During the winter months, instead of squeezing into grip pants, I opt for these. The belts are stylish but a pain to redo every time. It’s worth it. Like all shoes (and skin) repetitive tricks will result in patches missing. Great for hiding knee pads as well. I wear an 11 in regular closed toe heels, 10 in flat shoes.

These boots are epic! I have them displayed on a shelf in my living room because let's face it, they're basically a work of art. They're actually pretty comfortable. But I will say they're a bigger leap than you'd think from the 7 inch pleaser boots. The platform itself is much taller (therefore making the actual heel lift a little less tall) but that makes it slightly more wobbly, so be careful if this is your first pair of 8 inches... They don't come in the mail laced up, so be ready to spend 45 minutes doing them up for the first time. These boots WORK for those who have thick thighs. I've been searching for a pair for a competition and came across these beauties. I sized up like in my normal pleaser boots but I didn't really need to, given I have narrow feet. This shoe is so well made and comfortable, just be prepared to lace them up when you get them! Once they're laced you don't need to do it again. Love how adjustable they are and even with thick thighs, the stretch patent fabric with the extra long ribbon laces means any size can fit these unlike the other pleaser thigh highs. Shipping was super fast even though they weren't in stock. Customer service was incredible too.

If you’re on the fence about buying this shoe, have no fear, just do it!! These shoes are a show stopper!! I teach pole dancing so I was looking for a shoe that I could perform both low flow and aerial spin. These shoes are very grippy so you don’t have to worry about sliding when you’re up high performing dangerous tricks. The only downside is that they don’t slide well on the floor when performing low flow moves (I.e: any transitions using your knees.) I bought the shiny faux leather boots so the other material may be better suited for sliding & gliding. Otherwise, very happy with this purchase.
So being an active dancer, 5'3 with pretty thick legs, the ribbon laces that come with were not enough. I luckily had some mid calf round laces from another pair of pleasers to put in these boots to the first buckle then the ribbon the rest of the way. Also they gap a lil from knee up, between the tongue and the rivets.Hope the pictures give better insight!
Absolutely love the look and style of this boot! The lace-up aspect allows you to make sure it fits every curve of your leg, however, I have to pull it completely flush together at my ankles and then wider than the tongue on my calves and thighs. At least I can wear the matching color underneath to disguise the gaps. Also ran out of lace about 1-2 gussets from the top, but not a big deal. I typically wear a "wide calf" boot and size 10W in general, but sizing up to 11 fit my foot. Hopefully they hold up well!
Super sexy boots but they don't have any stretch to them. There are adjustable belts along them but I found that they did not fit my calves very well and were super tight and cutting off circulation. The laces are a little short and I wish the tongue was a little wider at the top of the boots so that my thick thighs did not show between where the tongue meets the rest of the boot.I can't say too much about the walking comfort and wearable-ness to them as I was facing a lot of discomfort already. I will need to return them as they just don't fit me well.For reference, I am considered mid-size (little smaller than full plus size) I'm 5'8" and wear a size 14 pant.
These boots I had gotten in a size 8. Typically in regular street shoes I wear 7.5. These fit really snug on the feet which was ok but even though I had the strings pulled as tight as possible I still delt with the thigh part sliding down. Almost all night I’m sliding them back up. Sometimes after a stage set they look like leg warmers by the time I’m walking down the stairs & off. I love the boot’s just wish I didn’t need mondo sized thighs just for them to look good and stay on. Also the boots came defective and are actually missing a shoe string hole so when it came time to put laces in the boots, they were uneven
I am extremely disappointed that these should do not fit thick thighs or calves. In fact, there are zero 8 inch pole shoes offered by Pleaser that are thick friendly, which is the competition standard. As the largest pole shoe manufacturer and distributor, thicker bodies should be accounted for in fitting. Thicker bodies professionally dance and have the same needs.

I feel like a combination of Olga Koda, Polina Larovski, and Edward Scissorhands in these boots. I will say that the first time you lace them up takes forever, but after that you are good to go. They come with a satin lace, but I recommend getting a sturdier one (e.g. derby laces are great). The only real complaint I have is that Pleaser isn't super consistent with their sizing; I like my boots to fit snug so I had to get a heel insert to get it where I wanted it. That's more of a pleaser problem tho, and not a shoe-specific problem.
