These are actually really great, if you can’t afford a professionally made mouth guard from your dentist. When I lost my professional one, that had cost over three hundred dollars, I tried many over the counter ones, and the ones you boil to fit your mouth, ended up irritating my gums. I bought almost every brand of those, thinking the more expensive ones maybe would be better, but they were not. I finally tried these Plackers night guards, and they are so good! No gum irritation, and no morning headaches from TMJ!

I wore these for two nights before reviewing. They’re really small. They don’t stay in place during the night. The plastic piece that connects the sides irritates my gums. But the worst part is every morning it feels like there is plastic stuck in my molars and my toothbrush can’t remove it. The guard itself looks brand new so I haven’t been grinding enough to cause it to degrade and get stuck in my teeth like this.
They fit quite well and stay in place once inserted. I have quite a large mouth so they tend to sit more over the middle molars rather than the back ones. They seem strong and well made, and definitely provide me with some relief by absorbing some of the pressure if/when I clench my jaws and teeth at night. At 60 years old my dentist recommended a splint to me because of tooth wear caused by clenching at night.Each disposable guard should be replaced every 3 days.

These are a set of 16 disposable night guards for those of us who clench or grind your teeth during sleep. This is a good temporary solution for those of us that have that problem. It comes with 16 individually wrapped night guards that can be used for three nights consecutively. I found after the second night they were a little out of shape because of the pressure from clenching the teeth. They are supposed to be worn on either the upper or lower teeth. I do find that they work because I am one who clenches my teeth at night. Of course you have to get used to it because it is something foreign in your mouth. If teeth clenching or grinding is a severe problem for you of course the best solution would be to get custom-made night guards. This is only if your case is severe because they’re very expensive. It's some kind of dental safe rubbery material and it's not uncomfortable to wear as long as it fits. I tried the guard on my bottom teeth the second night, and I guess this is where the caveats of 'one size fits all' come in, because it was not as comfortable for me as it was on my top teeth. The rubbery strip that fits under your lip was hitting me in the frenulum. Mileage no doubt will vary with that. The box says you can use one for up to three nights in a row. If you choose to do that you'll probably want to get something to store them in, like a denture case or a soap dish. I resumed using the guard on my top teeth, which is a much better fit for me, and got several more great nights sleep before I started to notice that my bite alignment was being affected, so I stopped using them and my bite went back to normal. The box says not to use them for more than 3 months at a time, so that makes sense. How long you can them before you need to give it a rest for a little while is probably going to vary for different people, but I'm happy to have this product in my medicine cabinet to break out on those nights when a good night's sleep is extra important.
I have used these night guards for a number of years now, and I would not use anything else, unless truly necessary. They are very simple to use. Sanitary, not cumbersome in the mouth, easy to keep and store, no extra frills--I take them when I travel. Being individually wrapped makes them a no-brainer to buy! Unless there is something you need because of a physician order, these will help a LOT with clenching and grinding which can occur at night when sleeping.
In full transparency these took me trying a couple of times. The second time I was comfortable wearing these all night. I have ground my teeth to a pulp and sleep with a night guard without fail. I like pluckers when I travel since wearing a night guard is a must do. If I can't find where I put it, no problem. These are disposable and work as good as my night guard from my dentist. These have been SO beneficial for me. Happy to see Target carries it
Have been using these for years for mild teeth clenching. Given that this is a personal product, I use the same mouth guard "endlessly." A simple rinse in the morning is alI need and I just replace when I feel like it needs it - certainly not within 3 days. Given that the multi-pack I have is still the tall blue package, I had to come on-line to see where I can find more now that I've moved and didn't find in my local drug-store. Packaging changed but I assume the product has stayed the same.Individual packaging is a plus and the item so light; just throw an extra one into your travel kit and never be without! And, of course, the price is also a HUGE plus!
