The Philips Respironics DreamWear Fit Pack is a hybrid CPAP mask designed to combine the benefits of a nasal mask and nasal pillows. The innovative design of the DreamWear mask grants users greater freedom of movement and a more comfortable, unencumbered sleeping experience. The secret to DreamWearâs success is its unconventional hybrid nasal/nasal pillows design. The DreamWear remains fixed in position under the patientâs nose like a traditional mask, but the seal with the patientâs airway is more similar to a nasal pillows system. This minimal contact under the nose cushion helps prevent the discomfort, irritation and red marks patients can experience with more conventional CPAP masks. Unlike traditional nasal pillows or nasal masks, the hose tubing doesnât extend from the front of the face. Instead, the pressurized air flows from the nostrils through broad-tubed channels flanking the patientâs cheekbones before turning upward to terminate in the hose junction on top of the head. DreamWear users claim (based on Philips User Preference Questionnaire) the DreamWear improves comfort and fits compared to their previous masks. Philips also touts that DreamWear users experience more freedom of movement throughout the night. Unrestricted by tubes around their neck and face, DreamWear patients can change sleeping positions easier, able to turn from their stomach, side, and back with less worry about getting tangled up.

This is the most comfortable and usable mask I have (I also have Resmed F30i, F20 and N30 for air mini, and the F&P Evora FF). I haven't tried the direct competitor, the Resmed N30i, which has a harder plastic support under the nose - this Philips is all soft flexible silicone.I love the over the head hose. I couldn't do without that now (except for discretion when on a plane). The cushion seals really well for me - only occasionally are some adjustments needed during the night. Being a side side sleeper it tends to shift out of place sometimes. But nowhere near as much as the previous champ, the F30i.It's more quiet than my other masks, much more so than the N30, and the blast of air from the front is not as annoying as the F30i.My 'value-for money' rating is ... MoreThis is the most comfortable and usable mask I have (I also have Resmed F30i, F20 and N30 for air mini, and the F&P Evora FF). They are all similarly priced and all extortionately overpriced IMO. For all masks, a third of the price would be getting close to reasonable I think. But hey, what are you going to do.

Design and shape good, shame the company donât offer a small head cradle as this was really too big for me as a woman, but the noise was not as good as i hoped and was louder than my resmed nasal pillow. I did like the cradle design, which has motivated me to try Resmedâs version which i have to say is better because i can choose a small head size at the point of sale rather than have to buy an additional cradle, plus the sides are softer against my face, and it is easier to adjust and fit. Plus at the moment Resmed will allow you to trial it for free.

I added a short length of thinner more flexible hose.As others have reported, the hose connector can slip out of position in the night, particularly if your head rests on a pillow, I find. I always used to wear a Philips chinstrap. Wearing this over the mask largely prevents the movement of the top hose and although the strap passes over the air channels, it doesn't seem to restrict them.It is an expensive mask but if you have been wearing other nosemasks it is well worth trying I think. With other masks, it seems to be the velcro which seems to wear. With this mask, I don't have to adjust the velcro at all, so I am not sure what the wear points are, if there are any.

I still have issues with slight rainout (I use heated hose). Not sure is Mask is failure point or not. I considered covering for mask but complaints of feeling too warm disuaded me as heated tube already has that effect. My hair is a complete mess when I wake up because of mask. Basically I hate wearing any mask but this style is the most comfortable mask I have warn to-date.
And, easiest to put on and take off. My wife had one and I thought it would put pressure on my nostrils and create a sensitivity there so I only tried them after having difficulties with nasal and full face masks. Any mask that puts pressure across the nose bridge would reduce air flow and, many nights, required me to remove the mask to breath without effort. It seems that the light upward pressure on the nasal cushion is enough to not allow any leaks and, if anything, somehow facilitate the movement of air. I have absolutely no need any longer to remove the mask assembly. Breathing is effortless. Less importantly, obviously, is the ease of putting on and taking off. No clips/magnets!
I've used the nasal pillow system for about 5 years. I was happy with that system as I'm a complete nose breather. I did however find the air tube coming from the front was cumbersome and a little awkward, though I was used to it and could easily sleep with it, as when I would move I was aware enough during sleep to move the pipe in accordance with my movements. I became aware of the DREAMWEAR Nasal system recently, and after reading and watching as many reviews as I could find, I decided to purchase it and give it a try. Having used it now for about a month or so, I am completely delighted with it. The main thing I like is that the hose is completely 'out of my face', literally! That took a little getting used to, but in a good way! It doesn't interfere with my arm ... MoreI've used the nasal pillow system for about 5 years. It doesn't interfere with my arm movement, nor with my head movement. That's a big plus! Also, I like the way the nose piece fit smoothly across the underside of my nose. The previous pillow system sometimes irritated my nostrils. I've had no irritation at all with this system. No air leakage either. The headpiece fitted well (with adjustment of the side straps), and the suppied nose piece was also the right size for me. So, I really like the convenience of this system, and I would certainly recommend it to those who are nose breathers who find thehose-in-front system kind of awkward. The only downside to the system that I can note is - 1. it seems to be a little noisier than the previous system. The air vents are noisier in operation. Not by much, and it certainly does not bother me. But I am left to wonder, just a bit, if one's sleep partner would need to adjust to the tiny bit more noise from this system... I don't think it would be a problem though. 2. I sometimes feel a slightly irritating pressure point on the top of my head where the hose union is located. When this happens I move the headgear around a little which seems to improve the feel. A way to relieve this pressure is to slacken the adjusting straps, but that then allows air pressure to escape around the nose piece... But that said, the irritation hasn't been enough to cause me to seek and affix some padding under the union piece, so it musn't be too bad... All in all, I really like the DREAMWEAR Nasal system. A big improvement on the nasal pillow system!
I need a larger full face mask with the cushion. The âlargeâ isnât big enough and is uncomfortable. I would like to pass that information on. The mask causes me to pucker instead of relax. I am an open mouth breather. I canât get used to the nasal mask, breathing is unnatural and I get stuffed/congestion easily. Please consider making the F20 full face mask one size bigger. And maybe shorten the nose bridge to a flat top not a pointed one. That would keep the mask further away from the eyes and create a cradle over the nose creating a better fit.
I love this mask and I have many positives but there is one thing I wish I could change. The tube coming off the top of my head is a complete game changer! That is the best feature of any mask I have ever tried. The hybrid design is also great as I can see clearly as my vision is not blocked however my one thing I wish I could change is the nasal pillow. Right now it just rests below my nose which has occasionally leaked or blocked my nose. If there were like prongs or nasal cannula to keep it positioned correctly this mask would completely rule everything for sure. I will add I toss and turn and sleep on my stomach and side so I put my poor mask through a lot.
I wanted to follow up on my previous review as things have improved. Firstly, Phillips support explained that the mask is specifically designed so that air will always get through even if sleeping on one side. So whilst that will flatten the mask and restrict air flow on one side, air will still flow via the other side. Having tried again for longer I see how this works. Secondly, if you canât get on with the new style nose pillow, there is still the option of the type which has two ânostrilsâ which go a little up your own nostrils. For me this works much better than the newer nose pillow which just has one âslitâ. I couldnât see how to update my previous review and so hopefully this can be linked as I wanted to put the record straight.
Did a lot of research for choosing face mask for husband and decided to use Dreamwear nasal cushion. He had absolutely no issues with it from the very beginning and was immediately sleeping through the night and no longer waking me up as he tossed and turned and got our and in bed through the night. After my sleep study revealed that I, too, suffered serious drops in oxygen while sleeping, I chose the Respironics Dream Machine and the nasal cushion face mask. I had no idea how badly I was sleeping until I started using the CPAP machine and this incredibly well-designed mask. I thank God for the people who designed such a wonderful piece of equipment which allows me and my husband to sleep so well as we have aged. The air hose connection from the top of the head is practically a non-existent part of the whole operation. My body never comes in contact with it when I occasionally turn to a new position.I recommend Respironics Dreammachibe and headgear 100%. I also got the full face mask when my basal passages were blocked and it, too, proved to be very comfortable.
