I purchased this unit last January. It has never cut hair I reverted back to my older devices to get the job done. I thought with time I would be able to find a solution but I believe it is a dud. The older 2000 series I picked up years ago works great but is getting old I thought this 3000 series model would be a good replacement when the old one dies. I have since purchased another brand from a local retailer and its working as expected. As for the 2 year warranty I think for the money spent its not worth effort sending back, other web reviews make me think that it may not be a product I want to put anymore time into it.

It also came with a rotary trimmer along with the normal cutting element. There were instructions on how to trim your eyebrows and it cuts them very well. I used the long eyebrow attachment to easily get rid of the longer hair and make my eyebrows more manageable with a smooth clean cut. I then used the normal cutting element inside each nostril and it made quick work of any long hairs. I also used it to trim any hair around and inside my ears. I changed over to the rotary trimmer the next time for my nostril hair and it did a great job also. After each use, I clean the attachments under hot water and sometimes used the cleaning brush that is included. My trimmer was the NT3610 which came with a pouch that has a string that tightens, so you can keep all your attachments together. It is a nice thing to have to have it all together for when you travel. The lithium battery that was provided in the package should last for a long time. All in all, it was quieter and easier to use than my old trimmer. I would recommend it.
Got this to replace the Wahl nosetrimmer I'd been using for a while. Was excited to try this because it seemed a lot higher quality. While the construction and material are good, the actual nose trimming ability is awful. Brand new, straight out of the box first use and it pulled my nose hair so bad I had to stop. Don't waste your money on this product. Buy the Wahl at the same pricepoint instead.

Had the same brand for 10 years which still worked but the connections for the battery corroded over the years of getting wet. Decided stick to the same brand and type, this is updated since my last one. It's very quiet and when cutting at first I thought it wasn't working. But it was and well, can't feel anything, maybe with fresh blades vs the old clunker! Easy to remove the top to clean it. I expect this will last a while like the last one. Really, for the price, it's a great buy. Small and easy to grab and do maintenance on the schnoz with.

In a couple of weeks of usage there was certainly no sign of the battery running down. Unlike on some other small devices like this, I found no rough or sharp edges that sometimes result from shoddy manufacturing or poor quality control. Overall the trimmer seems solidly built and give the impression that it should last for several years. A small pouch to keep all the parts together was included, which is a nice touch.
It was fine before! Did the job well and then someone over there thought they needed to justify their job and came up with an “update”. A “fresher” version. Whatever. It now not only doesn’t do what it did so easily before, it doesn’t do anything. Why? Why did it need to change? Just leave it alone and work on a dentist drill that doesn’t make that high pitched whiny sound.
I've been using the older version of this product (NT3160/10) for a few years and absolutely love it. It cuts close to the skin without pulling hair. This newer version has ended up pulling hair and left me with a sore nose. The guard also prevents hair from actually getting cut, I have to run it over the area multiple times. With the previous model, the large eyebrow attachment gave me perfect result. With this version, I have to use the smaller attachment and even then it doesn't do much unless I spend a few minutes rubbing the trimmer head on my eyebrows. Don't understand why Philips felt the need to 'fix' something that wasn't broken... Please consider bringing the older version back. Also not sure why you'd want two trimmers in opposite directions.
