I like the stability of the head gear but dislike the way it connects to the mask. It uses a ball and socket to connect the bottom of the head gear to the mask. I also could not figure out how to adjust the length between the forehead and the nose cup. I don't want to break it and the instructions were very lacking. I don't have air leaks even when I leave the bottom straps very loose. I get painful red marks on the side of my cheeks and after I wear it for a few hours I can feel it starting to irritate my skin on the sides and under my nose. It is almost like a chemical burn feeling. I get plenty of air with this mask and the forehead support is very comfortable. I just wish the nose cup didn't hurt me so much. I only tried this mask for one night, after years of using the Respironics TrueBlue Gel Nasal CPAP Mask.Summary: This mask is not nearly as good as the Respironics TrueBlue Gel Nasal CPAP Mask. I went back to my TruBlue after one night. The latches to secure this mask to your face are not nearly as easy to use as the Respironics TrueBlue Gel Nasal CPAP Mask (and other masks as well). You have to get the plastic piece out FURTHER than the mask hook to get it to latch, which I can't describe well in words, but it required two hands every time I put on the mask. The Respironics TrueBlue Gel Nasal CPAP Mask only requires one hand, much easier, and I've never had problems with it.This mask (the ComfortGel Blue Nasal) is made from a less-strong plastic, and it is made ... MoreI only tried this mask for one night, after years of using the Respironics TrueBlue Gel Nasal CPAP Mask.Summary: This mask is not nearly as good as the Respironics TrueBlue Gel Nasal CPAP Mask. I have a large head, so this was not useful for me (perhaps it would be for you, smallhead folks =)The result I noticed most from this adjustable plastic - it makes noise even when I just touch the mask. Just enough to be annoying during the night if/when you move around. This mask is not for me, and I imagine that the 29% of users on cpap.com using this mask would be delighted with the Respironics TrueBlue Gel Nasal CPAP Mask, but I'd love to hear other input. Go give the TrueBlue a try!

Good: reasonably comfortable, conforming nose piece; straps are also comfortable and stay put.Not Good: too-soft flange (what I'm calling the part that is supposed to seal against face) "blows out" with higher (16cm +) pressure unless you crank down the fit so tight that blood circulation to the head is cut off. I suggest a slightly less soft flange, and to make the rigid plastic pieces less rigid so they can conform to individual head/face shapes better. Finally, the catches that you release to take the thing off are horrendous - this has the worst fasteners of any mask I've used.Overall I'm not happy with this, but it's functional, just not comfy or easy. WHY did they discontinue the wonderful Easylife masks????

New comer to CPAP usage. I really like the product, but it leaves red bruising on the sides of my nose and under my eyes. I tried loosening the straps, but still pressure markings, so unfortunately I shall be returning. It also left the bridge of my nose a little bruised. After the bruising cleared up, I tried again having put Vaseline on the areas where bruising occurred, but that didn't help. I have a pillow piece so I guess I will purchase another of those. Really wanted this to work. Scary looking piece, but beautiful technology. I tape my mouth at night to not open and get dry mouth (ahhhh terrible) and this helps helps with keeping my mouth shut.
I used this mask for many years and found it to be very comfortable and high quality! It’s the mask I started on and the one that I used for the first 7 or so years of treatment. The price seems to have dropped recently, so that is a plus! It is an older style mask, and while there are ones that have emerged recently that may be more advanced, this is a good option to have, particularly considering the price. One suggestion I have: if you are using this mask in the long term, be sure to save the plastic swivels that attach the straps to the mask, as they can break or get lost, that way you will have some extras to spare. The mask is pretty much unusable if the break, and waiting on a replacement to ship is certainly less than ideal. As with anything mask-related, proper fit is deeply personal, so it may or may not work for you the same way. All in all a good mask.
I've been using a CPAP for 26 years and I purchased this mask, sight unseen, to replace another mask when its frame broke. I have 2 complaints about this mask after 9 months of use. The black tabs on the bottom of mask that attach to the headgear fall of the mask 50% of the time when I store my mask. When I go to put my mask on I first have to find and re-attach these tabs which is very annoying when all I want to do is sleep. I also have great difficulty getting this mask to form an air tight seal with my face. Therefore, I can't recommend this mask no matter how much the price is lowered. It is just a poor design.
My first mask I got when I got my cpap machine was a Philips Respironics DreamWear Full Face CPAP Mask. This mask would alway leak, lose suction, and I couldn’t sleep on my side with it. I was getting frustrated and not wanting to use my cpap machine. So, when I saw the ComfortGel mask I thought let’s try it, it couldn’t be worse than my current mask and it’s only $33. This mask has worked great for me. I can sleep on my side, and never blows air in my eye or loses suction. I got this mask in late August and has been great so far. In late October I did notice the mask starting leaking and losing suction when I would sleep on my side. November 1st. I replaced the mask with a new ComfortGel and again it’s working perfect. No escaping air or losing suction and the new mask feels more firm and tight. I guess over time the gel loses it’s firmness, but at $33 it’s cheap enough to buy a new mask every couple months. If you buy this mask make sure to print out the template. I’m a big guy, so I assumed I needed the large mask. I cut out the template for the large mask and it was way too big for me. I ended up needing the small mask. Remember this mask only covers your nose and not your mouth.
Ive been using a Cpap for a decade. I have tried more masks than I can remember. At one time, the older version of this mask was great. I have a full goatee or trimmed beard at all times. Always have since using Cpap. This mask originally had a darker blue gel that was soft and fit my face great. Once the lighter, thinner clear/blue gel was added, the mask has to be tight to keep air from leaking. This has caused years of pain. It rubs the area between my nostrils into my mustache bloody raw. I would wake up in so much pain. Its removing skin and causing scabbing. For a couple of years, Ive had to cut a bandaid in half and trim the pad in an upside down T and apply ointment heavily under the bandaid on that area. It helps sometimes. Other nights it doesnt. For a couple of years, Ive had to cut a bandaid in half and trim the pad in an upside down T and apply ointment heavily under the bandaid on that area. It helps sometimes. Other nights it doesnt. I even trimmed my goatee so much it looked almost clean shaved. Made NO difference. I honestly dont know what to do. It keeps me awake leaking or my wife wakes me up while Im snoring badly from an audible air leak. It leaks everywhere. I buy 3 at a time due to the low cost and Ive had the last 3 all break within a month. The forehead piece fails where the head strap slips through from having the strap tight. The same piece also breaks where its made to pivot and the whole piece falls off. Im at my wits end. I guess Ill try and buy one of the $100+ masks in hopes of my upper lip/nose area healing. But I already have a drawer full of useless masks that all cost a LOT. Im amazed that this mask works for so many. But if you dont sleep on your back 100% of the time and want a mask that wont break within 2 weeks, avoid this mask.
