, and it flosses great!Designwise, it’s compact and about the size of 2 beer bottles side by side. It doesn’t take up much counter space at all, so there’s still room on your vanity. The tank is good for about one flossing session, which is all you really need. There’s a dial to adjust water pressure, a button to change between clean and deep clean modes, a pause switch on the flosser handle, and of course a power button on the base. I like how the deep clean mode has 3 distinct pulses that helps you time out when to switch between teeth. It reminds me of the haptic feedback electric toothbrushes give when telling you to move to the next area, which leaves your brain free to ponder whatever else is happening in your life. It also comes with 2 nozzles, a direct and a multi-angled one, to switch between a single strong jet stream that’s great for getting between the gums, or the 4 angled one that’s good for rinsing and essentially pressure washing your teeth.Internal cleaning and maintenance is interesting as it’s more like cleaning a humidifier than having to disassemble and rebuild the handle like other flossers. You simply use a mix of vinegar and water to flush out the system, but I guess only time will tell how thorough this is vs a complete disassembly. However, I do know it’s much easier to do and therefore might actually get cleaned more often. The only one thing I wish this and other power flossers came with is a cap to cover the flosser nozzles when not in use. I keep a cap on all my toothbrushes for sanitary reasons and I don’t see why the same shouldn’t apply here.Overall, the Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 is absolutely remarkable for being the quietest power flosser I’ve ever seen, and by a large margin. No more sounding like a freight train is running through the bathroom! Outside of that, it’s well built and very similar to most other conventional power flossers out there. If you currently have a power flosser, or are in the market for one, I highly, highly, highly recommend the Sonicare Power Flosser 3000. Nothing else comes close to being this quiet, which is a total game changer for the category. Great job Philips!

[Rewarded Review] Best Water Flosser I've Tried

The unit has 2 cleaning modes: normal, with a steady pulse, and deep clean with a rapid, short burst pulse. There's an adjustable knob of the device as well so you can keep the water pressure as light as you like or crank it up.The water flosser wand is attached via cord to the base. On the wand itself, you have a slide toggle to start flossing and an eject button to swap cleaning heads. The toggle on the wand was a nice feature because the cordless one my wife had started spraying as soon as you turned it on, which led to more than a few instances of water blasting all over the place. The first time I used it, I immediately noticed how sensitive my teeth were to the colder, focused temperature of the water flosser and my gums actually bled a bit. Over the past week of using it regularly, the bleeding has all but stopped and I now prefer to use this versus the disposable tooth pick option. I've been using the standard water head and my wife's been using the sensitive one.Needless to say, we threw her older, battery powered one out because we like this more.

[Rewarded Review] Decent when works, warranty support sucks.

This device worked great for a year, then it started leaking out of the bottom, which obviously didn't bode well. Then it stopped working entirely. It has remained stationary on my bathroom counter the entire time I've had it, only moving it to wipe down/clean the counters. I don't travel with it or move it around often.Well, it's supposed to have a two year warranty, so I contacted Philips support hoping to get it resolved - their support staff speaks in circles. They ask if it's "charged" (the device isn't battery powered, so why would it be charged?), they have you go through a series of questions, then ask for pictures of the device. I think the star shaped nozzle is a good idea. When using it, I am not sure it truly has a benefit but it seems it should. I am skeptical that the "deep clean" does anything useful. It just pulses the pump motor - which to me seems less of a deep clean than normal "clean" mode.I like the flow control in the handle, but don't like that you have to start the thing at the base, then turn on the flow control at the handle. Some improvement suggestions for the manufacturer- Please please please consider how you can use USB-C in a future design for the power connector. This should be top of the list quite frankly.- I am tall. The hose could be a foot longer.- All of these devices tend to want to tip over. Why not put some weight in the bottom? This device doesn't need to be portable. Better yet fill the bottom with a heavy rechargable battery! Solves the need for more weight and offers many more placement options for the base.- Please consider that the power connector on the bottom may not be very convenient as others have pointed out.- maybe consider how this could be plumbed instead of a tank. I know I sound crazy but the tanks on these things get gross, are always fiddly to work with, etc. I bet people give up on these things after the "new" wears off because they are tired, and don't want to mess with the tank. All in all, not bad, but this products in this category feel like they need more innovation. Other than the end of the nozzle and the on-off in the handle this is the same thing we had 30-40

The Phillips Sonicare 300 Power Flosser is an excellent product to use as part of your daily dental care. The unit has a small footprint which is important if you do not have a lot of counter space on your bathroom counter. It is electrical powered. The unit has a good size reservoir. There are 2 different cleaning options. Clean and Deep cleaning. The unit has adjustable speeds which is good if you have sensitive teeth. There are 3 nozzle attachments. ( Note: not all versions offer three nozzles) A standard, comfort, and quad stream nozzle. There are different reasons for using the different nozzles. In addition there is a a 'pacer feature' which helps you time your application in a given area. In addition there is a a 'pacer feature' which helps you time your application in a given area. I feel that the clean is very good because I have followed it with traditional floss and noted the fact that the flosser does an outstanding job of cleaning. There is a bit of a learning curve but once you master it you should be very pleased with the results. I do think that Sonicare should have provided an area on the base to store the nozzles that are not in use. The fact that they did not provide a place to mount the nozzles is a head scratcher. The other minor complaint I have is that I wish the cover had a more positive snap close feature to it. Again, these are 2 minor complaints that do not take away from the fact that this water flosser really works. A 2 year product warranty supports the quality of the product.

Philips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000After unpacking and assembling the unit, the next order of business is plugging the unit in and filling the separate reservoir. Choose one of the two included flossing tips, insert it in the flosser and you’re ready to go. Since it comes with two tips, two people can each have their own tip when flossing, since it’s best not to share things like flossing tips. While the unit is physically smaller than some other flossing units, because of the size of the footprint, and the fact that it needs to be plugged in to work, it’s probably better suited for a medium or larger bathroom, rather than a smaller one-sink one with less surface area. When filling the reservoir, which is attached to the base and not to the flossing unit itself, ...Ā MorePhilips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000After unpacking and assembling the unit, the next order of business is plugging the unit in and filling the separate reservoir. Using your mouthwash while flossing can be a time saver since you’re doing double duty (flossing and freshening your breath at the same time). And the size of the reservoir is more than adequate. One you’ve filled your reservoir; you can choose an intensity setting for the flosser from one to 10. Since the unit must be plugged in to operate, and the fact that the flossing unit is attached to the base, your movement is restricted to the length of the cord when in use.Despite the non-portable flossing unit limitation, it does a very nice job of flossing, which is what it’s intended for. However, while I prefer a more flexible rechargeable portable unit with its own reservoir, the final decision on that is entirely up to you.Be sure to register your unit with the manufacturer to ensure you get the 2-year manufacturer warranty.

I got the Phillips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 as I'd heard from a number of people in my circle of friends about how great a water flosser was. I've never been a huge fan of flossing for a number of reasons, chief among them my gums never seemed to "toughen up" leading to sore mouth or bleeding after flossing. I hoped that water flossing would be a solution to my oral hygiene woes. The setup was super easy as its just a base with the flosser hose, a tank that sits on top for the water, and two flosser heads: a standard round opening and the new cross stream head. You plug in the base, adjust the pressure, pick up your flosser (the cord seemed plenty long enough for me and I'm 6'5" with a low bathroom counter), and turn it on. I started with the cross stream as it had a rubber end which I thought would allow me a learning curve at how close was too close. I started at minimum pressure and worked up to about midway before I felt like it was comfortable without being over pressured for my tender gums. I went through most of the tank and was done in just a few minutes. The next day I swapped heads and again worked up from minimum to about mid pressure (I may have gone a little lower since the single larger stream seemed to have a bit more umph). I didn't get sore, I didn't bleed, and while I did make a mess since that water has to go somewhere once your mouth is full (either pause to spit periodically, lean over the sink and dribble, or maybe its something you just evolve a solution for after using for a while). Day three I tried the Pulse Wave mode which pulses the water bursts allowing a brief pause telling you to move from the current tooth to the next. I found that Pulse Wave was a good idea but the pause seemed too brief for me to get moved to the next position accurately before it began spraying again. While only time will tell if it was effective for healthier gums I was mistaken in suspecting it would REPLACE flossing. You still need floss the old fashioned way to remove debris between your teeth but the Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 works great for the gum line plaque and buildup. The box calls out its Whisper Quiet technology too and this is no lie, its almost silent until it runs out of water, which isn't likely to happen before you're done. This is a really solid product and if you wear braces this is a MUST BUY since its so much easier and quicker than dealing with the braces flossers of a traditional string variety.
