I put the pump on a power meter and it was actually only pulling around 30 watts which is lower than the stated rate on the box. is whisper quiet and so far performing better than the equivilent much more expensive German pump it is replacing . On my figures it will be about 9 months and it has payed for itself in usage savings . very happy also loved the fact it had numerous fitting options and a pre filter and a 3 year warranty.
