Child Hood Memories! Thanks for this sample Bunch and Woolies, we normally purchase the Bickfords Cordials when on special. This cordial reminded me of shearing in Summer time, mum would always have a couple of jugs of cordial on the table at lunch times for the shearers to quench their thirst. They used to bet with each other what colour mum would serve them up, Lime, Orange, Lemon and Raspberry where the four colours always used and this Pips Cordial reminds me of them. Quite sweet and I toned it down more with water, enjoyed some with lemonade on the stinky hot couple of days we had. Grandson wanted to make some icy poles with it but I didn't have the moulds, would be a handy thing for the kids to make I think. I couldn't really taste any apple, the raspberry flavour is more dominate here. For the adults, add some to a glass of gin and lemonade. This costs $2. 00 for 1L and will make 10 litres, more if you don't like it too sweet. 97% of ingredients used are Australian and it's made here. When finished remove cap and crush bottle, pop the lid back on and recycle. Good to know that the company that makes Pips is 100% Australian owned, Tru Blue Beverages. It comes in a Lime and a Fruit Cup Crush flavour, interested to try the others and am also going to sniff out some Icy pole moulds as well. Thanks again for my sample, cheers all.

Nice Cordial, Great Price. I found this cordial on the bottom shelf. It comes in a few other flavourings and the price is $2. 00 for 1L bottle which is suppose to make 10 Litres when mixed with water as it is concentrated. The name PIPS is in bold letters and stands out which is what you want, so I found it very easily. The price is amazing but I found I had to add a little extra cordial than I usually do to give the taste we like, compared to our usual cordial we purchase. Made in Australia from at least 97% Australian products. I would buy this again. The family enjoyed the taste and the price is fantastic. Thanks Bunch for the chance to try this.

Sweet Treat. The Pips Apple Raspberry cordial was nice to try. We don't normally buy cordial because it is often too sweet or contains a high amount of sugar. The apple raspberry flavour is a nice combination of flavours to try. Berry with apple go reasonably well together. The cordial was a little sweet, but you expect that from a concentrate. We also tried mixing the cordial with soda water which added an extra dimension with the bubbles. The product is reasonably priced and comes in a good size bottle, which is easy to store. I would consider buying this product again and will also look out for other flavours.

It's sugar..... This will be a quick one... Well I don't buy cordial and if I ever have to buy one from the supermarket I just get Brickfords which is really rare. I have a huge stock of 1883 syrups and I opt for those as they work really well in any and all sorts of drinks as well as baking and desserts. Anyway this Pips cordial seems to always be in stock at my Woolies, I have never seen the shelf empty so it is either restocked daily or no one is buying it. It looks like any other cordial, nothing special. I gave it to my partner as I really dislike cordial in general to see if I should give it a go. I ignored the instructions and gave him half the portion suggested. He said it was "okay". I tried it out and thought it tasted bad far too sweet for my liking and I ... MoreIt's sugar..... I ignored the instructions and gave him half the portion suggested. He said it was "okay". I tried it out and thought it tasted bad far too sweet for my liking and I really disliked the smell and the artificial taste. The next day I gave my partner a full dose of the suggested serving size and he told me that he felt like he was drinking sugar and that he doesn't want to see the cordial ever again.... so that says a lot!I am sure that this product has a place somewhere, in some household out there, but it is a big no for my house. I just found the taste too fake and if I am going to go "hardcore" and drink something high in sugar then I might as well get a soft drink. I further wouldn't recommend it for anyone who decreases to dosage amount suggested as it still tastes bad in my opinion. Please stick to higher quality syrups, invest in something that tastes good, if your budget isn't too tight or you drink coridal like drinks once in a while then I suggest 1883 syrup line. The 1883 brand has never let me down.

A Weak Brew. This PIPS cordial I found the ratio of 9 parts water to 1 part cordial was way too weak producing a jug full of sweet redish water with little flavour of the apple and raspberry. Adding an other splash to the jug and glasses I did find the flavour improved a tad. A light raspberry flavour with a touch of a green apple but still very sweet. Not a combination that we overly enjoyed. Now we all know cordial is pretty high in sugar but this one has in it's ingredients, sugar PLUS three more artificial sweeteners added 950, 952 and 955. I think this needs to be looked at as this cordial is just way too sweet and lacks flavour. The Bottle was easy to spot in the cordial aisle with it's pops of colour on the labels. Would I buy again - Nope.

Weird aftertaste. We don’t usually drink cordial so I waited till we had friends over to open this one. The flavour was ok (though very sweet) but I found it had a weird aftertaste that I didn’t enjoy- I often find this with some artificial sweeteners. This product does have sweeteners added (despite sugar being the second ingredient) they are identified by number, not sure what they are. A little does go a long way with flavouring the drinks so it is a very economical buy.

Great Flavour! We rarely drink cordial, so maybe this is why we thought this was great. I loved that it was made in Australia from 97% ingredients and the apple and raspberry flavour is what you would expect from this advertised flavour. It makes me wonder however, how many artificial sweeteners are in though as it only has a fifth of the kj content of another brand of raspberry cordial. I'd prefer real sugar than sweeteners, so that is why I haven't ranked it a 5 out of 5. Great taste, great as a treat, and yes, very sweet - but that is basically what cordial is, lol.

Good Value. This cordial was easy to find in the cordial aisle. There are three flavours in the range. At $2 for 1 litre, it is good value for money. We don't buy a lot of cordial due to the sugar content, so I was interested to try this range. The label says to mix 1 part cordial to 9 parts water. We (and our grandchildren) were happy with the flavour with this amount. The flavour was good, with a combined apple and raspberry taste as you would expect. It was a refreshing cold drink on a hot day. Made in Australia from at least 97% Australian ingredients. Contains sweeteners, preservatives, flavours and colours, so this is a sometimes drink. The bottle and lid are recycable. I will continue to stick to the no sugar cordials, but was happy to give this a go and we ... MoreGood Value. This cordial was easy to find in the cordial aisle. Not a fan. This cordial was easy to find in store and for $2 it's good value for money. I also liked the fact that it was mostly made in Australia and that it makes 10 litres of drinks. What I really didn't like was the taste. It's meant to be apple raspberry and I couldn't taste apple at all. I'm very surprised that other Bunchees who've tried this cordial found it pretty sweet, maybe they used more cordial than I did, but I don't think it's that sweet. I'm sorry to say that it tastes like an unpleasantly flavoured, cheap and weak cordial. I won't ever buy this or recommend it to anyone. I'd rather spend more on a cordial I know I'll like, even if it's more expensive. I'd love to know if anyone else thought the same when they tried it.

Doesn’t taste like apple and raspberry, rather weak jelly. This was a disappointment. I’ve had many brands of cordial and generally it’s a product that’s hard to get wrong. Unfortunately this one tastes nothing like the label says. Apple and raspberry is my family’s favourite cordial flavour and we have been very happy with three brands of it. This one does not match any of those and instead tastes like weak jelly. I can’t pin the flavour - but one of the aeroplane brand ones. Won’t be buying this one again. The good point is the cheap price.
