The fact that this item did not fit was the least of my concerns. It looked good and I could have just exchanged it for a larger size. However, what concerned me the most was the odor after I opened the package. It was not perfumy, more like a chemical. At first, the odor was light, and then it got a little stronger. So, I placed the item back in its original packet and wrapped it in a plastic bag. Even the Fedex rep was repelled by the odor when I dropped my package off for return shipping. No piece of clothing, especially undergarments, should ever have that kind of odor - no matter what!!! This shopping experience added to my frustrations with Walmart online shopping. (FYI, this is not the first time that I have purchased an item from Walmart with an unnatural odor.)

This 18 Hour Custom Flex Back Wire-free Bra by Playtex is the best overall support bra I've ever bought; I have ordered this bra many times over the years. The convenience of a front hook bra is so important to me since I have arthritis & back problems. I also like the support it gives me with 7 hooks (I think) & it doesn't shift around like some bras do. The Flex Back helps support my back also & helps remind me to sit up straight. Also, the cups are cut high enough that I don't spill out of the top. The front hooks are a little difficult to hook. When I hook several, 1 or 2 hooks un-hook and I have to start over again! Beautiful and comfortable

I just love this brand. It supports me well with the wide stretchy bands that go around it. It's easy to take off, with the front hooks, which I love. It also has wide shoulder straps, so it feels comfortable on your shoulder. I wish more colors were available. I go quite often looking for different colors then white, in my size, but I don't see it yet. Please make available in different colors for size 48DD. Thanks for a beautiful and comfortable product. I'll keep buying, that's for sure.

Happy in Front closure !

Playtex 18 Hour 4695 Front-Close Wirefree Bra with Flex Back has been my favorite bra for many years. I converted from the 4693 back closure. After an almost 10-12hr work day I didn’t want to fight the back snaps any longer. The I center of the front closure should is a Genius!I love the range of colors for 4693 maybe Playtex would consider expanding colors for 4695.Just a thought!

May have to size down

I bought this model in years past and the fit was very different. I found that these have cups that pucker no matter how much the straps are adjusted. I tried the size 38DDD and the 38DD, and they both did the same thing. I might have to go down to a 36DD? I was glad to find a support bra in black and love their posture bra model that fits perfectly in a 38DD. On the plus side, I do like that the hooks on this model are bigger than the ones on their posture bra model. It makes hooking and unhooking a lot easier.

No flexibility to adjust the band size.

Bought these to try for my elderly mother. Very nice looking and well made. Note about sizing however - because it is front hook you do not have the ability to adjust the fit around the torso. We need to return our first order (in the size she has worn for years) and order the next size up. Keeping our fingers crossed. Also wish it had a few less hooks in the front - maybe that’s necessary for secure closure??, but is a little tricky for a senior citizen to manipulate

Not great for large breasted or older women

Does not work well for large breasts (DDD) and larger. It was extremely difficult to get the tiny little hooks into the tiny closures in the front of this bra. It is very difficult even to see the hooks and especially the closures which were hidden by fabric. Large breasts get in the way of your hands. If you have any arthritis in your hands, please beware. The cups of this bra are very pointed. However, after getting it hooked, the support was good and the fit overall was true to size.

Sizing is off and gives you torpedo boobs.

The sizing isn’t right. I wear a 40D and I was swimming in the cups but the strap was quite tight. I thought about just exchanging for a C cup but then comes the problem with the pointed fabric. Remember Madonna from the 80s with the pointy boob costumes? Yeah. That’s what it’s like. I actually had a nice little laugh looking at myself in the mirror. Who on earth thinks women want their boobs to look like cones? So if you’re going to buy this bra, size down in the cup and up on the strap and go on with your pointy boobed self.

This bra works for me!

I have been wearing this style bra for years and years. It's the one that fits ME best. Love the shoulder straps and front closure. My shoulder will not allow me to reach behind my back to hook a bra. My body shape appreciates the shape and style of this bra. My only real complaint is that the lowest hook will sometime "bite" into my flesh. But I strongly suspect that it's my body shape in that area that is the problem and not the bra. Regardless, I highly recommend that you try it to see if it fits you well, too. If not, keep up your search! If so, then join me in making this style bra part of your under-wardrobe. This Bra Is supposed to be my size but, runs at least one or two sizes smaller.The front closure measures 7 ½ inches long which covers from the middle ofmy chest way down to my stomach and hard to fasten in the front.This may work for someone that is taller from waist to shoulder.
