Pioneer TS-G160C-2 6 Inch Component Speakers represent a great blend of high quality sound output and material, without the price tag that can accompany high end audio equipment. Mica reinforced injection moulded polypropylene woofer construction delivers rich and powerful bass and mid frequency audio. Capable of handling 45W RMS / 300W Peak power output these speakers are a fantastic option for lower powered car audio set-ups running purely off the head unit while minimizing distortion. The separate balanced dome tweeter handles the higher frequency output to ensure that your music is faithfully reproduced, featuring a low-profile design that allows these speakers to function at their best even in the tighter fit door panels. With a rated sensitivity of 89dB these car speakers will perform well in low, mid and high powered car audio systems, with a two-way design that makes these speakers suitable for use as a standalone or in conjunction with a subwoofer and amplifier set-up. You can turn the volume up with confidence when you have a set of these Pioneer speakers installed.

An economical solution for replacing base model OE speakers. My OE speakers in the NX Pajero GLX are 15W, and crackled at high volume. These speakers maintain good sound at full with remarkable improvement in bass.

Good sound any bigger you won’t use the power for the price it’s worth it

Bought these yesterday and replaced the front woofer & tweeter on my 2009 MK6 Golf. Excellent sound quality. They respond at 30hz and produce clear and punchy mid's in the 300-600hz range. If youre sound quality isn't good id double check your wiring and the faces of the speaker's are not being restricted by the door card as a priority - Tweeters being tinny makes no sense to me as that's what high frequencies sound like without mid and low range to support it. Did not use spacers for these speakers as originally I had, and it was suppressing the movement of the woofer cone with the door card installed. Once again if you're having issues this would be my checklist before blaming the speaker: Wiring is 100% correct and uses either copper or gold plated wiring(this ... MoreBought these yesterday and replaced the front woofer & tweeter on my 2009 MK6 Golf. Once again if you're having issues this would be my checklist before blaming the speaker: Wiring is 100% correct and uses either copper or gold plated wiring(this will effect sound quality more than you realise) - Tweeters going to tweeter wires and vice versa with woofer. Speaker is secure and not rattling within speaker housing. Speaker face is not restricted as without movement and air surrounding, particularly the woofer you will not get good bass notes. The door card is fitted securely and there is no loose plastic that will vibrate during operation. Check your EQ settings - Reset all to 0 e.g. Bass - 0 (30hz-400hz) Mids - 0 (400hz-800hz) Treble - 0 (800hz - 15khz) Balance - 0 (this will dictate power to either left or right mounted speakers) Fader - 0 (this will dictate power to Front or rear mounted speakers) Make sure you're playing HIGH QUALITY music files 198kpbs minimum Make sure the device you're playing the music from has the EQUALIZER DISABLED OR SET TO 0 on all frequency offsets, this includes removing an PRESELECTED EQ Profiles like "Bass Booster" or "Vocal Booster". If you're playing music from bluetooth, earlier versions of BT will restrict the KBPS of the audio file so best sound test with a WIRED input. If the sound quality is still poor I'd look at the power to the speakers as without enough of it the speaker will not perform well. Cheers

These turned out to be excellent. I was a hesitant before purchase, but once installed they easily outperform the older, larger and heavier speakers I had before.
Great value for mid range priced components speakers
Bought to upgrade front door speakers on a 2001 Pathfinder. Clear sounding without being harsh with a decent enough mid range which can be bolstered with a small sub.
Nice and cheap but was after something with more sound, good for factory upgrade but cant handle too much power
I gotta say, Pioneer's knocked it out the ballpark again! Considering the cost of these speakers you'll be impressed to discover just how clear and punchy these speakers sound compared to your OEM speakers. Especially in Commodores (their paper cone speakers really aren't the best and are known for flying apart in our raging heat) The install was super easy, and just required me to solder new spade connectors on the OEM leads. Anyone with decent electrical knowledge can easily install these. Ideally you should replace the OEM wiring, but unless you're punching 300W through them all the darn time, you won't need to swap wiring out. I run these through a compact Sony Class D 400W 4ch amp hidden in my dash off the back of a Masten Roadmaster Android head unit, and i ... MoreI gotta say, Pioneer's knocked it out the ballpark again! I run these through a compact Sony Class D 400W 4ch amp hidden in my dash off the back of a Masten Roadmaster Android head unit, and i have to say, the clarity these speakers beggars belief for the price. Considering I had a pair of Fusion 6.5" components in my last Commodore, these simply outperformed these by miles for only a modest price jump. Tuning is absolutely essential for your speakers. I'd also add a passive crossover behind the doors if you plan on running the built-in tweeters that come in the box. There's no crossover built in, and crossovers essentially allow the audio to be split properly so that your speakers do the job they're designed to do. I didn't though, and will probably add my own crossovers at a later stage. All in all though, this is an absolutely beastly set of speakers for the price. Definitely worth it!
Im very happy with these speakers. Easy fit into original location and easy setup for tweeter, great sound with Pioneer de k woth 50watt out put
I brought 4 of them a month ago and they sound so clean and clear. and a pioneer head deck sounds awesome. Supercheap should sell more Pioneer equipment
