I really like this personal microderm from PMD. I have been using it once a week for 4weeks (not the 8-12 weeks suggested by PMD) and am already seeing positive results! It does a good job of exfoliating my skin. I only use it on my face but it can be used on your body. I have noticed improvements in the overall appearance of my skin. Great skincare tool for congested skin! I have dry to combination skin that is sensitive and prone to breakouts and this has cleared my skin and did wonders for it. I love that you can go as harsh or light as you want with the attachments and it’s definitely a must off to renew your skin. I use this once a week instead of using scrubs or harsh exfoliants in my skin and it has done wonders for my skin. It also keeps those hard to get blackheads at bay! I have had mine for years so it’s definitely worth the investment

The PMD Personal Microderm Pro Device really packs a punch! Clinical grade exfoliation in an at home device is seriously amazing! It comes with multiple “strength” exfoliation heads, as well as a larger size option for the body. There is a bit of a learning curve, so make sure to follow the directions exactly, or you’ll end up irritating and being too harsh on your face. The one downfall is the cord! It would be so much better as a battery operated/rechargeable device! It gets in the way and makes your movements feel a bit awkward.

Amazing!

So I used this product for about 4 weeks. I do it once a week. I have pictures of before I started using it and after the 4 weeks. The results speak for themselves. I am a nurse so I spend a lot of time wearing a mask and because of that my skin started breaking out so bad. I have tried so many skincare products but nothing seemed to really get rid of any acne. Once I added this tool into my skincare routine, I am amazed at what a difference it has made. It is easy to use and only takes a few minutes to do a treatment on your face and it leaves my face feeling so soft. I feel like my skincare products absorb so much better now. I know it is expensive but I think if you have stubborn acne it is definitely something worth trying.

I stick to the lighter discs because I don't want to risk looking like I have rug burn all over my face.Now for the long boring stuff that I'm nitpicking about and the reason why I only gave it 3 stars... I have a feeling that the reason there is a lot of 1 star reviews saying that this device was horrible, left a lot of bruising from the suction or deep abrasions on the skin is because it was left in one spot for too long or run over the same spot multiple times. When it comes to this device... Less is more. Another gripe that I have is the fact that this device retails for about $200 and they can't even throw in a case or even a zipper pouch to keep everything together. Meanwhile if you spend $100 more you can get everything that comes in this kit but that device is running off a rechargeable battery, it has a third screw top tip to accommodate the smaller nooks and crannies, 2 more disks and a hard case to hold everything. Why do we need to be charged $100 more to get a rechargeable battery and a couple more pieces of plastic? Anyway... I will stop grumbling now.Overall this product does exactly what it says but again be quick with your swipes, don't hover or go over the same spot repeatedly and make sure to moisturize at the very least afterwards to avoid bruising and abrasions.

Great Tool - YouTube Tutorials Needed!

Bought my PMD Pro a couple of years ago and think it’s a great tool, if used correctly and cautiously. Personally, I didn’t think the PMD info + video were helpful and I’m so glad that I spent so much time watching YouTube tutorials and reading reviews because even after all of that, there is a definite learning curve. Without proper instruction and knowledge of what disc to start with for your skin type, it could cause more pain and issues for your skin My skin is combination but can be a little sensitive. I only use the gray discs. For me, that’s as powerful as I want to try and still see a great deal of benefit from. It’s possible that if I were to use a more powerful disc, my results might be better but it’s not worth the risk. I’d recommend starting with green and moving to the gray discs if, and only if, your skin tolerates it well. If you’re not experiencing any results — you can see the sloughed off dead skin! — then move to the blue, and so forth. I think there should be more instructions and better PMD videos for instructions. I like the fact that there’s body attachments but I’ve rarely been motivated enough to use it to comment on results. I do find that attachment great, however, for pedicures especially for foot heels and dry spots. Overall, I’m very pleased with my investment and would recommend watching tutorials to see how it’s properly and effectively used prior to purchasing. If I hadn’t have done that, I may have really disliked this tool and possibly even harmed my skin. I’m so glad Sephora CA is finally selling the discs too!

Great and saves so much money

Everyone who is using this incorrectly is obviously dense. You shouldn't hover over your skin, that is how you injure your skin. Too many people rush improvement and think they will speed up results by going over their face multiple times. DONT. Everyone is commenting "I'll let the professionals do it" the professionals aren't going over your skin 5 times in 1 spot....I've used this product for 3 years and it has significantly improved my textured skin, acne marks, and deep scars in my face. I have used pretty much all the discs. If you follow directions and use as instructed and be patient over the course of 4+ months you will see improvement. It's also great as a once a week exfoliating tool

My skin looks great!

Alright so, I will start off by saying that I work at a regenerative medicine clinic and I have my blood drawn frequently so I can do PRP masks (pretty much a vampire facial) and that alone has done wonders for my skin as far as evening my tone, reducing wrinkles and plumping my skin. But, it didn't really do much to take the texture out of my face. I've started using the PMD Pro followed by PRP or another serum and I will say my skin looks phenomenal. Most of the texture is gone. I've noticed since using it that I have less blackheads and my pores have shrunk so much. It has also saved my very chapped lips! My mom got one while they were on sale for $50. She loves it. I normally use the slowest speed on my device anyway so if you're wanting the Pro for the 2 speeds you may not really need it. She doesn't mind the caps on the classic but personally I think the smooth glide caps are better.My biggest complaint is how difficult it was to find some decent instructions. The video they have posted is pretty vague and as someone who had never had a microdermabrasion before I didn't feel confident using the device after watching the one video. I later found some more detailed instructions on the PMD website but I really had to dig to find them and even then they weren't great. It also doesn't come with instructions in the box. Thankfully there are several people on youtube who cover some tips and tricks for using it. I like to shower or steam my face before hand-then dry it with a towel and then use my device. I feel like using it on completely dry skin is a little irritating. Also, to save on discs I will occasionally do an acid peel every other week instead of my PMD and that seems to work just fine but I just really enjoy using the pen. It is nice that you can save on the price of discs with a subscription too because they are a little pricey considering how many uses you can get out of them.Overall, I am super happy with my device! I love how it makes my skin feel and I look forward to using it every week/every other week.

I always make sure to follow up with facial sunblock when I go out in the day, EVERY DAY, because this device is exfoliating your skin and making it more vulnerable, you NEED to protect it from the UVA/UVB rays. I use The Ordinary's Glycolic Acid toner at night only, to help shed the dead skin cells I may have missed with this device, but in the day time, I use Thayer's Witch Hazel Toner since it's more calming on the skin. These products have been sinking into my skin a LOT better since I started using this device. My combo of products, with using this device once a week, has made my skin significantly softer and smoother, less texturized, and I'm starting to notice my pores, particularly the big ones, are slightly reducing in size, so WOO!---If you follow the directions correctly when using this device, use a good combo of skin products after, and you give it a chance, you may see results.
