Pretest is a great reliable line! Has good abrasion resistance and is extremely supple and thin! Comes in fluro yellow and clear ive have used for everthing from trolling for spanish on 15kg to bait fishing for bream on 3kg. Would highly recommend!!!

It is Australian made and it has worked for me for more years than I care to remember. You don't need anything fancy to catch bream, whiting and flathead.

Platypus pretest is very clear and difficult for fish to see, so you get more hits. When a pelagic first hits the bait, Platypus pre-test will stretch, unlike braid which is more likely to pull hooks. I have caught mackeral up to 25kg on Platypus 8kg pre-test.

First cast caught a bloody beast, second landed the biggest seaweed fish ive seen, and guess what?No fraid cord to be seen, thi stuff is super strong you could tow a tug boat with the stuff. Negative is its springy, you could jump off buildings with the stuff
Bought it to replace some lighter line on my reel and pretty happy with it. It was heavier line than I had on my reel but when I compared side by side with the other line the new line was not that much thinker, also was as flexible. Like the fact that the test rating of the line is on the side of the spool.
Another great product by Platypus. It is without a doubt always good to know the breaking strain of the line that I'll be using for the surf in preparation for unexpected sized fish hooking up. I can definitely see why they use PRE-TEST for gamefishing (IGFA and ANSA). Highly recommended superb knot strength! Also great off the rocks
When chasing line class I trust Platypus pre-test. Sent a sample to IGFA USA for testing as part of a recent record application, all samples passed under as advertised. 💯
Not happy with this line, being Aussie made I thought it would be excellent. I've had enough wind knots that I've lost about 40m of line to stop it from continuing to wind knot , now it's stopped wind knotting and now the line wraps around the rod tip after reeling in your bait, lure or fish and is very frustrating. I'd love to take it back but how do I even prove that it happens.I'd love if anaconda could reach out to me.Pros, it is very very strong and decently made line apart from the faulrs above .Casts very very well when it doesn't do as above haha . Great product and it lives up to its name. A strong and reliable fishing line suitable for all round fishing and the pretest strengths are very accurate. I use this line with different strength on all my reels, I would recommend this brand of line for all round general fishing.
