I am a long time vinyl DJ and decided to purchase the XDJRR to be able to access the infinite realm of digital music. The built in top mounted USB ports can access any flash drive with music and the direct connection to the computer via the USB back port gives more access to view files directly on the computer.I have zero complaints so far with the system. It was very easy to install the software and I have been practicing and sourcing lots of new music to fill up my new flash drives.The unit was shipped very fast and the pay as you go plan is incredible. Pioneer is the only way to go when it comes to DJ equipment. There is a reason it's used for the standard club dj setup. For those who crave the cdj feel but can't afford the $6000 for the 2 2000nxs' and a djm 900nxs this controller comes in super clutch and saves the day and your wallet. I highly recommend this controller for ease of use and portability. If you're used to Pioneer equipment than this controller will definitely please. It feels solid as Pioneer equipment should, and the display is bright and full color and will show your rekordboxed analyzed tracks with every peak and dip in the wav form to make playing and recording a set as easy as ever. Im super satisfied and would recommend this controller to any serious dj with a lower budget.

Great controller.

I had to switch to this after my previous controller broke down (DDJ-SR2). If I was to compare this to the SR2 Id say its a downgrade on certain aspects like the jog wheels dont light up and theres no sampler pads and rekordbox proved to be more complicated than Serato which Im used to.There are good points however, there is a screen on the controller which can load and select tracks to the relevant deck. It is a CDJ which is nice and you can plug a usb 2.0 into it directly and play, however the usb 3.0 types have to be formatted for them to work, which in itself is annoying.Id recommend this if Rekordbox and CDJs are what you are used to.

Great product

Big upgrade from my old traktor controller setup. Great to be able to DJ in fully stand alone mode from usb without needing to connect a computer. Less FX options and remix options than my old traktor setup but it’s much more streamlined to what you actually use for DJ sets so I consider this a positive. Hardware feel on the controller is sturdy and substantial, not plastic midi controller feel. Display is great. Rekordbox software is straightforward and easy to use. Very pleased all around.

Overall Killer price of equipment

Snagged this for some quick at home set ups as well as an optional backup price for gigs where I may need. I loved this thing it’s small and portable yet Gave me the pioneer feel I expect. I really enjoy the fact that it’s a stand alone and that I could use not one but two usbs if I wanted which I never do but the extra slot came in handy for recording my mixes which was super easy and sounded 100. I gave 4 stars because I kinda hated the effects on this device which are a bit more entry level sounding but that could be a small thing for others. It also reset on me twice while recording a mix but I haven’t yet found that issue. I’ve now upgraded to the RX2 just for better effects and a more professional feel. I bought this to take to a weekly cocktail bar gig. It is the perfect size to transport and set up and has a solid build. No laptop needed so you can just prep a USB with Rekordbox and all you need is the tables, USB and a set of headphones. Also has a handy second USB slot for recording live gigs or doing mixes for Soundcloud, YouTube, Mixcloud etc. I do another night at a spot that has a set of CDJ-2000NXS2 and the transition is flawless so you can practice at home on this set before taking your USB and playing larger scale gigs or festivals on house tables. The effects on this mixer are more than enough - all the main ones you need for transitioning and to have fun with the tracks. I bought this controller because it has everything it needs for a standalone DJ controller. The knobs and faders are smooth and feels great! It's a solid DJ controller that will last years without any problems! Def. Recommend for any DJ

Very nice all-in-one unit...

I am not a controller based DJ. However, I was forced to enter the realms when I was booked to play an event out of town. Each of the djs had their own set up, so I bought this unit out of necessity. Turns out I LOVED IT! Compact, rekordbox ready, no laptop needed and dual flash drives. It has become my go to for small events and multiple DJ gigs.
