Since the pandemic hit I've avoided dressing in anything any more formal than a plain t-shirt, but that changed once this shirt came into my life! It's a shirt that you can wear out at an evening with friends, in the office, or even at a wedding (I've done all 3!).I'm 5'11 and wear a large. The shirt is slightly slim fitted, but not so much that it feels snug - it still feels comfortable. The material is quiet thin, so can be a little translucent (if you get it in white). If you have dark skin and wear a light vest underneath the shirt, it will show through.

This is the second shirt of this type I've bought, the first one having lasted ten years or more. They seem expensive to buy initially but the material is high quality so they keep their appearance over multiple washes and wears. It is a wardrobe staple that has a timeless style, and always looks smart.
A high quality, versatile shirt that can be used for both casual and smart occasions. Slim fit, so it might not feel comfortable on all body shapes and for all activities, but it's a well-made product, no hassle to wash, that's durable and will continue looking good for a long time to come, offering decent value for money in the long run!

Disappointing presentation of a£90 top quality shirt which I returned and bought again direct from Ralph Lauren.Would not have taken much to show a bit of care.
I deliberately ordered this shirt as it was described as regular fit, but it turned up and it is slim fit. John Lewis need to change the description.
I wanted a classic Ralph Lauren white shirt and, frankly, the quality was abysmal. It looked like a damp dish rag and the quality of the cotton was very flimsy - far from the crisp look that I expected from a shirt of this price.
This slim fit shirt is beautifully made, and you can tell the quality as soon as you try it on.The fit and finish is really good, with button down collars and the colour (blue, in my case), really compliments jeans or trousers.Washing was easy and due to the material quality, ironing was pretty straightforward.I would recommend this shirt if you want a quality item that appears will last and look good for some time to come.
