We live in world of giant DJs. Huge, enormous DJs that require controllers as big as coffee tables. In this respect, the Pioneer DDJSR2 does not disappoint. I thought the Denon MC6000 was big, this unit is much larger. The hard case that fits this is like an airplane suitcase! So, no five stars for this one.To be fair, this isn't the biggest controller out there. It sounds good and works flawlessly with VIrtual DJ from the start. XLR outs are included (pretty much why I bought it). Feel of the knobs, buttons and sliders is good. The whole thing has a well-constructed feel to it. I'd say this unit is better built than a Numark, but maybe not as good as a Denon. If you've got the real estate in your DJ booth, then consider this unit. Since my Numark controller was a bit too big to take for every type of gigs, I purchased this controller last year and to my surprise of using this 2 times last year it's really packed with cool features, and this is also a powerful controller for the affordable price range. It's also very compatible with all of my other equipment's and takes very less footprint. It's also lightweight. The jog wheels also feel like it will last long.Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a beginner to intermediate DJing and wants something with less footprint but packed with tons of features, then this is the one.My AMS Sales Engineer was super awesome and very helpful as always who takes care of me very well too.

Great controller. Works perfect. Really like the option of line in which allow me to use phone to play music. Sad this model is not any more. Very happy with the purchase. I was lucky this is last one all over Australia. I tried searching everywhere. Not available with any retailer. I bought this from Store DJ. Happy very happy.

This DJ controller is the best system I have ever worked with. It came with a with a case which makes it easy to transport and pack up. Everything I need is confidently located in one place. It is very compatible with all of my equipment in comparison to the previous controllers I have used. It is definitely user friendly and I recommend it for beginners as well as experienced DJs.
Bought this as an upgrade from an SB3. Was tossing up between this and the DDJ1000SRT, which I decided was a bit too big and heavy for my mobile set up plus I prefer the layout of the SR2. I was worried this wouldn’t be a big enough step up from the SB3, but it is. I was also worried about it already being a few years old, but it doesn’t look or feel outdated. It just looks so much more professional and does everything better than the SB3. Especially the performance pads! Better knobs, more features, better ins and outs. Loving it
It’s a great machine. I must say. I just ventured into the world of DJ’ing after seeing a buddy of mine make in into a career. I do it for fun. Let me tell you, this controller simplifies EVERYTHING. I finally get to let all these years of piled up music turn into something beautiful. The pitch and tune feature is great for learning and a great transition for matching BPM’s. I can now say, after many YouTube videos and help from serato, that I am confident enough to host a private party or a relaxing day at the beach. I purchased a 12” speaker from guitar center (their own brand) and I’m very satisfied with how everything has come around full circle. Thank you guys very much ! Very satisfied.
Fantastic DJ Controller. Robust metal casing with build & finish resembling to higher range models. Machine finished buttons with nice touch & smooth operational faders. The overall quality & build of the pioneer unit is perfect for the intermediate dj who wants to buy on budget The Controller is light weight & compact. Operating features such as pads have a nice feel & respond nicely to the touch. Jog wheels are balanced nicely, 1 touch stop & slip/vinyl feature. Very nice dj controller with all the packed features for Serato DJ. Highly recommend for quality & value. (DJ Kit recommended this Controller to me & I am very pleased with my choice). Thank you DJ Kit. 5 stars!
I love the function and capabilities of this controller when it works but it has serious issues with the jog wheels. These issues have been discussed online by many people and Pioneer has no solution. Basically, depending on your environment (home, outdoors, club) the jog wheels will sometimes not react to touch. You can put your hand on the jog wheels to stop the song but it will keep playing. Usually if this issue occurs, you can place your other hand on a metal surface and the jog wheel will work. The biggest problem is it is so random. Pioneer states it's a grounding issue but it's happened to me while using the same outlet. One day it works fine then the next day it doesn't work at all.
I am a DJ and I have my big rig (Pioneer CDJ-900s and the Allen & Heath DB2 Mixer in a coffin) that I would lug around for events big and small. I then went to the Pioneer DDJ-SB for smaller events but the sound was nowhere near the quality I'm accustomed to even plugged into my QSC-K12s. I just did an event last week with the DDJ-SR2 and the difference in sound quality was as different as night and day from the SB. I've never had a problem with my system crashing (knock on wood). I run my Serato via my Apple Pro Book. I'm a huge fan of Pioneer and Serato. I've used Serato for nearly 10 years and Pioneer since 1996 (CDJ-500s). The DDJ-SR2 is a great size and is very stable and well made. The layout is typical Pioneer, simplistic and well designed. I look forward to ... MoreI am a DJ and I have my big rig (Pioneer CDJ-900s and the Allen & Heath DB2 Mixer in a coffin) that I would lug around for events big and small. Nonetheless, I still love my CDJ-900s and DB2 and SP-1. I'll be adding a QSC-KSUB to the mix very soon. It's good to have options.
A nice upgrade from the Numark mixtrack pro FX2. Felt like I needed something a bit more and got exactly that with the Pioneer DDJ-SR2 DJ. After watching countless videos and reading tons of reviews on this controller, now I see why it's well respected in terms of quality and the build. It's a 2-channel controller that runs on serato which is my preference and offers great features such as pitch n time and is way easier to understand. Definitely a great controller for beginners looking to pave their way into the Dj world as it offers plenty of features to be your own kind of unique. This controller has everything you need. Nice pick up !
