I liked Pixi Retinol, and for me it became much more effective than its friend - Pixi Glow Exfoliating Tonic. Retinol has a much more serious and profound effect on the relief and texture of the skin. I like that the tonic is already able to show the effect from the first application, but to get carried away and apply it on a daily basis, and even 2 times a day - I would have thought several times and already proceeded from the individual skin condition, because I personally have a tonic from frequent use dried up dehydrated areas. In general, if you approach acidic products wisely, the result will not be long in coming, but the most important thing I want to pay attention to is that in the mandatory case, after using acids, we apply Spf to protect the skin from ... MoreI liked Pixi Retinol, and for me it became much more effective than its friend - Pixi Glow Exfoliating Tonic. So I had never used a retinol toner or tonic before. I've always used either a serum or gel or cream. But this was totally a wonderful thing for me! The fact that its time release, and that my skin is so used to retinol, i am able to use it 2 xs a day for maximum benefits, in rotation with the glow serum tonic and pads the next day. I'd only recommend that if your skin is used to high doses of retinol. I don't have sensitive skin really at all, or very rarely I should say. This has softened and helped even out my skin tone, and Im super happy that I was able to get ut for $5 @ Walgreens! So amazing!!!! I adore Pixi!!!

Throughout the years I've used various toners, but this happened to be my top favorite one! This is the 2nd time I am purchasing this particular toner by Pixi skintreats retinol tonic. I love that it has retinol(which is great for your skin from fine lines to acne) and jasmine flower. It's alcohol free, paraben free, not tested on animals and great for all skin types. Peptides firm the skin and boost collagen production. It leaves my skin smooth, soft, and clear! This 4.2 fl oz is great for traveling and a quick touch up after running around with errands, gym sweat, and the Texas summer heat my skin loves so much hahah. I use it daily and I am loving it! I would highly recommend it, as it has worked for me!

Even better than the 'Glow' tonic...
20 November 2020

I loved Pixi's Glow Tonic and after trying this I'm surprised to discover that both products have a very similar effect on my skin. Both balance hydration (in this case Glycerin and Propanediol) whilst being moderately astringent, both are brightening (a good amount of Vitamin C in here) and other than the color and fragrance of the tonics, my skin reacts almost identically whichever of the two I'm using. However one crucial difference with the Retinol version is it has a better effect on my pores. 'Glow' kept them fairly clear, although it didn't minimize them in any way, but this one definitely has a subtle yet noticeable minimizing effect on them. 'Glow' kept them fairly clear, although it didn't minimize them in any way, but this one definitely has a subtle yet noticeable minimizing effect on them. I'm thinking now to alternate the two each night, as I tend to avoid using Retinol or its derivatives, and AHA-containing products during the day time. If you already use Retinol in your skincare (cream, serum) then it may be worth skipping this product as you're probably used to a much higher percentage of the ingredient and won't notice any additional benefits of using this one. But if you find most retinol products too irritating - as I do, then this is a good entry level product, mild enough not to cause any issues like sensitivity, and yet still potent enough to make a fair amount of difference. If I had to pick between the two, I'd choose this tonic over the 'Glow' one. Retinol aside, the ingredients in this one are overall superior. And so are the results. -> My 'Ulta Beauty Top 7 must-have list' (My 7 favorite beauty products of all time, focusing mainly on my purchases at Ulta) < - < 1. Hair Loss Treatment: Divine Herbal Hair Oil < 2. Eye Cream: Clinique All about eyes < 3. Lip Gloss: Clarins Lip Comfort Oil < 4. Makeup Remover: Lancome Bi Facil < 5. Pigmentation + Anti-Aging Serum: Divine Herbal Facial Treatment Serum < 6. Eyeliner: Ulta Beauty Gel Eyeliner Pencil < 7. Moisturizer: 'Lush' - Enzymion

Having sensitive skin and trying new products is alwaaaaays a hit or miss for me. I've been using this for a few months now and feel like I can give an honest review. At first I was skeptical from reading reviews for this product from Amazon, target and the web, but decided to just take a chance on it since I also use the tonic with great results (Yay!!). Gentle, Great Scent

Love the scent on this! It's a really subtle floral scent that reminds me a little of baby products. It's not greasy at all (I live in the tropics and the humidity can make many products feel icky on my skin). Great alternative to my usual retinol toner, and I use this every other day with hydrosols.Great quality product, and of a big size that should last for months. My skin feels moisturised but not smothered.I seldom comment on the packaging but I love how the bottle looks and feels for some reason as well!Do give this a thumbs up if it helped!

This retinol tonic is a game-changer for those seeking to combat signs of aging. Infused with retinol and other beneficial ingredients, this toner effectively targets fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven texture. With regular use, my skin appeared smoother, and my pores seemed less noticeable. However, as retinol can be potent, I advise caution for those with sensitive skin. The 100ml size is convenient for travel or trial, making it a great addition to any anti-aging skincare routine. Overall, a powerful and effective retinol tonic from PIXI.

Nice tonic, subtle smell, works great

I really love Pixi products and this Retinol Tonic is no different. I started with the smaller size to test it out and ended up liking it so much that I now buy the bigger size to refill the smaller bottle (better space saver). I really like the way this feels on my skin. It has a subtle smell which is much better than something overpowering and a little bit seems to go a long ways. GLOW has been my favorite line of Pixi products, but this Retinol line has definitely become a close second

Neither love nor hate this product because it doesn’t seem to make a huge difference in my skin. I apply it by putting a small amount into my palm and then gently pat it into my face after cleansing and before serums. The smaller size bottle lasts ages this way and it helps serums absorb and spread. It’s hard to say if this product really did much or if it was other products I was using. When using this product my face does seem a bit brighter and smoother in the morning, but I also don’t notice a big difference when I stop using it. Smells don’t really bother me if a product works, but be warned if they do bother you that this product smells like Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sausage lol I won’t be repurchasing because I’d rather get my retinol from stronger products, but ... MoreNeither love nor hate this product because it doesn’t seem to make a huge difference in my skin. Fantastic. When I began using this product a few months ago I already had a traditional retinol treatment that included a cream that I’ve used for almost 20 years- I started said routine in my very late teens and gradually kept increasing the strength along the way. I’m currently at the highest OTC available Retinol level so the addition of this toner has enabled me to increase the overall strength of my routine while staying within the OTC level product offerings. I am new to the Pixie skincare line, but have quickly become a huge devotee. I alternate between this newer Retinol toner and the more recognizable pink, Glycolic containing “Glow” toner. Both work wonderfully but using a different one on alternating nights allows for maximum benefits while minimizing the risks of overuse since you should never use Retinol & Glycolic Acid containing products on the same nights to prevent drying out your skin. They both help keep the signs of aging from making their appearances (or at least delay them) but in different ways. Alternating their usage- along with faithful DAILY SUN-BLOCK*- ensures you are covering your main bases of prevention & correction. I also only use these tones as part of my nighttime skincare routine, the bottle may say “a.m and/p.m” but out of an abundance of caution I reserve any product that contains ingredients that may make my skin more photosensitive for nighttime applications, that’s just me. Yet even with using it once every other night I was able to see benefits within 2-4 weeks. I also do not usually apply product with a cotton ball or pad, I just pour a small amount in my palms and splash and press it onto my face. It saves both waste of product and waste in general. I also find this application method very refreshing.*Never use a product with Retinol without also using a reliable sun block of at least a SPF 30 that is also Broad-Spectrum, not doing so would be both pointless and end up making your face more likely to show aging at a faster rate vs the point of a Retinol which is to slow such signs down.As the SPF in sun-block only refers to UVB rays which, vanity speaking only,**are only responsible for sun burns, aging rays are due to UVA and are not protected by the SPF rating making sure it is also officially a “Broad Spectrum” sun-block is essential.**Both types of UV rays cause or at least contribute to skin cancer**
