Great little rod for chucking small lures and plastics around.
Whilst it is a bit lean on some of the important gear such as hooks, this kit was used to get the young ones new rod combo kitted up. It carries a small range of kit, when married up to the other kit that came with the rod - relatively versatile. The box seals well but I highly recommend acquisition of further tackle, but as far as starter kits though is pretty neat.
This kit is a great starter. It would be better if it gave a little information regarding best uses for each item and how to place sinker, swivel or hook on line.

Great starter kit for my twins. Even better when they were 2 for $50. Tackle included is good but not great. Box has plenty of room to put extras like a small tackle tray for jigheads or hardbodies, packets of soft palstics, some tools and leader.
Kit has a great selection of tacked including a small Han-reel wit line already installed. The case itself Is a little little flimsy/soft, but great for beginners and children. I purchased 2, but had to have it exchanged. The staff were great - quickly exchanged without a problem. Very helpful staff.
Yes it is a very plain tackle box with 1 tray and plenty of storage space under tray. The 300 odd bit and pieces can use some but a lot of little stuff i wont use. Made of plastic and is very tough.
