SmartEVO 2 compound The SmartEVO2 compound is Pirelli's most advanced race compound and consists of three different polymers whose perfect blend makes for optimal performance. This compound is used by the professional riders of Lidl-Trek and other teams, and offers optimal grip in addition to low rolling resistance. As such, it gives you perfect control of your bike in all weather conditions. SpeedCore construction SpeedCore is a high-performance tubeless-ready construction by Pirelli with a unique design where an aramid layer is added to the tyre's rubber. This structure not only provides strength and support but also ensures comfortable and smooth handling with minimum rolling resistance and maximum traction. This is combined with a 120 TPI nylon carcass for optimal puncture resistance. Test results Compared to the previous P Zero Race TLR tubeless road bike tyre, this version is much improved both in terms of speed and weight. The latest tests show that the P Zero Race TLR RS has a 16% lower rolling resistance than its predecessor and an 8% lower weight. The 28 mm version, for example, weighs only 290 grams. Tubeless-ready The P Zero Race TLR RS road bike tyre can be used with inner tubes but also tubeless, the latter being the fastest and lightest option. The new TLR construction increases puncture protection as well as speed. In addition, the tyre has a new bead design, making it even better suited to modern rims. As such, it is a perfect airtight tyre that is reliable and easy to mount.
