Refuses to connect to Bluetooth audio consistently.Music on my phone is playing, bluetooth is connected for audio and yet no sound.I have to switch between sources to get it to work, and sometimes i have to power down the unit and back on.Zero.consistency. ghost in the machine and its FRUSTATING THAT A BRAND NEW PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK.Also they changed the harness at the back of the unit so instead of swapping the units over, it needed to be rewired.I choose pioneer cause it was meant to be easy. Its given me headaches.Last time i buy anything pioneer.

There is a firmware update on pioneer site which should solve any issues connecting with newer phones etc but I haven't had any issues. Sound is fairly average with my 6x9's, requires EQ to sound half decent but still seems biased to mids and highs. Connects via bluetooth fine to iphone 8, haven't bothered with the app. For sale price, no complaints - wanted a cheap bluetooth headunit for an old 4wd and it does the job.

Connected for about a month, after that it will not pair at all. Going to return it. Do not buy this you will be disappointed. Absolute crap.
I was on the fence about buying this after reading some of the reviews, however I gave it a shot. The Bluetooth functionality is nothing short of embarrassing. Usually won't reconnect to known iPhones without needing to be restarted or having to remove the device in the iPhone. Spotify control will lag/freeze, not letting you skip from the Head Unit. Current firmware on both the Head Unit and iPhones. All in all a very disappointing Head Unit. I haven't taken it back as I haven't wanted to change the plug type and this has made me wary of all current Pioneer single din Head Units, however it is becoming very annoying.
Easy Fit & Compatible with most modern devices. Bought as replacement as old existing factory radio reception was really bad. Happy with hardware quality and sound and reception since installation (6months). 'Cd' option is also still always handy too. Good/Great Buy if it's the type your lookin for. Con - was easy self Installation but connecting cords not included think about $40 extra but stocked by Supercheap, Plug and play!
Headunit is great and does the job well. For $110 I'm stoked. Haven't heard it clip even without an external amp (Obviously dependant on your speakers and sensitivity). Works really well and the spotify control is really handy. 13 band eq made it easier to set up reasonably flat sound, even with speakers that have quite a sharp eq curve. The biggest issue is to set things like the eq, you need to use the app. The app worked for about a week before it stopped recognising that the headunit was connected. After reinstalling the app it worked for another couple of days before doing the same. The headunit still plays music via bluetooth, it just won't connect to the app to allow you to change the settings that are only available there. Installed this unit into my bf falcon after the stock unit crapped itself recently.Great head unit for the price, easy to program the radio and phone functions, connects to my iPhone with no issues, sound quality is excellent for the price.
Easy mounting in Subaru Impreza 2003, didn't need the provided mounting sleeve. Quite the difference with stock radio so very pleased. Bluetooth works well. Speakers sound more bass-midrange heavy with this one, might EQ bump up the highs a bit. Provided microphone and remote bit too much honestly, didn't install those.
Pros - Great sound and great features. Cons - if you reach for the dial to turn down the volume, while driving, it is extremely easy to go into the menu system from the dial. Therefore your volume stays loud and your stuck in the menu and can't easily turn the volume down.
