Pikmin is an old favorite for me. The second title is a relaxed game with enjoyable gameplay at your own pace, and the first is reasonably just as relaxed and enjoyable albeit with an in-game time limit as a mechanic in the gameplay itself. I knew what I was buying already as I've played both titles before. It arrived safely, within a reasonable timeframe of purchase and functioning, sealed in a new case as advertised.

Pikmin 1 and 2 are both incredibly easy games to get into, with charming graphical style from the backgrounds to the character designs. I really fell in love with all of the little Pikmin variants, and just watching them follow my little guy around was really really sweet; it's definitely the kind of game that's accessible enough for any age range to enjoy it, hence why I'd recommend it as both a gift to adults and younger children interested in Switch Games. Also, for a port of an older title (or two titles), it runs remarkably well, so that's a tremendous plus for those that are conscious of game preservation when it comes to Nintendo's older work. Overall just a really solid set of games and an excellent introduction into an iconic franchise that I'm glad has ... MorePikmin 1 and 2 are both incredibly easy games to get into, with charming graphical style from the backgrounds to the character designs. These 2 Pikmin games are incredible and this package is the best way to play them. With improved graphics, glitch fixes, and now the option to play on the go thanks to the Switch. It is important to note for a repeat buyer that there is no new content added, so you may not want to double dip it you already have access to the originals. But if you have never played the original games before, they are great and well worth the price. Great for kids and adults alike. Offers an incredibly unique experience compared to any other game out there!

If you happen to have GameCube originals, don't bother getting them. I don’t know what it is that makes less enjoyable that the GameCube version. However, as for the games themselves, they are enjoyable. It could be my nostalgia tinted glasses making me to prefer the older versions. As for someone who never played any Pikmin games, this is a great entry point.
As games they're one of the best ingenious and fantastic charming set of games. On the quality of the games this is a 5 star review. However as a port, it leaves a lot to be desired, it's a simple port of game cube games and it shows. While I was not expecting something of the quality of Metroid prime remaster, I did expect more for what are two of the best first party games Nintendo has ever released. Upgraded graphics, a museum mode, some concept art, even a music player as in ssbu would have been greatly appreciated. However, even then, these are so much fun to play.
Who can't not love this title? Been an avid fan ever since they released on the WII. 2 player support which was abandoned in Pikmin4 ( shooting enemies only in my opinion is not 2 player capable in Pikmin4). You can spend hours and hours enjoying this game. Family fun and easy going title. Now being on the switch, you can take it with you.
One of the greatest series of all time, developed by Shigeri Miyamoto who invented Zelda, Mario and countless other franchises. This game comes in a neat package with the 1st two iterations of Pikmin that initially came out on the GameCube, decades ago. I was surprised when the Nintendo Switch made separate tiles for both games on the home screen. That's a unique thing I've never seen before. The battle mode in Pikmin 2 is with the price of admission alone. You won't be disappointed. Pikmin 4 won simulation game of the year, in 2023. Must have have for the switch!
Good games. These ports of the GameCube originals have minimal upgrades and therefore seem a bit lazy on Nintendo’s part. Especially considering the price. That said, both games perform well when I played them. The C-stick functionality for swarming Pikmin now requires a button press in addition to right stick movement, since the right stick now defaults to controlling the camera. Pikmin 2 is a game where it’s common to reset a stage if it goes poorly, and the most efficient way to do that if by going to the home menu and restarting the game. Some additional quality of life improvements would have been appreciated, such as making the Pikmin sort themselves correctly when throwing or dismissing them. Overall though, I’m happy with my purchase.
These are 2 classic GameCube games finally available on switch. Pikmin 1 is great and easy to understand. Pikmin is not for me. There's some things I won't go into detail about on here, but there's too much I'm not a fan of with pikmin 2. They both look and run great. No frame drops. It's a great value and you can play the entire pikmin series on switch now thankfully.
The GameCube versions of these games were what got me into video games! The new Switch versions help bring these games to the modern age with a 1080p resolution, cleaner UIs, and many bug fixes while also incorporating motion controls (for fans of the Wii version), thus becoming the new definitive way to experience these games!Though I love both of these games dearly, I must confess that my personal favorite of the two is (by a small margin) Pikmin 1. The game, while short, offers endless replayability in search of continually beating your previous record. I’ve replayed this game many times over the years, and I’ve recently achieved beating the game in 9 in-game days! But even then, the lowest amount possible is 6 days, so even after all these years I still have ... MoreThe GameCube versions of these games were what got me into video games! I’ve replayed this game many times over the years, and I’ve recently achieved beating the game in 9 in-game days! But even then, the lowest amount possible is 6 days, so even after all these years I still have more to improve upon! And although Pikmin 1 is my favorite of the two, Pikmin 2 is still a very worthy sequel to the first. It further expands upon 1’s systems with new additions like new Pikmin types, new tools for defeating enemies, and even a second playable Captain which allows for increased gameplay optimization. But, although it is a sequel, Pikmin 2 actually has some notable gameplay differences compared to the first. It chooses to forego the time limit of the first game and instead draws its difficulty from tougher bosses and more situational hazards — so if the time limit of 1 turned you away from that game, you may find 2 to be much more appealing with its unlimited number of in-game days to clear the game. Because of this removal of the time limit, it thus also focuses less on repeated replays to lower your clear time (although that element can still be found as more of a self-challenge); rather, Pikmin 2 focuses on a longer campaign with greater difficulty caps compared to the first for 100% completion. Because of these differences, you may find yourself connecting more with one game than the other. If you find that Pikmin 1 isn’t really your style, then you can play Pikmin 2 without worry as 2 can be played without playing or clearing 1 first. In all, these two games were some of the greatest classics the GameCube had to offer in its library, and I’m extremely pleased they’ve made their way to the Switch! I would highly recommend them to anyone!
