After a few more seconds, I realize if this was a generic scent, then it would be in the Royal Palace of generic colognes. I would describe the scent as semi sweet, tasty, and calming. The scent is a little more on the light side but still bold enough for a dinner while wearing a tux; Inviting, yet not thirsty. I would specifically love to wear this at night time or out on a date. It’s light enough for summer time but bold enough for the fall and maybe early winter. The scent definitely incites formal and mature feelings. Polo scents have been a staple since high school when I was 11/12yrs old living in Nigeria. This falls right in line.

Received a free sample of the Ralph Lauren Red EDT and it’s a very interesting fragrance. When I spray the Ralph Lauren Red EDT on, it has a very fruity citrusy aroma and after turns into that woody masculine scent that gives out that manly sexiness we guys like to wear. Not an overpowering fragrance, however does have enough intensity that when someone comes up close, they always give a compliment. In a way it is good to have fragrances that have different intensities as you don’t want to make people dizzy with the aroma in small enclosures, and Red EDT is great in those smaller settings. I feel the fragrance lasts a couple of hours (4-6 hours), good enough for going out a for a while. This is a fragrance that I will be adding to my collection to wear on my evening outings and would definitely recommend (already have when asked what I’m wearing since I smell really good!).

Ralph Lauren Polo Red EDT smells great but not on me, it doesn't match my chemistry, unfortunately. The smell is unique almost like a musty cranberry but is very masculine. It goes on stong, mellows out but lasts all day without the need to re-apply. The Polo scent line is right up there with my top favorites of colonge brands. I will stick with Polo Blue myself but like I said, it smells great and it's just not for me. I think this scent would be best worn during the fall. If you're a colonge fanatic like myself or just like smelling great, I would give it a shot.
