So far seems to be a good headset. Has a few specific quirks, but almost all headsets have some special way they operate. One item that I found about this headset is that you can connect to eight different blue tooth devices, but can only use two at one time. I specifically wanted to use this with my iPhone and my smart tv, however, these headsets are not really geared towards working with smart TVs, even though the smart tv has blue tooth. It will work with the tv, but automatically disconnects your phone, then you have to reconnect your phone when you are done with tv. This headset primarily wants to work with other phones, home computers, laptops, etc. So, if you dont mind doing some connecting and reconnecting, it works good. You get a little quick start card, but to get the complete instructions you need to load the Poly app. I had to call Plantronics Customer Support to find out about the connection issues. All in all, a good headset. I bought this one used and it came with the new charging case for about 1/2 the cost of new. New charging case is nice and solves several charging problems I had with older models.

Excellent noise cancellation, good battery life. Tried it out year ago and liked it so much now I order them for all the company employees with vehicles. May have bought 40 or more since. Don't keep count. They are pretty tough. I accidently dropped the one in the photo below walking into the office. By the time I realized it 10 minutes later it had already been run over by a truck. Believe or not the unit still works. It is just a bit uncomfortable to wear so bought a new one... FYI an 1100rpm spin cycle of a washing machine does not do the headset any favors. Still worked after drying out but disconnected frequently.

We have been using Plantronics headsets exclusively, for 40 years. Until now, they have always been the best headsets on the market and Plantronics always provided outstanding USA-based customer service. This 5200 is physically flimsy and no longer intuitive to use. The battery self-discharges when the headset is powered off. The talk time and standby time is just a lie. Shame on HP for ruining a great brand. Our perfectly good Voyager Legend headsets stopped working so we tried updating the software. There is no update available. When we finally reached Customer Service, a person who barely spoke English informed us that they no longer provide support for the product because it is "out-of-date."

This is my third Voyager headset, but the first of the new Poly-branded ones. It is an improvement on the previous ones, and the noise cancelling is very impressive indeed. (I was recently standing in the street opposite a garbage truck loading rubbish, and the caller on the other end had no idea.)There remain a couple of minor niggles.First, the over-the-ear hook doesn't easily accommodate eyeglasses or sunglasses.Second, the size and shape of the rubber earpiece is such that the thing tends to just sit in the part of the ear called the concha (that open area above the ear canal) and so never feels like it's secure, in contrast to earbuds and the like which sit in the ear canal. I can live with that, but...it also means a lot of external noise gets in. So, I ... MoreThis is my third Voyager headset, but the first of the new Poly-branded ones. I can live with that, but...it also means a lot of external noise gets in. So, I can be standing somewhere noisy and the person I'm calling can hear me, but I can't hear them! The Voyager would be much better if the eartips provided better passive noise blocking. The third thing is that the Plantronics firmware that runs the smart sensors to know if you're wearing the headset or not doesn't always cooperate nicely with iOS. I had the same problem on previous models too. The only solution I found is on the phone to go into SETTINGS > ACCESSIBILITY > TOUCH > CALL AUDIO ROUTING and select BLUETOOTH HEADSET. That is, deselect AUTOMATIC. iOS already tries to determine where to route a call, and will automatically switch between headphones, watches, cars, and computers. It seems that if the Voyager is trying to route the audio at the same time as the phone, it's a bit hit-and-miss where it will go.I know this sounds a bit picky, but it means I'm never *quite* sure if the audio will route correctly. I still find that calls won't transfer to the headset until there is audio on the line: either a ring tone, or the caller answering, and it's a bit disconcerting starting a call and hearing...nothing...for a few seconds, and then the headset beeps with the three-tone prompt it plays when connecting, and *then* I can hear something occurring.Fundamentally, it works well, but these things take the polish off it such that I score it as 4/5 rather than 5/5. YMMV.
This headset is terrific for phone calls and working from home. People hear me clearly and it works with the iPhone in a pretty integrated way. I did experiments with how much background noise the people hear and it does very well albeit not 100%. It fits on the ear easily and it is very easy to take off and put in your pocket for when you need it. Talking just on phone lets the noise go through and lets wind noise difficult. I use it to go for walks and moving around. It also worked at the gym for podcast but the volume wasnt quite loud enough to hear perfectly when the gym machines and gym music was too loud. Cell talking is pretty loud enough. Cell talking is pretty loud enough. The image of the product I got was old because I got the latest Poly version with a slot in the battery case for the BT700 USB and I also got a USB C to A converter included. So this was a very good surprise that it was the latest version of the model 2022 update Poly version instead of older Plantronics version.
Good Points: The noise cancelling really works. Whatever is going on around you, the other person doesn't hear it. Sometimes the noise where you are can be so loud that it drowns out the voice of the person you're talking to and yet they can still hear you. Example - open-top car cruising on the motorway. Amazing.Battery life is generally enough. Does five hours of meetings before needing a charge, and the charging case (optional) gives about another two charges.Improvement Points: It's not the cheapest, and they don't last forever. I'm on my fourth one, and the fault I've had, usually after a couple of years or more, is one or more of the four microphones stop working and the noise cancelling can't work properly any more. The first time they replaced it under warranty without a fuss. That unit went on to last quite a while longer. After I replaced it at my expense, the second time it was past two years when it went wrong and I had to buy my own replacement. That one has suddenly stopped sending any audio from the mic at all, so I've bought this one to replace it and it's working brilliantly as expected.
I have used Plantronics Voyager Headsets since Planteonics brought them out with the onset of Bluetooth. The products were fabulous and an absolute Godsend. The connectivity fab, never dropped the connection. The voice commands worked all of the time. Sound quality phenomenal, the sensors to know whether the headset was on your ear or not, Fabulous!.This latest incarnation from Poly is Shocking have to reset the sensors all ofnthe time. No voice commands when you press the button. No voice commands work when trying to answer the calls. The Bluetooth connection drops as soon as you answer the call.It is I think at the point of going in the bin. Will get my old plantronics headset out the drawer and use some sticky tape undmtil I can find a voice activated ... MoreI have used Plantronics Voyager Headsets since Planteonics brought them out with the onset of Bluetooth. Trying to find the best meeting option in today's market is quite the challenge, one the Voyager stands up to quite well. It easily installs, has great audio clarity and is very quick to connect to your device. A couple of things to consider, the battery sits behind your ear, so if you wear reading glasses getting the two comfortable can take a couple of adjustments. The battery life is only 6 hours which for me requires I place it in a changing station (bought separately) between calls. Like my earbuds my ear get soar after about 7-8 hours of calls. The ranges is ok from the computer, other devices seem to reach just a bit farther, but I find the range adequate for what I use it for. This is not my primary meeting device and would recommend you give it a try.
I bought this 5200 Voyager to replace my very worn out Voyager Pro. I was disappointed. It is supposed to be an upgrade, but did not work nearly as well. The Pro always gave me 7 hours talk time on a charge. The 5200 "says" it will give 6 hours on a charge. But this one only gave maximum of 5 hours. The 5200 did not respond as readily to my voice as the Voyager. It did not fit as comfortably. And I did not like the way charge cord (which was extremely short) plugged into the 5200. I like the quick magnetic snap of the Voyager's connection. I can do it one-handed and even in the dark.I ended up returning the 5200 and bought another Voyager. I am very happy now!
Well I do not relish in leaving negative reviews, I love to leave all the stars, but this one is not it. I'm experiencing the difficulty you will uncover if you're unfortunate enough to have it, where it constantly disconnects and for whatever mystical reason, I'm sure there's one, maybe it's a codec problem? IDK, it's constantly disconnecting from my phone. No fix can be found. those cheap JBLs or skullcandies or whatever, I have better success with. next time, I'm sticking with Jabra. bring back jaw bone, never had an issue with that.On my life, never had so much grief, and wanted to cause so much destruction to a product.
