Love the look of a classic Bayport jacket. It is sewn with simplicity and taste, but at the same time I feel the excellent workmanship of the Ralph Lauren brand. This is a very comfortable cotton jacket that can be worn in Australia in spring, summer and autumn.

I was pleasantly surprised by this jacket,The item description didn't mention interior pockets:There are two, one on each side.There is an extra button under the left collar to hide the "throat tab" when not in use.There are no zippers on the pockets to scratch up my watch.Over all quality is surprisingly nice.Looks great!
Great color, as I got the yellow. It stands out, as yellow is a one and done color. You definitely do NOT wear anything else that's yellow with this on. It is a good jacket to wear in an air-conditioned room or movie theatre, as it provides the right amount of coverage without being too warm. It is not lined, so it is the ideal weight for cooler summer days and warmer spring nights. May be worn through early fall with the right sweater or sweatshirt. Fit is perfect. There are four pockets. Two outside and two inside, with the ones in the interior being a tad smaller, but you are able to fit keys, a small wallet, tickets, receipts, or change in there without a problem. It is a nice preppy looking basic, which should be a closet staple for most men.
I couldn’t believe my luck when I found that Ralph Lauren were among very few to actually cater for the ‘tall’ market! (And not just big and tall - which as we all know means “just big”!) I purchased this jacket in the sale and quite pleased with the find! However, when the jacket arrived it appears cheap quality materials (mass produced in China) paper thin, basic unlined and with naff interior pockets that don’t be fasten, and ill-fitting.Hugely disappointed in Ralph Lauren, I expected so much more from the brand, the quality and image I felt it promoted. I dread to think how many poor people paid the full ticket price! Needless to say I shall be returning this immediately!
The jacket is a nice style but very basic. Not necessarily bad, but no liner on the inside for example. It’s just a very simple item. You’re paying for the logo. What you see is all there is.
My only complaint about those jackets is they is run really small. I can wear those XXL Oxford button shirts and assume the sizing would be similar but the XXL fit jacket felt like a X Large. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️Ralph Lauren is leaving profit on the table because the average guy can’t fit these jackets.
Maybe my mistake but thought I was replacing like for like jacket. I was wrong. Really thin and not the quality I was expecting. Only thing I find with RL is the items vary so much as to where they are made and the materials are always different I find confusing and disappointing. Hey Ho just my opinion lol
I have returned the jacket. The seams are poorly made and impossible to press. You need a newcompany to make them as the one I got does not match the excellent quality of the past.
