I have to admit that regular flossing is not easy to do and I never found it to be particularly pleasant. The floss would get so tight on my fingers, it would hurt; It was not easy to get my back teeth; My least favorite part was getting the floss off my fingers to throw it away. Yuck.I am not being critical just to be negative. Oral hygiene in and of itself is positive because of its many benefits. Flossing is very important and we should do it no matter what method we have available to us. However, in order to point out the pleasantry, ease, results, and process of the Cordless Power Flosser 3000, I wanted to make a comparison that perhaps you could relate to. Just think….No more floss-squeezed fingers, no more looking like a clown trying to reach back teeth; no more icky used floss that takes effort to get off your fingers. All of that said, I have only great things to say about this product. I wish I had this one earlier in life to share with more of my family and friends. If you would like, adding just a splash of mouthwash can make the flossing process even more refreshing and pleasant. That feeling of water gently washing over your teeth and then leaving a super clean mouth with a fresh taste is a bonus! I love how it feels! It is also nice looking to put on your bathroom countertop. It’s neat, clean, and has simple elegance, a nice bright white, straight apparatus that is actually inviting! Did you ever think that brushing your teeth would be this much fun?! I was so pleasantly surprised. My mouth is much cleaner and fresher now. I can’t wait to go back to the Dentist and let her know that I found the best flosser. This is technology that literally will make you smile! ;-)

I just got the Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 by Philips. I love that it is cordless because I can use it at my sink or in the shower. It also has a larger reservoir tank holding 8.4 ounces which is enough for one cleaning. This flosser uses a new technique by creating an X-shaped stream of water that actually delivers four streams of water to clean a larger area of my teeth and gums. It thoroughly cleaned my teeth and my mouth felt so clean afterwards. The stream was also gentle but yet highly effective and got in between my teeth. The design of the unit was great and it made no mess as I bent over the sink. This product offers a few settings. The base of the flosser includes two push buttons. It also has a timed intermittent pause to help guide you to each tooth in a timely manner. There is also an LED light to indicate how much battery is left. I highly recommend this product for all as it will help to remove 99% of plaque to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

This is my first time trying a home flosser of any kind. My dentist always seemed to be skeptical about using home flossers other than the traditional string flosser. As much as I tried to make string flossing a habit, that is one habit I could never get going. But this portable power flosser has me flossing every single day! Thanks, Sonicare! My first impression of the flosser out the box was that it was too large to hold in the hand and use it to floss. The device seemed to be too big and my palms are not that big. I figured I might have to do some twisting and gymnastics and gyrations to use the flosser. To my surprise, after the first day or two, I figured out the right way to hold and use the flosser and it does not feel big at all. I figured I might have to do some twisting and gymnastics and gyrations to use the flosser. To my surprise, after the first day or two, I figured out the right way to hold and use the flosser and it does not feel big at all. I think it is just the right size. It just takes a little bit of experimentation to get a feel for it and use it right.Setting up the flosser is simple and straight forward. Charging the flosser with the built-in USB-C port is a breeze. I have two different Norelco/Phillips shavers, and a Sonicare tooth brush. This is the fourth product from Phillips that has to fight for space on the sink counter. I wish all other products make the switch to USB-C charging and make it easy for me. I can get rid of all the different chargers on the bathroom counter and just keep the single USB-C charger. Before installing the nozzle, be sure to read the installation instructions. It needs to be flush and I am glad I read the manual first. It is easy to get this wrong as the nozzle does not auto glide fully into its slot. It takes a bit of twisting/turning and pressing and holding the button down to get it right and click into place. Atleast it did for me.Connecting the water tank is a simple connect and twist to lock it into place. I prefer filling the water tank before I connect to the top. Although there is a side tab to open and fill, I find the detach and fill process much more convenient.Be warned that using the flosser the first time could end up in a mess, especially if you have never used a water flosser. That was my result the first time. In retrospect, I should have tested it outside the mouth first before I put the flosser into my mouth. I started out with holding all the water in my mouth, pausing the flosser every so often and spitting out the water. This did not work out well and it was a mess with my mouth full with water and me forgetting to turn off the flosser before I took it out of my mouth so that I could spit out the water. Too many items to address and it just did not work out well.I now lean and bend over the sink and drool out the water in a continuous flow as I work the flosser around the mouth. One trick that worked for me was to point the flosser spray away from the power button which let me control the spray and device if things start to get messy. Similarly, the first time around, I had no sense for the power of the spray and so I ended up with water all over the mirror and the sink counter top. Keeping my mouth closed and pointing the spray in the correct direction helped! This is all the more important when cleaning the front teeth. Took a few iterations before I got it right. Now, it has become a lot more automatic and does not result in the mess I used to have.I have plenty of crooked teeth. Over the years, the dentist was my frenemy....needed but not the most pleasant experience. I had periodantal disease for the longest time and switching to the Sonicare electric toothbrush fixed the dental bleeding for the most part. I still have to deal with plaque buildup and also protect the receding gum line. Thanks to the Sonicare Power Flosser, I think I have a good handle on keeping the gums healthy and the teeth free of plaque, atleast a large amount of it. I can feel the difference before and after. Although not as good as a dental visit, it feels quite close to it and that is good for me.I started with the standard jet spray nozzle and this worked well for me. The purple quad stream nozzle did not quite feel right. I did not seem to have the same water pressure (at the same setting) and I went back to the standard jet nozzle. For now, I use it at the lowest intensity and that seems to do the job for me. I may try the quad stream nozzle at a higher intensity and see if that works better. For my needs, I end up using two full water tanks to get the job done as I work my way around my crooked teeth. It is easy to twist and detach and fill the tank rather than flip open the side flap to fill the tank. On a full charge, the battery lasts atleast two week for my usage. I would think that it will last longer for others that do not have my complicated crooked teeth. There are some areas that could be improved. The battery power indicator is a simple green led which stays steady (full power), or blinks (medium power) or changes color (low power). It may be my experience with the Norelco razors or the Sonicare tooth brush but I would rather prefer the traditional visual numerical indicator of power level. I wash the tank and the nozzle with water every night, pat it dry and then air dry it overnight. Similar to the Sonicare toothbrush, I would love to see a cover for the nozzle. I am not sold on the power button location and I confuse it often with the other buttons. Perhaps, this could be improved. While I initially thought that the flosser was large and difficult to hold, I do not think so anymore. Suprisingly, it is not at all slippery despite the lack of any grip features. The water tank holds adequate water for most uses. I do question its ability to travel with me given its size. These are small improvements to make the flosser better.Overall, this is an accomplished flosser that is deceivingly large but performs well!

Effective, Comfortable

The Phillips Sonicare Power Flosser 3000 Cordless is a very effective easy to use flosser. It is small enough to fit in your hand comfortably, yet it holds an adequate amount of water once you become proficient using it. It comes with 2 flossing heads. One has a single flow of water and one is a quad head which has 4 jets of water covering a wider area of your teeth. I prefer the single flow head which was easier for me to direct to a specific area. Also included is a wall adapter and a USB A to USB C cable. It is easy to use and holds a charge for 2 weeks. Filling the tank with water is easy and can be accomplished by either opening a valve or by removing the tank. The overall design is very good, however I have had one issue. Sometimes hitting myself in the face or spraying around the bathroom.I also wish that a travel case was included.

Excellent clean teeth long battery life

New Way To Floss!I have used a few different versions of oral, water flosser systems in my life and I've never had such great results with so little effort, than I've had with the Sonicare Flosser. This flosser is portable. It is chargeable so, are no wires attached and no clunky water reservoir taking up precious counter space. I've gotten well beyond 2 weeks of use on one full charge, using it 2 cycles a day. This unit is completely waterproof and to say that this is a "game changer" is a massive understatement. I have always found water flossers to be a bit messy. I've accidentally sprayed my mirror and walls many times so, when the instructions mentioned using this flosser in the shower, I was equally in awe of this brilliant tip, as I was shocked that no one had thought of this before! I've been using my flosser in my shower ever since. I fill it straight from the shower steam and floss with abandon letting water run down my arms and no fears of rogue sprays flying everywhere. The clean I achieve with this flosser is unmatched. The soft tipped attachment is my favorite because it is made to press against your gum line, without sensitivity. I also feel that I'm better able to direct my stream when pushing the nozzle on my actual teeth and gums. Another big plus of using this in the shower, is that I enjoy using warm water in my flosser, to assure that I don't suffer any sensitivity. Since in the shower, I don't have to run my sink and wait for it to go warm. The level of clean I can reach with this flosser is truly unmatched. The quad pacer lets me know how long I have in each quadrant of my teeth, before I need to move on to the next. This also helps me gage me water level as I know can make 1 pass, in each quadrant, before I start running out of water. My teeth feel smooth and dentist level clean after flossing. I admit, I'm a bit of a clean freak so, I do run 2 full cycles no matter what. I like to make sure that I don't miss a spot or 2. Although, I'm very pleased with just one cycle

Great for good dental hygiene

Flossing is an important part of good oral hygiene. It helps to remove plaque and bacteria from between your teeth. Flossing can also help to keep your gums healthy. Unfortunately, I've always been terrible about this dental hygiene task. Brushing has never been a problem. I just can't get in the habit of adding in flossing. My dentist recommended that I try to use a water flosser so this cordless power flosser from Sonicare seemed like a good option for me.The assembly of the flosser was minimal. The main body was already put together and all I had to do was add the nozzle that I wanted to use, charge it, and fill the reservoir with water. The flosser comes with an illustrated quick start guide which was really helpful to me as I tried to figure out the best placement for the nozzles on my teeth.I filled the reservoir with water and hit the on button. Water shot out and I felt that it cleaned between my teeth pretty well. I'm not sure if it did as good of a job as standard floss, but it was definitely better than not doing anything at all. The flosser is easy to use but I wish it had a little more power behind it. Flossing is an important part of good oral hygiene. It helps to remove plaque and bacteria from between your teeth. I've tried several cordless water flossers and haven't been happy. The last one was too powerful even on the low setting and would cut my gums. This Philips flosser has three settings. I used the lowest and it removed all tiny pieces of food even after brushing with my Philips Sonicare. It's comfortable to hold while using it and not messy. There is a pause every 15 seconds to let you know it's time to move to another quadrant. The charge will last through 25 one minute flossings. Your mouth will feel so clean. It's got a big base, but because of this it holds plenty of water to hit between all teeth. I wouldn't travel with this since its so huge though. Easy to fill and empty. Quick charging too. Best cordless water flosser I've ever used.My husbands thoughts ... MoreI've tried several cordless water flossers and haven't been happy. Quick charging too. Best cordless water flosser I've ever used.My husbands thoughts are Flossing has always been a bit of a challenge for me - not remembering to do it, but reaching hard spots. This water flosser makes it simple and somewhat fun to floss all the hard to reach areas. Combined with an electric toothbrush, you're good. It does a very good job cleaning. Be sure to be gentle at first: start it on your tongue or on a molar as the initial pressure may cause your gums to bleed if you have been remiss in flossing for a while. That's gum disease, just keep at it *gently* and it will go away. USB-C charging! That means that in a pinch, I could charge it from my laptop or even my phone while travelling. So far I haven't needed to do this, as the battery lasts for a good week at least. I find the water reservoir a little small (probably because I enjoy flossing and go longer than indicated by the pulse timer) but it takes literally 3 seconds to refill. Not a big deal. Cleaning is extremely simple. *Note* when installing the nozzle that goes into your mouth: the diagrams warm that you need two clicks. It needs to sit flush with the gear-shaped collar at the top of the base. It's not clear that to get the second click, you may need to rotate the nozzle until you find the "flat spot". The nozzle connector is not round, but has a flat put to keep it at the angle you set it to (by rotating the gear-shaped collar). This isn't a problem, but once you purchase it, it may save you an initial minutes of confusion.

This flosser is a great alternative to traditional, manual flossing, and frankly it makes a much better job of it than I ever could. Each floss leaves me with the same kind of deeply cleaned feeling that I get after a visit to the dental hygienist. It is easy to assemble and ready to use almost immediately. The transparent water tank is useful because you can see at a glance when it requires refilling. It recharges in next to no time. The flosser itself is quite lightweight and more portable than I thought it was going to be. I tend to travel quite a lot and so I am grateful for the travel bag that comes with it. I did find it takes a bit of getting used to and the water went everywhere to start with, but I soon got the hang of it. I would recommend using the lower of the two settings for this very reason, and until you become familiar with it. However, I am now using the Quad-Stream higher setting technology and loving it. I will never go back to manual flossing after using this product. Beyond thrilled with it.

I will start this review by saying that I have very sensitive gums as well as cold and hot sensitivity on my teeth. So, this review is mainly for people who may be suffering from these same symptoms and what they can expect from this device.Out of the box you can tell it is a very quality product, I would expect nothing less from Sonicare. The build quality is great, using very thick plastics to give it a solid feel in your hand. The controls are also very easy to operate, and as always, Sonicare uses very minimal controls to make it easy for everyone to use.Its very easy to pop on the desired tip (it comes with 2 different ones included) and its also very easy to refill the bottle. The controls are also very easy to operate, and as always, Sonicare uses very minimal controls to make it easy for everyone to use.Its very easy to pop on the desired tip (it comes with 2 different ones included) and its also very easy to refill the bottle. You can either unscrew the top or there is also a little latch on the bottle that you can open and refill it without taking the top off. Here comes the first problems I had with the device. I wish there was some kind of lock feature so that even if you press the power button the unit won’t turn on. Often times when I was filling it, I would accidentally hit the power on button and it would start spraying water all over the place. You have to be very careful when handling or unscrewing the top or this will happen. Once I got that figured out there really is only one other control and that’s to set the pressure, I guess you’d call it. There are 3 different levels that you push one button for and it cycles through them. The level is indicated by 1, 2, or 3 lights. As stated, before I have sensitive teeth with cold/hot sensitivity. I also have a hard time flossing the regular way because my gums bleed very easily. That’s why I thought this would be a great alternative to traditional flossing.I found it very hard to get a water temperature that didn’t bother my teeth. Either too cold, or too hot and it was very hard to get it just right. Once I was able to get the right temperature, I found that the device worked well at getting things out from around my gums and in between my teeth. If you have sensitive spots on your teeth, be prepared to experience a little pain though when you spray them. I had to use the lowest setting, because at the higher ones it was a little painful to use.One other thing to be aware of is that this thing is continually spraying water in your mouth for a minute so you have to simultaneously spit out the water while using the device. It does pulse every 15 seconds to let you know to switch to a different quadrant of your mouth. I think it would have been better to have it go for 15 seconds then stop to allow you to spit out the water, then push the start button again to continue to the next quadrant. That way all that water wouldn’t be building up in your mouth. So, just be prepared that its going to make a mess when you are using it and you’ll have to be bent over the sink to avoid getting water everywhere. You pretty much get 1 use out of 1 tank full of water so you’ll have to fill it each time you want to use it.The device itself is also pretty large and won’t fit in most cabinets or drawers easily. So be prepared to have it sitting out on your countertop. With the spray head on, it is 12 inches tall.Overall, it’s a great concept and is very effective at spraying things out from in between your teeth and around your gums. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a lot of sensitivity though. If you can deal with a little water splashing around it would be a great option for you.
