I had a blast building this kit. It's a touch more difficult than the Pikachu kit and I that's what I was looking for.I used to do a ton of gunpla when I was a kid so these Pokemon kits are an easy way to get back into it without diving deep into a major hobby commitment.
Unfortunately the eyes are stickers and keep trying to pop off. If they do, there is an outline for the eyes in the plastic, so it might be better to just paint them on. The only other part with stickers is between the legs and tail so the dark purple matches. Other than that, it looks great. Fully posable and easy to put together. I only had one issue in the beginning where I got one piece backwards, but figured it out. This is from someone who never builds models.
It was the perfect addition to my boyfriends birthday gifts! It didn’t involve tools and it’s the perfect size to add to his collection of Pokémon things in a little way. Mewtwo is one of his favorite and the Bandai model kits are something he loves so it was the perfect combo! I even look forward to putting the next one together!
This is a fun set. Takes time and patience to put together. You cant just as easily break out all the pieces without looking like the pikachu set, you will want to reference what part number they all are.
It was great putting this model kit together. The Japanese instructions made it slightly hard to read but luckily the illustrations were easy to follow and the pieces snap together quite easily. If you love Pokémon and model kits, then this is the product for you.
Bought this as a prize for our Pokemon Club's upcoming tournament in April. Expect it to be very well received! Arrived in a timely manner and MewTwo will be a popular model, I am sure.
He snaps together nicely,no glue required just like the box says! He's also surprisingly pose-able, which caught me off guard. Looks nice on my shelf, and he does the arm thing when you wiggle his tail. Very neat, would recommend.
Bought this for my 7-year-old daughter... we also got the Pikachu and the Eevee. These are all awesome models. She needed a little bit of help on this one, but still did most of it on her own.The tail keeps falling off, but I’m not sure if that’s something with the product, or a result of how she put it together (like perhaps forcing it or something).
