I questioned whether or not to buy a new stand for the PS5, yet I am glad that I did. The original, plastic, stand is simply too cheap looking for a console like the PS5. Having ordered the new vertical stand, it simply makes the presentation of your console look much classier in the living room.Not only this, but there are noticeable space savings compared to the old stand, with me gaining at least an extra inch of storage around the TV again thanks to a sleeker design of this stand. I'm really glad I bought this; it looks great, is a more secure fit even on the older console model, and frees up just a little more space around the TV 👍

I recently had the need to place my original 1000 edition PS5 in vertical orientation and though the plastic stand which was originally included with the console did a fine job holding it horizontally I wasn't entirely happy with how it secured the console vertically. Luckily this Vertical Stand had just been released by Sony and since the base ring appeared to be metal I thought I would give it try. The stand has a good weight to it and the base ring feels like metal and not coated plastic. Installation with the included adapter and screw was super simple taking only a few minutes and secured to the original 1000 edition PS5 to my satisfaction. This seems both like an upgrade and better option than the originally included plastic adapter for vertical orientation.

I wanted save some desk space so I made the decision to purchase the vertical stand for my new PS5 slim. The build quality and aesthetics of the stand surprise me. $30 is a little expensive but still worth every penny in my opinion. If you’re going to position your ps5 in vertically, you should buy this vertical stand as it elevated properly on the base. Don’t let your console rest on the plate covers. Spend the money and protect your investment while making it look awesome :)

Recently I picked up the PS5 Slim disk version, and since I wanted to place it vertically, I thought having a stand would help keep it from tipping. Well after taking the system out of the box, it made me realize that this was not really needed, as the disk version is wide enough to stand on its own with little wiggle. For owners of the diskless version, this is more necessary AND it looks decent attached to the bottom.On the underside of the ring are little foam pads that help prevent sliding of the console and it also works with the original PS5 via an included adapter. I honestly don’t get why people are so mad about this not coming with the new PS5. I had the original PS5 and the stand thst came with that one was just ok. I bought the new slim PS5 after it was released. I just got this new stand and wow this is a premium product. Way better than the original stand and well worth $30 for it. Also, its juat $30 dollars. If $30 is too much then you probably don’t need to be buying a PS5 in the first place.
It deserves a 5* but Best Buy gets a 1* due to it's new reward policy. I recommend the product but just not buying from "Best" Buy. No longer do you get BB points for purchasing items. You have to use BB credit card now. for points. Oh, and member status? You have to PAY to be a member with real benefits. It used to be based on how much you spent at BB. There IS NO incentive now to buy only from BB. I will only buy online from them if the price is significantly lower (doubtful that will be the case) than Amazon, etc. BB lost a 30+ year customer.

Sony, you know exactly what you're doing here, and it's called a scam. I have never once purchased video game console in my entire life that looked different than what was on the front of the box. I'm telling you right now, there are going to be a ton of parents outraged after they find out that their kid hasn't hooked up the PS5 console yet, because he or she can't seem to find where the stand is. Then when the mother or father finally sees the fine print, "Vertical Stand - Sold Separately." when in fact on the front of the box it is shown vertical, it's going to be a total PR nightmare Sony. I don't care how big the words say "Vertical Stand - Sold Separately" the pictures presented on the box show a PS5 Slim in the vertical position, which is incorrect. Sony, the only way you can legally present pictures of your new PlayStation 5 Slim in the vertical position, can be only done if you run a PlayStation 5 Slim + Vertical Stand - Bundle Edition that of course you're going to run in probably next 3 months. If the console is being sold without the words vertical stand bundle, that means the console must be presented only with pictures in the newly designed horizontal position. Again, if it does not have the words Vertical Stand Bundle, on it then this is wrong. To be honest, I don't know how there hasn't been a single lawyer on this case yet. It's a slam dunk. Sony, you have 36 days from the time of this writing, or to make it easier for you, Monday December 25th (Christmas Day) to make things right, and offer everyone who was fooled a free vertical stand, or your stocks are going to plummet. Sony, you need to throw out all of your current packaging and produce new packaging with photos of the PS5 Slim in the horizontal position. Once the PS5 Slim packaging is corrected, with the proper photos in the new horizontal configuration, then you have permission to throw as many advertisements showing your console in the vertical position, on the back of the box, with the words sold separately. Look at the photos below. 2 Spider-Man Bundles, 2 totally different PlayStation 5 consoles, and only 1 is missing a stand. If this is not misleading, then I don't know what is. Sony, this is wrong, and you know it. Sony, make this right before you have a class action lawsuit. This is false advertising and is illegal in the US.
A little pricey, but worth the money. I had it in the horizontal postiton using the included feet that came with the slim Spiderman 2 disc bundle. It would slide around when placing in a game or ejecting the disc, or plugging in the charging cable for the controller. Its not only stable now, being vertical it helps dissipate the heat better. For anyone with an original PS5, there is an included bracket for using this stand.
