Pommery is one of France's most renowned Champagne houses. Established in 1836, Madame Pommery is credited with creating the first vintage ‘brut' style of Champagne in 1874, at a time when most Champagnes were excessively sweetened with sugar. The Brut Royal is elegant and lively with small assertive notes of red fruits. A rounded, rich, delicate wine that lingers in the mouth. The blend is a third between Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier for balance and complexity. It makes a great accompaniment to seafood mollusks, such as oysters, mussels or clams. Drinks best with that special loved one.

Spoke to the folks at La Vinotheque first to discuss a type of Champagne I wanted to have shipped as a gift, extremely knowledgeable and recommended a particular bottle of Champagne. The Champagne has been received, and the gift was loved! Thanks for a great selection and great customer interaction!

When the store I frequent was out of a particular label of Veuve Clicquot that I usually purchase, a staff member asked me if I would like to taste a few others. Pomeroy Brut was one of them. I was very happy at how well it compared to VC, and a better value at about $13 less expensive.

I thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of this Pommery champagne. It was crisp and flavorful without the yeastiness that many champagnes have. Great with food, and without.

Pleasantly surprised at how nice this one is. Not overly complex, but a nice flavor, and it is well balanced. Just the right level of sweetness for a brut with a nice sourness to match it. Will absolutely buy this again, and no problems recommending this to others looking for a great, yet not overly expensive champagne.
If you are in search of an inexpensive bottle of Champagne, you have found it! Pommery Brut Royal NV has an elegant nose of toast, yeast, brioche and clean fruit. It's light and refreshing with surprising depth of flavor. With just the right amount of acid, it finishes with a creamy mousse, and it pairs remarkably well with food - a nice treat!
Pommery Brut Royal has become our Champagne of choice for special and not-so-specal occasions. An ideal balance of fruit, mineral and bubbles with a nice finish...and at a reasonable price. Worth trying if you want something a bit more refined than other sparkling wines.
We visited the Pommery Champagne House in Reims, France, last summer. This became our favorite immediately after sampling many other champagnes. We were excited to find it in the Total Wine Store and will be back for more. The taste is smooth and we do not get a headache after drinking the entire bottle!! Love it and so happy we know where to find it for our special occasions.
I heard great things about this champagne and have wanted to try it and finally it is in stock! It did not disappoint. About the same price as Moet or Veuve. So worth trying. It is light and bubbly! No aftertaste and with more body than Moet much more interesting to drink. Definitely worth buying and trying.
Too dry for my taste. Not a fan of the aftertaste. Picked it up because of the sale and it was on most end caps for New Years. Not very familiar with actual Champagne but I do enjoy sparkling wine and find better california made.
Very palatable. Lots of large bubbles. No unpleasant aftertaste. Never upsets stomach or results in ja hangover. Compares well to our go-to Moët & Chandon.
