Best Feature(s):Read many positive reviews online.Value For Money:Yes definitely.Polk Audio HTS10 brown subwoofer with 1 year warranty ordered and received within 2 hours! Excellent service by seller & receipt was also sent via Shopee chat. Was researching for a not too big, powerful & pricey sub & came across this. The specs met my needs & it's in between the choice of a lower priced sub & the HTS12. Looking forward to try it later tonight.

After spending way too much time researching and testing powered subs, I finally ended going with the HTS10. The specifications looked on point as far as frequency response. 30hz at -3db is immediately apparent (in a good way) and it still goes down to 25hz audibly which is the best you will find in this price range. I'd much prefer it to hit 20hz, but given I live in an apartment I'm sure my neighbors wouldn't like to be forced to feel my music anyways. That being said, I was hoping it would still give me all the depth of bass without having to crank the volume on the sub and it does just that. I originally bought the Polk PSW10 and while it was indeed good for the price, it was barely audible at 30hz and had a huge resonant loudness at 50hz which just would not do. The HTS10 is hands down worth paying a little more than double for. You won't be disappointed with this sub.

Excellent quality, size, and effective sub!

Excellent shipping and product quality. I bought two of these for my home PCs to enjoy hi res streaming audio, plus bonus call conferencing. Paired with NAD C388 BluOS and Polk L200s for awesome sounds streaming, or watching music videos. They are the right size, and have enough punch make music rich. Thank you Polk Audio!

Great sub for smaller home surround system
28 January 2022

This sub replaced an 8" unit included in an early Polk home surround system (RM6750) in a smallish basement space. The older unit had developed a hum and lacked smooth low-end presence. The HTS 10 is intuitively responsive to inputs - accurate for jazz bass, stunning when called for in movies. Unfussy placement due to down-firing port; I have it in an open-backed cabinet. Very compatible with Signature S15s that replaced the tiny RM6750 fronts speakers, which moved to front presence.

Great sub, even looks good
18 March 2021

Bought 2 of these to match my Polk S15 main and S35 center channel. Needed 2 due to the size of my open floorplan. So far very happy with the sound, still tweaking a little bit to match the acoustics of the room and placement, but overall for a 10" sub its very capable and responsive. No port noise from the design and punches very low. Don't read too much into the power rating (100w Continuous with a peak of 200w), I think the efficiency of the driver and amp, as well as the power port design make up for the somewhat low power. Low the aesthetics as well, very good looking since it has to sit out in the open, and build quality is excellent.Bottom line: looks great, sounds great and is compact enough to not overwhelm your space. Plays down to 25/30 HZ. No complaints

Great subwoofer for the right price
9 May 2020

For those with limited budget when this subwoofer is on sale it's a steal. I wish I could get HTS 12 but they are massive and only HTS 10 was fitting my limited space. Sure there are better subwoofers out there but they are also a lot more expensive.Lots of good reviews everywhere was a good sign. Really nice esthetics with slightly rounded edges and accurate deep bass. It took some tweaking but now it is not overwhelming and it hits these low tones without any booming effects. It works really well in movies and 5.1 concerts. Music probably not as good since I found that sometimes when I checked the same musical track with only my Polk tower speakers (Monitor 75T) it sounds sometimes better and more detailed without the subwoofer. Music probably not as good since I found that sometimes when I checked the same musical track with only my Polk tower speakers (Monitor 75T) it sounds sometimes better and more detailed without the subwoofer. It could be the crossover and certain music. It is hard to say.One issue - it does not have a permanent ON switch; only AUTO and 12v Trigger. 5.1 sources weren't the problem, it would switch subwoofer on every time no matter the volume. However low volume stereo sources would keep subwoofer dormant often. At night time I found out that subwoofer would stay off most of the time. I understand that with low volume it was barely audible any way but still that's not the right way.Solution: I used the 12 V trigger RCA cable from my Yamaha receiver and now subwoofer turns on every time when I power on my receiver. Also regular STEREO 3.5 jack worked just fine. No need to use mono jack, it is really hard to buy one nowadays. One star off for this annoying feature.

Hits like a 12 inch sub
17 January 2022

Using the New Denon S660H (2021model) receiver. This sub hits better than most 12 inch i have had in the past. I also added Polk xt60 floor speakers and have a Polk CS-10 center. This combo really sounds good while watching 4K movies with doby atmos and or doby ditial surround 5.1. Note: a friend and i noticed that on a 5.2 receiver, the height sound from the doby atmos i coming through the rear surround speaker.

Ok subs
10 October 2020

They sounded better in the store. As other reviews, I agree they sound a little boomy vs more expensive subs. I got the 10's b/c was hoping for more crisp sound vs a 12. Plus the 12's boxes are big and take up space. Maybe the 12's would be the better choice. I purchased 2 10" subs. One for each side of room. I would say two of these would match my 16+yr old 10" paradigm sub that started failing. Two subs are the way to go. The bass is more even throughout the room. But for under $300 EA, The price was ok. I wouldn't pay more than that. I think they are better suited for music play vs movies. One thing I don't like is when you plug in through RCA cable or AFE, it dissables the crossover frequency adjust on back of sub. So you can't fine tune crossovers. Once and a while I get some people voices through the sub vs just towers. My denon amp won't adjust lower than 80hz.I would save money and get higher quality next time. Pay a little more for better subs. But for lower end subs they work.

Perfect sub at perfect price
15 December 2021

I love the Polk HTS10 subwoofer. Perfect for both music and movies and fits right in with my older Klipsch k series speakers. 1st one I bought had issues with it not coming back on after it went into standby mode. Sent it back for a full refund, but didnt hesitate to buy another one. Second one works fantastic and sounds amazing. If you cant lay out big money for a high end subwoofer, then check out the Polk Audio HTS10 or HTS12.

This thing is a monster

When this thing showed up at my door, I couldn't believe the size of the box. This sub is pretty huge compared to a 12 year old Sony 8" sub it replaced, it pretty much devoured it. The bass is smooth and feels natural, not boomy like the Sony did. Sometimes I can't tell its there. Its a very beautiful sub, looks great and matches the S55 very well.I am not used to the auto off/on feature as the old sub was always on. My receiver a 10 year old Pioneer does not have a 12v trigger out. I will have to modify something to get it to turn on when the receiver is powered on.My solution to this was set my fronts to large and use the subwoofer Plus setting, therefore always directing bass to the sub.I now have Polks all around, S55 up front, T50 in the rear and now this ... MoreWhen this thing showed up at my door, I couldn't believe the size of the box. Next I will change out the Bose VCS-10 as it now sounds hollow for some reason. Polk S30 up next.. By the way I also got it for a steal here at Electronic Express. Always noticing items at at lower price than the competitors. Just have to keep window shopping.
