This came together beautifully. It was very time consuming to put together and I made a few mistakes but was able to figure it out eventually. It was hard to determine what screws and bolts were which at times but I used a cm ruler and was able to match them to the type. My son loves it and it seems to be good quality and I had all the parts. We stained it to match our deck and added a steering wheel and it’s so cute. Definitely worth the time and frustration.

Recently bought this for my grandsons first birthday. Fairly easy to put together although bolt head sizes change alot....also the swing side needs to be higher. My 10 months old grandsons feet touched the ground. We had to change the carabiners to shorter ones and also adjust the knots on the swing seat. My grandson is not a tall child so no way a much older child would be able to use the swing. Telephone is old fashioned and rather large for a small child. We have not fitted. Also was cracked. Also not sure why the swing leg frames are cut short and you have to attach a 3 inch extra bit on the bottom. This is a supplied piece with instructions to attach to make the legs longer. I guess this a cost cutting exercise at the manufacturing stage. Value for money - not ... MoreRecently bought this for my grandsons first birthday. For the price of £170 it's great value as I haven't found anything come near in terms of brand (plum is very good and has lots of variety, well established), although I must admit I was shocked as the instructions were great and clear to begin with but half way through building its like the manual writer got lazy and stopped putting in details. Some of the washers are large and small and it doesn't specify which ones to use but later on if you chose the wrong ones you realise. It took me 8 hours to make but if the instructions were a little more detailed as they were at the beginning it would be fine. The final product is great though but I would say its perfect for 12 to 18 months, although it can be used upto the age of 3. Its smaller than I thought but the swing ... MoreFor the price of £170 it's great value as I haven't found anything come near in terms of brand (plum is very good and has lots of variety, well established), although I must admit I was shocked as the instructions were great and clear to begin with but half way through building its like the manual writer got lazy and stopped putting in details. All in all I'm happy with my product as its perfect for my little one to build confidence before going out with the big kids on the park play area! Price is amazing, as I'm writing this they are all sold out!

The price point on this is similar to other swings on the market. I ordered as ive never had any issues with aldi products before. This however was a different story. Firstly the quality of the fixings was a disgrace with 10 screws snapping or being chewed before we had finished step 3 of the instructions. We eventually bought our own screws which were much better. Additionally some of the pieces were pre drilled whilst others you had to measure yourself as such the build took a long time. Once built it is very short, appreciate this was mentioned in other reviews but I didn’t really appreciate quite how short. I would have given a much higher score if only the fittings where just a bit better quality and was easier to build as once it’s up my son does love it ... MoreThe price point on this is similar to other swings on the market. I would have given a much higher score if only the fittings where just a bit better quality and was easier to build as once it’s up my son does love it (although given the height Im not sure how long he will get use out of it for).As it’s now in the sale it’s probably more appropriately priced. Unfortunately this has put me off ordering anything similar in the future.
As in previous reviews the swing is much too close to the floor for a child any older than 6 months as their feet touch the floor. I also don’t like how the swing is constructed with no solid bar between the legs only a material seat belt meaning an older child could easily wriggle out as my daughter has. The bar for them told hold also is fixed abs rides up. Basically the swing isn’t practical at all. The rest of the set however is lovely, perfect size slide and steps for a toddler. My daughter loves the phone too! Took a while to set up and wood had to be treated. Overall I would probably go for something with a better swing as this makes it not worth the money.
Finally a little swing set that can entertain both my kids but small enough for my 6 month old, I think this will be better when he is 9 months - 1 year and it’s great as it doesn’t take up to much space, sits nicely next to my daughters playhouse. He can only go on the swing right now but she enjoyed climbing up, sliding, playing on the chalk board and using the play phone! It took my husband and 4 year old helper approx. 4 hours to make, not bad as that’s normally how long something wooden would take to make! It looks great and quality seems really good! We had to adjust the swing slightly using the rope under the swing but otherwise all good!
The quality on this item is a very high standard which will last my children until they put grow out of it. Putting it together isn't for someone who has probably not DIY'd before or has littler experience in putting together sometime a little more complicated. It did take my partner and his father a good few hours and a lot of different tools but as they are people who do things like this we had all the necessary tools and was reasonably straight forward. We read other reviews and can see why some people found this difficult, it's not for beginners or new DIYers. However, the quality is excellent and my children love it so much! We will be treating to wood to keep it in a good condition and for longevity.I have seen that Plum sell something very similar directly ... MoreThe quality on this item is a very high standard which will last my children until they put grow out of it. The value on this is superb for the excellent quality. Highly recommended this item for small children endless hours of play!
Very poor quality. At least 10 of the wooden pieces were cracked, one had a gap of at least a 1/4”. Many of the pre-drilled holes did not line up. The wall pieces are supposed to fit flush against the top of the side walls but they all were about 3” too long so could be by properly secured to the top rail. The directions are so poorly written with such bad diagrams that it caused so much confusion and redoing many of the pieces to get the piece in the correct direction. If this was around $50 it might be worth it but at $300 it is ridiculously overpriced. Spend an another couple hundred dollars to get a higher quality one. If I could give this 0 stars I would.
We bought this in anticipation of our daughter’s second birthday. It took around 4 hours to build but I did have the power tools to speed things up.The verdict....My daughter loves the slide, the telephone and the little chalkboard.Sadly, she was really upset with the swing as it’s far too low to the ground for a toddler. Her feet were flat to the ground and didn’t feel safe when I tried to push her; not many 1 - 2 year olds really have the strength to hold their legs up to accommodate this.My gripe with the swing appears to be a common complaint with other reviewers.I wound NOT recommend this unless your toddler can overcome the issues with the low swing.
We experienced the following issues with this item:• Instructions were unclear and difficult to follow and my partner had to undo previous steps several times to get the following steps done properly.• One of the planks had the countersinks drilled all the way through, meaning that plank could not be properly secured.• The steps could not be fitted properly and as they came, they boughed the entry point to the top level. He had to find additional bits of wood to fit the stairs properly.• There were no pilot holes which made the item very difficult to put together, he had to measure for each hole, much as if we were making a DIY activity centre! Now, after barely a month it is covered in mould. I may be a beginner but I was not aware that the wood had not ... MoreWe experienced the following issues with this item:• Instructions were unclear and difficult to follow and my partner had to undo previous steps several times to get the following steps done properly.• One of the planks had the countersinks drilled all the way through, meaning that plank could not be properly secured.• The steps could not be fitted properly and as they came, they boughed the entry point to the top level.
