I am very disappointed with this product. The first time I opened this cream and applied it, I immediately noticed a very unpleasant odour. I believe that is cream is expired and it has gone bad. It smells rancid. I have used Philosophy skincare for years and I was pleased with their products. Unfortunately, this is the second Philosophy moisturizer I have purchased in the past year that was expired. This skincare brand is expensive, so I find this unacceptable. I am wondering if Philosophy has changed their formulas in an attempt to remove undesirable ingredients, like preservatives. I am happy to use clean skincare, but if the products go bad rapidly, then it is a waste of money. Creamy and hydrating

My favorite thing about this cream it it doesn’t contain anything but moisturizers. I have very sensitive skin and can’t use face creams with sunscreen, AHA, retinol, etc. Discovering this product was a positive experience. It’s a bit on the too creamy side and I have to watch how much I apply. The cream feels nice on my face and keeps it hydrated all day. The only other downside is because it’s a cream, it should come with an applicator to avoid contaminating the product with fingers. I use a demitasse spoon to retrieve the cream.

Great Moisturizer for Normal to Oily Skin

This is great moisturizer. It is light, non-greasy, and free of harmful fragrance. It has never caused me to breakout or create any irritation. I can feel good about using this on my face daily. I also like that this is in a glass jar. It minimizes plastic waste and makes the product seem higher quality.The only negative aspect is that it is not great for extra dry skin. I have combination skin in which the area around my nose is VERY oily, but my forehead is so dry that it sometimes flakes. This moisturizer works perfectly for my oily skin. It keeps it balanced and refreshed without feeling heavy or sticky. For my forehead, however, it does does not moisturize it enough. Great for sunburned or sensitive skin

I have sensitive skin and that is irritated by most sunblocks, so that on top of a little sunburn means most moisturizers burn and irritate my skin even further after a day at the beach. Since I live in FL this happens often. I received a sample of this and it was perfect to slather on before bed to sooth wind chapped or sunburned skin. It would be too heavy for normal use in the humidity of FL plus I usually do treatments at night, but for a recovery moisturizer this is good. So keep it on hand for those events when your skin needs LOTS of moisture, some TLC, and nothing with acids or brighteners after a day outside, or after a peel or a laser session.

I'm a fan!

So I bought this with the help of a sales associate over a humid weekend. I was looking for a product to help with the redness on my face. It instantly relived the irritation on my cheeks when I tried a sample. After reading the ingredients and the benefits, I thought I'd try a few eczema spots on my arms. Game changer, folks! The inflammation and redness significantly decreased in two days! Still can't believe it. Jury is still out for the face. PS - a little goes a long way!

Love love

I tried a sample of this product and absolutely loved it. I went right back to the site and ordered the full size. I have very sensitive skin and I love that this product has no artificial perfume smells. Leaves my skin feeling So Soft with no greasy residue. I highly recommend this product. I am 56 years old. This is my honest opinion regardless of points. I was a faithful Estee Lauder client for years. Not anymore.

Mixed Feelings: Under Construction

My three step is this moisturizer. I was hesitate to try, because this brand has broke me out badly in the past. Luckily, it's not an ex, so I decided to try it out again.I was skeptical on this product: I feared big white heads and greasy skin. My skin is super acne prone and sensitive.To my astonishment it did wonders for me. Within 2 days my skin was way smoother. Less flakes. On both of my chin sides have been massively dry: I don't drink enough water and must have gotten sunburned for it to flake so bad.I've been using this product for 4-5 days and my skin is so much smoother. It glows too. Only down side is it doesn't got well with Fenty Hydrating Foundation (which ulta doesn't carry, but that isn't important). Moisturizes but takes forever to absorb

I was so ready to give up on Philosophy (again). I placed an order for this in the summer which was never fulfilled. I tried again in the fall and got 2/3 of my order. Oy. This moisturizer - I've been using for a week and it has helped my skin. It doesn't absorb quickly which is SUPER annoying but it has worked to make my skin feel soft. I usually have very dry skin and most moisturizers only keep away the itch for a few hours. But this one, over a serum, works all day to keep away the itch.The cust svc issues are HUGE- probably why I have been a customer on & off since the 90s. I just can't seem to commit to you ppl.

Nourishment for dry skin.

I love this product. I have dry skin and this product works well for me. My skin feels so soft and hydrated. I used the philosophy renewed skin care line for years and loved it until it was discontinued. A lot of the new and improved product don’t give me the moisture I need but this one works. I hope they don’t change it.

Warning: this product has fragrance

This is not a fragrance-free product. It has fragrance / perfume / parfum added. This is a chemical additive that is not from nature. It's likely that the people reporting reactions to this product are sensitive to whatever chemical fragrance Philosophy put in this. This is not an all natural product with transparency on all ingredients. "Nature in a jar" -- not. "Clean beauty" -- not.
