Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus - The Scorpion All Terrain Plus is Pirelli's Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tire developed for drivers of pickup trucks, crossovers, and SUVs who want a balanced blend of on-road civility with off-road capability. The Scorpion All Terrain Plus is designed with a focus on optimizing durability, traction and wear resistance, in addition to providing light snow traction sufficient to receive the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol. Utilizing Pirelli's cut- and chip-resistant, New Generation tread compound, the Scorpion All Terrain Plus is molded into a symmetric, high-void pattern. This pattern is designed to provide smooth and quiet on-road operation along with aggressive looks and confident off-road traction. Deep grooves and independent tread blocks help provide the clawing action needed to find grip in loose terrain, and conical stone ejectors resist punctures by forcing small rocks from the tread. Wide lateral notches and open shoulders evacuate water from the contact patch to aid hydroplaning resistance and the advanced compound combines with multiple block edges and in-block sipes to provide sure-footed performance in slippery or snowy conditions. The internal construction of the Scorpion All Terrain Plus consists of a polyester casing to combine durability with ride comfort. Two high-strength steel belts stabilize and support the footprint, and multiple nylon reinforcement plies increase durability and provide high-speed capability.

Im no expert, but I've had the tires on my 2019 Ford F150 for a year and have gone through all 4 seasons located in Southern Kentucky. I waited a year to praise these tires. i knew they were very good looking tires but would they function like like the reviews i read? Great on snow, ice, muddy, dirt rocky, and wet rainy roads. Handle great on the highway, also. Tread has worn very lightly over the 20,000 miles i have driven the tires. Absolutely no negatives for me. The Best tire I have ever purchased. For $200 a piece, you cant beat them.

On a positive note, the people I dealt with at the Woodstock, Illinois store were as helpful as they could be. Received email saying tires were in on Tuesday. Went to pick them up and 3 out of the 4 I ordered were there. They looked into that. I next received an email saying Thursday the 4th tire would arrive. Another Thursday saying it was there. went Friday morning to pick it up. Not there. I was told they ordered another one and hopefully it would be there Monday at the earliest. Received notification Monday saying it was at the store. Went to get it, not there. Got home, checked email, had this email asking how my experience was, even though I still hadn't received the 4th tire. Shortly after that I got a call saying the tire was in. I asked "are you sure?" The person on the phone said yes, I'm looking at it. Picked it up yesterday, 1 week later. The 4th tire had rusty water stains on 1 side and large pink markings on the tread all around. 4 extra round trips to pick up the 4th tire. I'm out hours of my time and gallons of fuel due to false notices and shipping errors. Made it not such a good thing for me. Not sure who I'll have install them now...... tires look good, the 4th one needs to have rusty water stains removed.

The Pirelli Scorpion is an excellent tire. It holds the road extremely well in all conditions. It has excellent tread life. This is my second set. Do not buy these thinking that the store will install them. The employees do not know the difference between the load rating and the load index system. Walmart has insufficient training for their employees and therefore the employees are not able to determine that a tire built to be installed on a pickup truck can be installed on a pickup truck. Specifically, since the tire did not have an LT designation marked on the tire he said “I’m not installing that tire.” The tire has a load carrying capacity more than 200lbs higher than the tire coming off the vehicle. A 285/65-18 load 116 W speed rated tire is built to be installed on a light pickup truck. It’s 32” tall. What passenger car uses a 32” tall aggressive tread tire. None.Great tire! Don’t expect to have them installed at a Walmart because the training available to the employees leaves them woefully incapable of understanding what tires are capable of being installed on your vehicle.

These tires are perfect for my Silverado. I found these after extensive research and glad that I made the choice. They are extremely quiet, ride well, and have great traction. I was looking for an all-terrain tire for some additional traction, but one that would not impact fuel economy or on-road performance. This one really delivers. These tires weigh in at only 2lbs more than the factory rated tires so fuel economy and braking performance will not be impacted.
This is gonna b a long one. Bought these tires several months ago 37 13.5 20s and had them professionally mounted and balanced on my 2015 f250. My truck was shaking at different speeds above 40 mph. Brought truck back to where the tires were mounted and balanced to have them balanced again. Truck still shakes. Bought the tire beads hoping this would solve the shaking. That didn't work either. Brought my truck to Ford and the front end completely new. 3600$ later truck still shaking. Turns out it wasn't my truck but tires were out of round up and down and side to side. Had my old tires luckily and had them mounted back on my truck. Shaking stopped. Needless to say I was only reimbursed for the tires and first mount and balance. After 35 emails and hrs on the phone w all my invoices what a complete waste of my time. I will never buy cheap tires again or do mail order so take my advice and do not buy these tires
Ordered them and scheduled appointment to have them installed online. They were delivered to store in 4 days , took truck to store to have them installed , technician installed them on time %26 took about 1/12 hours to complete. Tires were just over 2 months old according to date stamp on sidewall and also came with outline white letters ( not stated in description on website). So far totally satisfied but havent had snow yet in northern michigan to really test them. Original tires on 2022 Silverado were Michelin primacy which were completely useless in winter in Northern Michigan and previous to the Primacy's i have always had all terain tires on my other trucks which always gave great traction in winter so I expect good results from the Pirelli's. These Pirelli's are fairly new to the truck(2015 Ford F-150 Lariat Crewcab 4X4), but I have felt the original tire's(Goodyear's), and the feel on the road, is like night %26 day, as the Goodyear's always felt "spongy", as these feel like they are glued to the road, with a solid structure, as well as they are very easily balanced, as I feel like I am on rail's, as I felt like I was pushing it around the same corner's, with the Goodyear's. And, they have a definite look to them, that make's you feel like you will never get stuck in the snow, ever again. Definitely a game changer, as well as, confidence builder, when driving around other's on the road. And, they performed in the normal rain, perfectly. And, they give great braking abilities, as well, with the deep tread. And, they are extremely smooth riding, with virtually no noise, where the wind coming in the window, drowned out the slight humming sound, that came from the tire's. And, the steering wheel, even seem's lighter to the touch, when turning(I was not expectin that one), as if it made it easier on the A-arm's, bushing's and etc, with the wear and tear, from the old tire's. But, like I said, not a lot of time with them on the truck, so far. But, being a retired automotive machinist, specializing in high performance engine's and ex-race car driver, you get a knack of gauging thing's, like the tire's and etc, with their performance, pretty quickly. Also drove on a little bit of black ice spot's, with very little trouble's...
Know what you need. Buy that. I used to put my vehicles into bad situations on a regular basis, in construction. I needed tires to endure abuse, regularly. I was a Michelin LTX AT2 buyer, and recommend paying the extra if you abuse tires. My 2014 Toyota 4Runner is now primarily driven by my daughter, and off-road needs are essentially limited to camping and such, so, use, not abuse. If you know tread, you can look at the pattern and know what the traction will be. It's a good hybrid tread pattern. Noise is no more or less than I'm used to, and purchase price was much less. These tires ARE comparitively light. This improves acceleration, deceleration, and fuel economy. I don't know how long they will last, but they do not sound softer or harder than I am used to. If you need All Terrain capability everyday, consider heavier, more expensive tires, of which there are many. For occasional offroad use, I chose the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain, and have no regrets at this point. Here's the thing, every mile over forty thousand that we get out of these tires, is a bonus mile. I
I am quite happy with the St. Pete. store's auto department. These tires were what I was looking for when the last set reached the tread wear limit, and one was starting the loose its tread. Unfortunately the closest Sam's Club at that time was in Gainsville and the staff there did not provide very good service. They only had 2 of the brand tire I ended up with, so I didn't get the discount for buying 4. Also they didn't check the tire pressure sensor unit, but mounted the tire anyway. So now I will either have to pay to have the tire removed, the sensor serviced, and the tire re-mounted, or live with the dash warning of "Faulty tire sensor" for the life of this tire. The St. Pete store was able to scan the wheels and confirm where the bad sensor was. You would ... MoreI am quite happy with the St. Pete. store's auto department. You would think when a service person drives a car into the service bay, and the warning light and bell alert a problem, they would at the very least ask the customer if they wanted the problem checked.
These tires have been great so far and I will continue to monitor them and update the review if anything changes as they wear.2 weeks after these were installed I got stuck in a muddy mess while pulling my travel trailer and had great traction with these tires.I have also not noticed any of the loud road noise others are complying about.Attention people complaining about how the white lettering and scorpion logo don't show! The reason is that the installer put that side facing in and not out... the white lettering and scorpion log are in fact there. I personally don't care for the white lettering/branding facing out (they aren't paying me to advertise) so I chose to have the white side facing in.
