Fantastic sound at a great price! Perfect for our needs. We LOVE that it is integrated with google chrome cast. Especially since chrome cast audio was discontinued. We easily added it to our existing home speaker groups. Customer service was amazing after an issue with the speaker remote pairing. Everything is working perfectly now and it sounds sooo much better than our tv speakers did. We also appreciate the different settings for tv vs music to be able to amplify voice over background sound. Very nice feature and has helped me tremendously since sometimes I have a hard time hearing what people are saying. We are very happy with our purchase. Highly recommend!

This is a capable sound bar. I certainly got what I paid for and I am saying this in a positive way.It was easy to set up via the optical input; very little thought required in this regard. Generally, if you have a satellite such as Dish, you can jack in directly to the output on the box. If, however, you use a streamer such as a Roku device along with your satellite, you will need to use the output on the TV itself. Either way, it is quick. As for the sound, it is pretty darn good- far better than what the TV itself will ever be able to provide. The dialog will be bright and clear. The bass will be richer and apparent VS just using the TV speakers. Pairing the sub was instant and effortless. So, this is a great sound bar system for casual listening- you should be ... MoreThis is a capable sound bar. Do not buy. 2x defective. Replaced the first speaker & subwoofer because the subwoofer was constantly cutting in and out. Assumed it was a one-time bug. Ordered a new one (under warranty) and quickly began having the same exact issue. These speakers do not work, don't waste your time or money.

I bought this refurbished model at a significant cost savings over a new unit (whose reviews were very good). I'm happy with the quality of the finish and build of the speaker, and the sound that it produces; more than loud enough to replace my weak LG SJ8 soundbar for my 65" LG TV. I really appreciate the sound settings and voice enhancement levels too. The only annoying experience I have is the volume control increments (a loud knocking sound with each step up or down) is too loud and unnecessary; this feature needs an update to mute the sound. The only thing that surprised me was the horrible shape of the shipping box that the bar came it. It looked like it had been through a war and kicked around the street. Room filling sound! Great bass (if the woofer is positioned correctly in the corner, as recommended!)! Easy to setup and easy to use!!! Im giving 4 out if 5 stars because for $300, the sound could be more impressive! But overall good deal!
Got this with a great deal when Best Buy started to carry it. I am a polkie with polk in my theater room as well so i like Polk sound. This is being used with a 42” tv in a billiard room for background audio and tv. The chrome cast was really the deal cincher here for me. Sound quality is good not great but for this price point what I expected. No issues with sub pairing about 8’ away. Nice little unit when compared against the price of most other models with chrome cast for sure. Does not have its own app but works with google home. A little odd in that regard but nothing serious.
Overall satisfied with the sound bar. We compare this to the JBL sound bar at the same price point and preferred the Polk audio one. This works well with our TCL class 5 50-inch Roku TV. Main drawbacks are it doesn’t have a great display for the different modes and it’s difficult to understand which mode to use at certain times. There also doesn’t appear to be a default, “normal” mode. That said, the sound quality is excellent especially for music and streaming music apps. It also has a small footprint and it’s very easy to set up. It’s in a green so well with our TV using the HDMI ARC input.
Replaced a Vision Soundbar/Subwoffer/rear speaker combo (died) with this bar/woofer combo due to the good reviews. Set it up, sounded okay. The problem I have with it is it is always shutting off, if I pause my TV content, within about 2 or 3 minutes. I have to hold on to the Polk Remote to turn it back on AND wait for it to time back in. I did see on the internet, someone said you could suppress the auto turn off by pushing a couple of buttons, but that has to be done each time it is turned on. I also need it to control the volume as the HDMI option does not work. I have it hooked to a Samsung 56 inch 2019 TV HDMI/ARC port, and when I search for sound devices, the Sigma (HDMI) is displayed (sometimes). When I can select it, the system then drops that option and only gives me optical as a fallback to the speaker. I DID get it to connect once, but the next day it was gone. On a final note, I miss the rear speaker capability and understood this system would never do that, but with the control issues it makes it seem much worse.
I've been a Polk fan for years. Still using 26 year old towers and powered sub on my two-channel system. I'm probably not using this sound bar as conventionally as others. I'm using it as the sound system for my desktop computer in my office. It fits perfectly under the monitor shelf on my desk. The sub is tucked neatly under the desk. I have a Schiit Modi/Magni DAC and headphone stack that completes my system. The DAC stack is connected to my desktop soundcard via USB, and then from the DAC to the soundbar using the RCA connections. The DAC adds a huge difference. I can stream music using Tidal/SiriusXM/Amazon Music and it sounds fantastic. Deep bass and the DAC makes the soundbar sing. When streaming radio talk shows it is great for the voice presentation. Perfect setup for me. I just wanted to add that you don't have to use it specifically for your home theatre setup - you can also use it for two-channel audio/office use.
It sounds good when it works. Unfortunately, the bass cuts out fairly often and the only way to gwt the bass back is to turn it off and turn it back on. Rather annoying as it happens at least once a day. I have had it happen 3 times in 2 hours one night. One other annoying thing is that it doesn't always turn on when you turn the tv on as it should, so you have to pull the dedicated remote out to turn the power on.
