A Power Flosser perfect for travel

The Sonicare Cordless Power Flosser is exactly what I needed for travel! As I use a Phillips water flosser at home, I really miss that great clean feeling when on the road, and this one is all it says it is. Simple to use, great battery life before recharge, a full minute of power flossing, easy to fill, and it packs up neatly to be taken anywhere. It took me a couple of goes to get used to which button does what, but it's an easy machine to operate, and does the job admirably. This baby's going with me everywhere now! Highly recommended.

My original Philips AirFloss was brilliant and kept going for many years up until recently, unfortunately when I tried to replace it I found it was no longer available so purchased this Philips Sonicare. This is absolutely useless, the original AirFloss had a pressurised jet of water that could be directed between each tooth, this thing issues a constant flow of bubbles which do absolutely nothing other than make an enormous mess if you should inadvertently open your mouth while your fingers on the button. this Philips Sonicare is not fit for purpose and I would advise anyone thinking of buying one not to bother, save your money. I wouldn't have left 1 Star but the review insists, the rating is not published without.

Very disappointed, only instructions provided are a little picture diagram that is difficult to see and follow. Got very wet trying to use it, quite bulky to hold. Its very easy to hit the on button when assembling which soaked the room not just me.Tried to get instructions by phoning customer service they just suggested using an on line video and told me instructions are not on the list of what is included!!! An online video is not practical when dealing with water going everywhere and also doesn't fully explain how to use it and maintain it. First person I spoke to was trying to tell me to wet the brush!!!!Our biggest disappointment is that John Lewis phone customer support is not what it used to be. Its putting us off further purchases.

Electrical problems twice now
18 March 2024

In December 2023, I was sent a replacement power flosser 3000 for the same product I purchased a few months earlier. This replacement was issued because my original flosser (two months old) charge cord got stuck and broke off inside the flosser.Last night when I went to use the Powerflosser I smelled a burning smell and pulled the charge cord out from the charger. When I did this I noticed the end of the charger was very hot and the inside of the charge port looked slightly brown. As soon as I touched the hot end of the charge cord the plastic melted on my fingers and can no longer be inserted into the port. I’m not sure if melted plastic is also inside the port.Today I spoke with a representative via chat and was told in approximately 10 days someone will ... MoreIn December 2023, I was sent a replacement power flosser 3000 for the same product I purchased a few months earlier. Meanwhile I'm out a flosser that Ive only had for three months. As a note, I also have a Phillips toothbrush plugged in to the same outlet so it's not an electrical problem on my end.

Great device that clean teeth and gum and the gaps
24 August 2023

I find it powerful that the water jet burst away any food that left between teeth, was handy to use thanks to the built-in battery and popular usb c charge port. Clean and functional design. It is also easy to pack away in a carry bag, telling you that it’s always ready to go out with you. But unfortunately even before it get the chance to travel with me, it has gone malfunction after 2 months of use. The cause was likely that water gets in and corroded the circuit board. Good news is, I contacted Philips warranty and within a week a new one arrived at the door. Bad news is, I start to suspect that there is a design/manufacturing issue that my other one might be dead within 2-3 months. Opened up to find out why. Good news is, I contacted Philips warranty and within a week a new one arrived at the door. Bad news is, I start to suspect that there is a design/manufacturing issue that my other one might be dead within 2-3 months. Opened up to find out why. Start from the bottom of the device body, gulp of water dashed out, lower part of the circuit board see heavy oxidation and corrosion, there was sign of water accumulating at the bottom part of the body. Back of buttons were sealed properly, no risk of water ingress, back of USB C port sealed properly, no risk of water ingress, bottom cover has a rubber ring, no sign of water ingress either. The only part without a seal ring seems to be the top part of the body, where the nozzle connects with the body. Water might get in from there during use and accumulate. But all these is only a rough guess through observation.I hope they have updated the design and it would last longer. For now, I would either hang it upside down or sit it side way with button facing up after each use.

Not as powerful as claimed
15 June 2023

Firstly the website experience and delivery of the product from David Joes was great!!! (5 stars) however the product was very poor. Why I gave 2 stars is the quality of the product. I had previously purchased a cheaper flosser which was so great, that I wanted to buy the best one I could find. Based on price and write up, this one came up on top. However the product is rather poor and very dissapointing.1. Build quality - It feels cheap.2. Attachments - The product promoted a special type of nozzle, which is very ineffective3. Clean ability - It simple is just not very strong and has me using my older cheaper one for an effective clean.I would recommend purchasing from David Jones, I just do not recommend this product.

Not fit for purpose

I have had three of these in just over four months and all failed with the same or very similar problem. That is, they lost power resulting in weak and ineffective flossing. Two were replaced and the last one resulted in a refund.I timed how long it took to empty the water reservoir on the last one. It was over six minutes and even then there was water left in the reservoir. I attach photos of this. This compares with well under two minutes to completely empty the reservoir when the flosser was initially used. No-one expects to spend that long flossing their teeth and then to find it has little effect. The flossers were all fully charged when the fault became evident so it's nothing to do with state of charge in the battery. I do not believe that an item designed to floss teeth can be classed as fit for purpose when it has no power in the water jet and takes too long to use the water supply in the reservoir.I previously left two reviews saying more or less what I'm saying here but JL wouldn't publish them. The only reason I believe that prevented them being see by potential buyers is that I mentioned another company in the review and JL won't publish if you do that.If you are thinking of buying this flosser, please read some of the other reviews. You will see a number saying something similar to my own experience.

This was a replacement for a prior model. The experience is totally different ,time will tell if this model lasts longer than the other. It uses a lot of water and the first few tries there was a lot of learning and frankly water everywhere. Happy that this does remove debris from between teeth, unsure if it helps the gums. There is quite a force and this might make it unsuitable for childrenThe deep clean does feel like it's helping the surface of the tooth. If teeth are sensitive avoid really cold water when fillingEasy to set up and replace the 2 different heads

Rubbish, stopped working after 3 weeks of use.
20 August 2024

I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of this water flosser. It didn't even last a month before it stopped working intermittently while using it. The power was underwhelming from the start, and it gradually weakened until it would only run for a few seconds before shutting off. The concept behind this product is fantastic and a much better alternative to traditional flossing. I hope Philips addresses these issues and makes the product more durable before releasing the next generation to the market. I am hooked on the idea of water flossing now, but at this price, it needs to work!

Useless RUBBISH
22 August 2024

I previously had a Philips Airflosser and that was fantastic. I bought this flosser last year and apart from trying to use it for over a month it sits in the cupboard unused. With the airflosserr if you were about to go out and wanted to check your teeth that was easy, you did not get water running down your freshly made-up face. It might be OK for guys but it is damp and sprays water and it doesn't clean nearly as well as the previous model. Why, oh why did Philips stop making the previous model. It was, compact, neat and did the job beautifully. With this one you still haves to use something else to remove debris from your teeth. I am afraid it is RUBBISH. It cost £100 for something that does not work. I have heard of people who use in it in the shower and I can ... MoreI previously had a Philips Airflosser and that was fantastic.
